I'm so disappointed. I waited ten minute for the spicy sandwich. The breast was way too large for the bun and smeared in mayo. The breading fell right off the breast. The ENTIRE crust. Wasted 13 dollars and I really wanted to like this place. The restaurant itself was clean so that's a plus!
Just went in today for lunch. I got a hot honey chicken sandwich. The sandwich is very big and the contrast of sweet but the heaviness of it. But it wasn't really spicy. Overall it was tasty and fresh. The service is friendly too.
The food is pretty good, especially your first time around, each time you go it kinda loses its novelty. My pictures doesn't do the food justice but this sandwich was pretty good. The service is good, seems like a mom and pop store that has family working there, real personal service. The ambience isn't too anything crazy , regular chicken shop setting and they play some music , seems like more of a take out place and less of a dine in place. Coming here once in a while is preferred.
We came here because we saw them on Instagram. We arrived on a weekday thirty minutes after they opened and it was pretty empty during the entire time we were there waiting for food. The restaurant itself looks new and had a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered: * Mac & Chicky Sandwich with Sweet BBQ sauce ($11.49) * Trio Jerk Chicken Platter ($16.00) * Chicky's N Tot's ($15.49 but added Mac and cheese for $3.00) * Waffle Fries ($5.49) * 2 Jarritos ($5.98) * Coke Zero ($2.99) came out to $66.35 Food itself was okay. The portions are very generous but the fried chicken itself is okay, the sauce is really what makes the dish. The jerk chicken had a good amount of heat and the coleslaw tastes like it's from the grocery store. Sweet bbq sauce is basically sweet baby rays sauce. This place is your average Instagram restaurant you see go viral online because of their massive portions. This place is a solid 3/5, not bad but not great either. I don't think I'd go out of my way to eat here again.
I went to this place in my neighborhood for some chicken. It's street parking only. It takes a while for the order so you may want to pre-order. My order took 30 minutes. I ordered the Peri Peri Half Chicken, sweet potato fries and Jerk Chicken over rice. All sauces on the side. I didn't use the sauce after I realized how spicy both dishes were without the sauce. I did try a little of the sauce. It was good. The jerk chicken was very spicy. I was still able to taste the flavors of the spices on the chicken. On the dry side because no sauce but not too bad. The peri per was also good. Very spicy also. The breast meat was very dry but the rest was good. Overall flavorful chicken.
This chicken place is serving up some good chicken options that we did enjoy. The ambiance is a medium sized open room with tables and chairs nothing special. They have a fridge with sodas and juices and desserts I don't get like tres leche but alright. The wings are great the first time I got them I got them grilled I didn't know there was two options that's what they gave me. I believe they also offer fried but the grilled It was great! It was charred and really good it's really a must have item. We got it with the lowest heat sauce but it was really, really good. I got the cheese fries which were good but def needed more cheese on them. We also got the Mac and cheese chicken sandwich I do wish it had more flavor it's really not as good as the original chicken sandwich. It had way too much mayo and no spice at all. The spicy chicken sandwich was great the chicken patty itself was huge my goodness when comparing to the bun. The sandwich is juicy and is worth the wait. But really spicy like really spicy wow. The original is good my daughter enjoyed it. Of course the food is made to order so there is a wait mine was about 20 min each time.
10 Stars Over here for Chicky's for Shaw !!! So we hit this spot last week sorry yelpers & Chicky's I forgot to post this review my bad .... Ok y'all know I'm a big fan of this Chicken Craze that been popping off around town; Birdies, Dave's and Now Chicky's & they could very well be my number one beating out Birdies !!! For real yo; This is definitely a must try must go to and get ya freak on; we took a ride from Brooklyn had my Floridians in from Florida who also are in on this Chicken craze they loved their chicken as well ... super moist, tasty and crispy !!! The restaurant is very clean and their service is fast & friendly. We had the following; Chicky's & Chips, welcome to flavor town and this dish comes fully loaded just look at my pictures I highly recommend this dish especially if ya real hungry... Chicky's Jumbo Chicken Tenders; delicious fried to perfection & super moist; their Chicky sauces are game changers; also highly recommend 5 pc will definitely get you right !!! Peri Peri Rice was very nice, especially topped with their Chicky sauce ... Mac & Cheese was also on the money .... FYI; we opted not to add any heat to our chicken so we kept it mild but next visit we gonna kick it up a notch or two for Shaw !! While we were dining in we had the pleasure of meeting Sammy the owner who's such a nice guy very hospital kept coming over to our table to ask if everything was ok and everything was super delicious..... Sammy sent us a complementary order of his famous and delicious fried Oreos !!!! Also a must try... I highly recommend Chicky's if you love Ya Chicken this place will not disappoint..... Can't wait to return and explore their menu.. Thank you Sammy & the entire team at Chicky's from the front of the house to the back... What an awesome food experience..... Food here was excellent. I ordered the chickys burger it was really good, tasty but i couldn't finish it. The tenders were good, huge too but couldn't finish it. The service was cool. But a lil bit confusing because the guy was telling us he had no more rice but we could substitute the rice, but would have to pay more, I didn't get that. The place was clean af too!
Can't go wrong with Fried Chicken for a weekend lunch. Ambience: Walking into Chicky's was like walking into a takeout in the hood. You order at the counter, pick up your food and sit at one of the few tables. Food: I ordered: Chicky's Fried Chicky's Chicken Over Rice - crunchy nuggets of fried chicken bathed in a spicy sauce over a bed of rice. Just the right amount of heat, crunch and texture. 4/5 Chicky's Spicy Chicken Sandwich - spicy fried chicken sandwich. Need I say more? Better than Wendy's but short of Popeyes. 4/5 Peri Peri fries - French fries with some Cajun seasoning? 2/5

Preferred the chicken over rice (basmati) with the sauces on the side. Shredded chicken has good grilled flavor. They put too much sauce when you order with already. Couldn't taste the chicken anymore. Small place, i think 4 tables for 4. Ok service.
The sign isn't well lit so you can end up passing this place by and there's only street parking available. The staff was cool, quick and helpful. The ambiance is interesting with black and white as there base colors and flames to add some flare. The chicken over rice was good, I really like how the chicken was grilled it had a good flavor and texture and the chicky's sauce is good if you like white sauce you like the chicky's sauce. The fries did what a fry is supposed to do but the chicken sandwich was mostly bread with a small slice of meat not sure what that was about, not sure if I'll be back but it was worth a try.
This is very disappointing that one my favorite spots to eat in Ny is losing their touch , i cant even explain the feeling i had when i ate this and let alone made me sick to my stomach and dislike This Store. Something needs to be done their food are good but not everything you see in Pictures are Promised please save your money and time

The Nashville chicken over fries was quite good and if you can handle a decent amount of spice, I recommend you opt for their spicier sauces. Prices were okay, kinda pricey for what you get but everything is pricey nowadays. The coleslaw on the food was kinda mid imo but that's me comparing it to the cole slaw at two other hot chicken joints in NY. That said, no one is coming to a joint like this for the coleslaw so my criticism is irrelevant. read more

Order this thru uber eats because I had seen some co-workers order it and it looked amazing. The portions are HUGE and the chicken is amazing. The hot one is HOT. Also the double Mac burrito not pictured is the size of a yeti thermos. Highly recommend read more

Upon ordering I read the reviews and it was rated really high in which I had really high hopes for this place. It looked really good in the pictures but it just tasted very and soggy. I didn't taste any spice to it. Although I did let it sit for 10 minutes before eating which could be the reason it got soggy, but I really did not enjoy the chicken sandwich. Maybe the other choices would taste better. read more

This Nashville chicken is the best chicken sandwich I ever had. The chicken was fresh and soft. Medium spicy had a pretty good kick to it. The sandwich comes with the right amount of coleslaw and pickles. My daughter ordered the spicy chicken sandwich which was humongous, but unfortunately she did not like the sandwich and did not eat it. I tasted it and it was mediocre, something with the sauces did not blend so well. I also ordered the chicken over rice for my wife. This is not the typical halal. The chicken was cubed pieces of chicken, and it was just okay. Wifey did not really like it, but she agreed that Nashville sandwich hits hard. I would definitely try this place out. It gets 5 stars because the chicken seems to be made to order and is fresh. There was about a 20min wait from the initial order. P. S. Make sure to eat the sandwich as soon as possible, the sauces will get the bun soggy. read more
Delicious! Tried this via a door dash delivery and was given wonderful portions. It was definitely a scale up from some halal chicken over rice or fried chicken spots. The flavors were different with the sauces and the options are unique! I ordered 5 fried tenders but did not really have any sauce on the tenders and no fries so it was a little bare bones but the chicken itself was succulent and fresh. My dad loved his spicy chicken burger and my mom enjoyed the chicken over fries. Would love to try again. read more
I drive by this place often for work and have always been curious. I was in the mood for something a bit spicy and different so I ordered the jerk chicken. The sauce does have a spicy kick. The chicken is very decently seasoned and cooked. Honestly, just feel for the price the platter is very basic. read more
DELICIOUSSSS Absolutely coming here again and trying half the menu. This time we got a chickys n' chips with peri BBQ sauce (medium spice) and it was saurrr good You get crispy french fries and juicy fried chicken covered in cheese, peri peri, BBQ sauce, and a sauce that looked a bit like kewpie mayo (but unsure) with a sprinkling of peppers and red onion. Balance in every bite, gets you wishing you ordered more. Kinda wish it wasn't in the middle of nowhere (sorry Bellerose residents) but definitely a hidden gem worth the trip We dined in and heard staff were singing in the back and having a good time, chill work environment, love to see it. Inside has a good amount of seating, very clean (outdoor seating is also available but not much ambiance and very close to the trash). I got the Chicky's N' Chips with Peri BBQ sauce and all the fixings. It was spicy, but not overwhelmingly hot. The boneless chicken and fries were perfectly crisp as well. I'll be making a return trip in the near future. read more

I was not a fan of this place. I ordered take out and my food was well packaged. The wings: I ordered habanero sauce. I wished I knew to order extra sauce on the side because the sauce was good. My wings was a little undercooked. I had to reheat them in the oven to cook them a little more. Spicy chicken sandwich: the medium was not spicy at all. The chicken is covered in a lot of breading that kept coming off Chicken & chips: i ordered the spicy sauce. It has a kick to it but it's not "spicy", I've had SPICY before and the way this place hypes the description of their spicy sauce is not what it's cracked up to be. Again, the breading on the chicken kept coming off. The food has great flavors but I wouldn't go out my way to return back here. read more
Chickys is perfect for grabbing takeout or some late night grub. My favorite dish was the chickys and chips - a layer of French fries and chicken bites gets topped with sauces of your choice, topped with jalapeños, onions, and peri peri spice - I loved how saucy everything was but still stayed soooo crispy! All the food here is heavily influenced by South African and Portuguese flavors which really makes the restaurant stand out. Almost all their dishes incorporates the peri peri spice which gives everything a complex and subtle heat. Loved the mango habanero sauce. Other highlights included the poutine French fries and fried Oreos. Warning - all the food is super heavy and fried so consider this a cheat meal lol! Peri-peri was calling our name on a weekday evening, so we landed on Chicky's for delivery. I went for the spicy chicken sandwich. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the "so hot - eat at your own risk" level of spice, but it was hella spicy. I couldn't finish it. I appreciated the portion, though. (My partner will eat the leftovers - I'm not touching it again!) I wish the breading hadn't come off so easily. The sweet potato fries were a nice addition, and if you're feeling super fancy, go for the fried Oreos, which come with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. (I'm pretty sure the sauce is Hershey's- brings back childhood memories!) The ice cream was a bit melted because it shared the container with the warm Oreos, but after popping it in the freezer while we ate the main meal, the ice cream with Oreos was a perfect way to cool down my mouth. read more

Ordered nashville hot chicken sandwich and jumbo chicken tenders via grubhub. It wasn't upto the hype that was created by the amazing reviews. Chicken tenders were hot and not tasty. Also the fried chicken patty in the burger tasted like stale oil. I guess they are not changing frying oil enough. Decent in taste. Absolutely delicious! Lots of flavor and the chicken is moist and juicy while still being crunchy. The fries are incredible! Chrispy and full of flavor with the sauces they drench them. Definitely not to be missed. read more
