Looking for a healthy chicken brought us here to Chicken Nuevo. The location wasn't the greatest. We ended up on the wrong side of the building. Walking in we got greeted. Asked about the coupon we got off their website, the girl looked annoyed and had to call her manager. Wasn't a very friendly welcoming feeling. Upon arriving home, the chicken was good but not nothing to talk about. Tortillas were delish!! the Salsa was meh.

This restaurant has some great tasting menu items. I chose the three taco option while my partner selected the 1/4 chicken. My tacos toppings had a flavorful mesh of lettuce, grated parmesan and marinade that could double as a side salad. It was quite fresh. The 1/4 chicken was a large portion of food which included rice and beans. I always taste the beans these tasted quite authentic. I would say the value met price point. The eating area was clean and included a salsa bar.

4 inch Large Burrito for 3.95...beware!

I'm torn writing this review. I love the food here. The one star is for the price I paid for a "large" bean and rice burrito, which I was told by the cashier was at least 8" long and "big" for $3.95. I ordered it, took it home and discovered I paid nearly $4 for a 4 inch burrito that was lightly filled. That's $1 and inch! When I called back the cashier told me that was correct and she didn't know why the burritos are made that way! She apologized and wished me a good night. She didn't apologize for being up front with me about the size. No need to say that I feel taken avanage of and do not plan on returning here. Be sure to check your order before leaving the establishment with your order!

    Gotta love that!

Great authentic Mexican food. They have really expanded their menu and to other locations ever since they opened over 10 years ago. It is a family owned and operated restaurant. The carne asada burrito is great and massive and unlike alot of other "so called Mexican" restaurants they DO NOT charge for guacamole. Because any Mexican knows that charging for guacamole at a Mexican joint is like McDonalds charging for ketchup it just shouldn't happen, but thats besides the point. I usually get the number 3 combo and the chicken is always crispy and perfectly cooked. They marinate they chicken for over a day so it has an amazing taste! If you are ever in Tucson you must go to any of the locations they have, you wont be disappointed

I have always had good everything here. The food is hot. The salsa is always fresh and it reminds me of eating in Puerto Peñasco

Was good for what it was. I quick serve, regional Pollo loco type of spot. I'd return. Solid with proper expectations.

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.

Spacious patio area, with cool lights, umbrellas, and many tables. If you have a choice and it isn't too hot, sit outside. The food is stellar! I got their ranch style flat enchilada, which is more or less a thick masa topped with enchilada flavors and spices. So yummy. (And it's vegetarian too!) The rest of the table (3 more) ordered the green chicken enchiladas. They didn't need to rave about it: their plates were completely clean at the end of the meal! We ordered Tamarindo and Horchata drinks between us, and frankly, the Tamarindo is some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Service can be a little slow, especially if they're busy. But we didn't really mind. It was a nice experience.

Their back patio looks super cute for warmer nights and the food was great. Little bit of a wait but the friendly servers got us sat as soon as possible at 7pm Saturday. Salsa and chips were tasty, the carne asada was excellent. The corn tortillas are thick and perfectly charred. The green enchiladas were good too. The sauce was thicker than usual, but that's probably the Native fusion instead of being just Mexican enchiladas. So glad we stopped in, we ate every bite. Forgot to take a picture until I was half through!

Honestly, I wish I could give Yaquesita a little more, maybe half a star more, because this place definitely has potential. Their flavors are good, but compared to similar restaurants the menu feels a bit overpriced. For a party of three we ended up paying around $100, which felt like a bit much for what we got. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3-4 tables inside, but the patio is a decent size and has a cute vibe. It's actually a nice option on cooler days if you don't mind sitting outside. Some items were better than others. The wet-style burrito was delicious and definitely a highlight. The quesabirrias were good, however the birria felt more like fancier shredded beef. It was missing that rich, spicy, slightly acidic, earthy flavor that usually sets birria apart from barbacoa or traditional shredded beef dishes. The bowl was just okay and had lots of lettuce. It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal. If you're in the area and looking for a safe bet where everyone will probably find something they like, it's worth giving them a try.
