If I could give 0 starts I would. Sides are small even when asked for large. Food is not fresh. Carne Asada was very dry and cold with no seasoning on it. Chicken had no flavor, my toddler refused to eat it. Large order of rice was very small. Worst Peruvian experience ever. Will not be returning

The food is delicious and prepared in a timely manner. The lomo saltado and ceviche tasted authentic. I will be coming back to try the other menu options. Would definitely recommend!

The lady was helpful and the chicken was good. Nice prices and good selection of food. This was my first time eating here and I'm glad i did the chicken was nice and juicy not dry or anything. I tried the plantains they were pretty good. I don't eat them enough to judge how good they were. I also ordered the salad and added the green sauce to it. It was very peppery and I don't like spicy things but i kept eating so you know it was good.

I have ate here many times before and after eating our meal today I was utterly disgusted at what I saw right before I left! They had put two pre-cooked chickens back into the rotisserie grill-I suppose to reheat them and added about 10 Raw chickens into the same rotisserie grill to cook all together! Cross contamination at its finest! I hope I don't get sick!

The food is delicious, the service was great, so glad to have found a Peruvian chicken place in Fredericksburg!

Not sure why there are negative reviews on here, for a small family owned place you get exactly what you expect. The place was cleans (bathrooms very clean which is a pet peeve of mine) and the food was delicious. The kids (6 and 4) are every last bite! I am so happy to have found a Peruvian chicken place!!! Will be coming back!

The food was delicious. The cashier was not as friendly because she was busy but the food made up for that....Everything was super fresh!

Ordered a variety of plates as the family wanted a few options for an early dinner We ordered the baleadas with meat, queso birrias, chicken tamales, and pupusas. Overall, the pupusas were the best and the winner amongst the family. The baleadas were a little disappointing as it was a few little marinated meat, and the queso birrias were okay, nothing wrong with them. And the chicken tamales were good. Overall, definitely returning and likely trying other plates such as their soups or other traditional Central American plates.

The meat felt like a cheap cut and the flavor wasn't good. The salad looked old but I always enjoy trying the carne asada at different places because some times I have a big craving. It just wasn't worth the price but even if I had paid half the price, I wouldn't order it here again. The service was friendly and the ambiance was nice. As mentioned earlier, it's a bit cool in the restaurant so be prepared for that. There have been some very hot days so this place can be a refreshing place to dine in. There was a decent selection on the menu so at least there are plenty of other choices. If I came here again, I would definitely try a different dish but based off of a common dish not fairing well with me, I'll be skeptical of the others.

I had made a reservation for 7 but one of my family members had to cancel last minute. When we were walked to our table, we walked past a table for 6 and then we continued walking past it. We ended up being sat at a table for 4 with two chairs on the end of it. We had asked to be moved over but they had said they were going to split the table into two seperate tables. Now, I question where they were going to seat us if we were 7! Personally, I don't like to be bumping knees at the table, especially if we are paying a few hundred for our dinner. I understand that the restaurant wants to make as much money as possible however I believe they can do so without making an uncomfortable experience for their patrons.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious, especially the dessert! We were visiting a friend who recommended this spot, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, but even with a full house, it was still easy to have a conversation at the table. Overall, a great dining experience and a place we'd happily return to.

Pachamama Peru was the fifth stop in my fall food truck hop! This is a food truck serving…read moredelicious authentic Peruvian food from meats directly raised on their farm and locally sourced produce from other farms. The first time I came across them was during the Saturday morning Downtown Charlottesville City Market (pre-covid). I've also encountered them at Charlottesville Festival of Cultures (pre-covid) and most recently at the Autumn Nights Thursday Night Market (which ended in October *SAD*).  We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, lomo saltado and tried a few empanadas (the chicken empanada & the beef, egg & olive empanada. Amidst everything eaten, the pulled pork sandwich truly stole the show! The sandwich included a heap of Wandering River Farm pork shoulder with pickled red onions and jalapenos on a light, fluffy bun. The meat wasn't thinly pulled like I'be seen in many American based pulled pork sandwiches, but more broken into small, juicy tenderized bite size morsels, lathered in an amazing creamy spicy sauce and then piled on top of the buns - overflowing onto the platter with a side of fried sweet potatoes. The fried sweet potatoes were also pretty good - they kept their shape and were actually fried in thin circular slices. Unfortunately, by the time we demolished the pulled pork sandwiches, they had lost some of their fresh crunch and thus were a bit softer than expected, but nonetheless the fried sweet potatoes were a good side dish to the sandwich! The lomo saltado was stir fried beef tenderloin with onions and tomatoes, served with a side of papas fritas (hand cut potato fries) and white rice. This dish was prepared on the spot - cooked over an open stove and thus the flavors were super fresh and worth the wait~ The empanadas had thicker, doughier shells (which I really appreciated) and were filled to the brim with meat. Not super spicy but the sauces that came with them really gave the flavor an extra
