It was my second visit this week. The food is very good and large portion, are very generous. The staff is friendly but the girl on the register slammed her fist when I missed ordering the Alfajories and made a second purchase. She gave a deep stare like I was in the way and taking too long. If your day is too long, talk to your manager; do not take that out on the customer. A good way to loose business that you (the employee) has not footed a dime for. Check yourself. Stopped in with my friend for my first taste of Peruvian food. We got the half-chicken and the carne-asada, with green beans, spinach, plantains and of course rice. The chicken was delicious, but beef was just okay. I was expecting an interesting blend of spices that would provide a taste of Peru, but was disappointed. I have eaten here now 5 or 6 times and always leave satisfied with the service and food. The restaurant is friendly, inviting, bright, and colorful and staff is friendly and awesome. My go to meal is the Lomo Saltado and love it. It does take them about 10 to 15 minutes to make it as it's not at the front counter with the chickens and sides but if you want an awesome meal the wait is worth it. The Lomo Saltado has beef strips, tomato's, onions, fries, and rice with a marinade made with vinegar, soy sauce, and chili peppers and spices. It really is awesome! I was able to make two meals out of this one, and so did my husband. My husband got the Lomo Saltado and he said it was very good! We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday while in the Stafford Market Place shopping at Lowe's. Didn't know that this location (which used to be a Honeybaked Ham, was changed into a Peruvian Chicken joint, but we were very happy to find this out!!! They were moderately busy when we got there and service was quick and friendly. They had tons of sides available, as well as the typical menu you'd find at most Peruvian Chicken joints, like the charcoal chicken and Lomo Saltado, they had Pollo Saltado also. I opted for half chicken which came with two sides. For sides, I chose fried rice and yuca. The fried rice was awesome! I typically love the fried rice at Peruvian Chicken joints more than from Chinese restaurants, and this one here didn't disappoint! Yuca is something I ALWAYS get, as I love the combo of fresh yuca which has been fried up slightly crispy and then dipped into a tasty yellow sauce. Well, their yellow sauce was on-point, but the yuca was dry and had been sitting in the bin a little too long, as they probably made a big batch. On to the chicken - It was spectacular! The flavors of the spices were spot on (even if ever so slightly too salty) and they did an excellent job getting the seasoning rubbed into all crevices and cavities! The chicken was perfectly cooked and moist, definitely not overdone and dry. The green sauce the came with it was fresh, very tasty and perfectly spicy! Spicy enough to make me sweat is exactly how it should be... I went through 10 cups of that delicious stuff!! I saw several people ordering tres leches, so I decided to take a couple home. I tried one in the evening for dessert after dinner and it looked great, but the icing was too sweet. The cream in it was perfect, but the cake was a little too dry, even with the amount of cream in the container, which I do prefer lots of cream and there was the right amount included. Overall, I thought it was a great visit and I'm very happy to know I can get really good Peruvian eats locally! On Sunday they offer ceviche, so I think on my next visit, I'll give that a try. My family LOVES the chicken here! The rice and beans are delicious, but my favorite is the plantains. We have tried the other meats, but always come back to the chicken. I do not eat meat, and they offer a veggie burrito option. It is HUGE!! Stuffed full of rice, beans, peppers, onions and avocado. They give 2 sauces on side, one is green and one is creamy. Over the past year I've eaten at this place several times with only a few issues with slow service. The inside seating area extends towards the back of the restaurant although the front seating area looks rather small. I've dined in a couple times but majority of my visits are stop in, order, pickup and go. The online ordering (both times) were never worth it because the orders were never ready on time. The food is consistently good; hot and full of flavor. I've had food from the main line (chicken, veggies, rice etc.) and I've ordered other menu items with no issues with either. This is my favorite Peruvian chicken restaurant! I have had guapos, and while that restaurant is delicious, it doesn't hold a candle to Super RIco! It's located near my job, so after they opened and we were doing a work lunch, we decided to get Super Rico. I got a half chicken, and it was moist AF! The flavor was good, and it had a nice amount of char. The creamy yellow-ish sauce was perfect for dipping the chicken in, too! The green sauce is way too spicy for me, so I don't even trifle with it in the slightest. I will say, my yuca fries were not the world's best, but I didn't eat my meal fresh. I probably didn't eat it until it had already sat for about an hour and a half, at which time, I reheated it in the microwave. That could have possibly had an effect on why I wan't blown away by them. They were still decent, but not anything to write home about. The show stopper, though, I will tell you, was the friend platanos! Or plantains, for those who aren't hip. The caramelization on them, the flavor, omg everything about them was amazing. I almost went and ordered a large side to pick up on my way home, but then remembered, I'm on a diet, and I shouldn't have eaten the first side I had that day, hahaha! This place is so good!! I'd never been here before & I'm upset that I didn't find this place earlier. The workers are nice; they don't speak English well, but friendly. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you in styrofoam containers, regardless of if you're eating in or to go. You could see the chickens being cooked and cut up right in front of you. It was like a lunch assembly line. The food was great ! I got the 1/4chicken with green beans and pasta salad (did not like the pasta salad) I did like the rice. When we asked for more sauce they continued to try and not give us more. I was disappointed when they got my order wrong though. I always ask for fries or yuca on the side when I get Pollo Saltado to prevent them from getting soggy but unfortunately for me they misheard my order. Then, at checkout I asked for Horchata and the person ringing me up looked me dead in the eyes and said okay and I said are you sure (because they didn't ring it up) and they said yes. The mixed veggies were just plan old Normandy veggies that come in the bag and they just steamed it no seasoning added to it.
