Terrible service! i went with some friends and we all decided to share the large order of panchos. The panchos are very tasty but the service was horrible! The waitress was upset that we only ordered that for our table so she was not very kind to us after that. You usually get beans for each person along with chips and salsa as you walk in, and we did not get either. When we asked if we were getting beans, she said, "not today." when we then asked for chips and salsa, she said "no." She then came back with the chips in a small bowl when all other tables got a regular sized basket. We would have tipped her the same (and well) no matter what we ordered as we were all paying separately, so no need to be so rude. This was after I gave them a THIRD chance after getting rotten tasting chicken 2 previous times. The first time, i thought it was just me and didnt complain. The 2nd time, i went with a friend and had her taste it and she said it did taste rotten so i asked for another plate. No apology or anything, just a smug "well what else do you want?" and i let those other experiences go only to get treated badly a 3rd time! Never going back again! Brisket lacked taste and Smokey flavor, it almost seemed undercooked. The sausage quality was also very generic and rubbery skin. The best part was the Bbq sauce. read more

We ordered the family platter with brisket, fajita, sausage and chicken. We could not eat the fajita because it smelled so foul and did not taste good. Everything else was okay but for the amount of money we spent (we also ordered the poppers and guacamole) I would definitely not recommend this place to eat. I found a hair in my chicken and when I showed the waitress, she simply said oh the chefs bald, when the hair was clearly hers crumbled up the napkin threw it away and made me pay full price. Don't eat here unless you want to be treated like shit. read more

This place is not getting the praise it deserves. The food here is fantastic! A lot of my friends dismiss this place due to the name. Despite the name they have a wide selection on their menu. I have tried the fajitas, brisket, chicken, and sausage. All were savory. My friends have ordered the burgers and love them. Heck they even have Nachos and Caldo de Res. I go there at least once a week and you should defenitly check it out. Update: I forgot to mention how friendly the service is there. Good service should always be recognized. read more

The brisket was my favorite, and I'm usually not a huge fan of brisket. It was super soft and flavorful. The place wasn't all that crowded, so service was quick and attentive. This place was really good. I ordered the brisket sliders and it was really good. They really added the meat onto the sliders and the meat was juicy. The last slider's bun was a little soggy but I guess that's too be expected when the meat is juicy :) I love the free tortilla chips they give you. The waitress reminded me of a Mexican version of my Korean aunt and she was friendly. Price was on point for what received. read more

Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed- it appears that your employee can't even handle or try to resolve or get a hold of the owners to get an issue resolved - I ordered tostadas asked specifically that you not put white cheese as I don't eat white cheese requested yellow cheese as I always do !! But still they came with white cheese ., while I waited for Vanessa to call back after 15 minutes o had to call her back only for her to tell me she can't get a hold of either of the owners suggested I call back in 30 minutes- this is is laughable to say the least here all while my guests has all ready ate there meal ... then she suggested I go pick it up !! Upon calling to advise of the mistake she stated it wasn't her fault there was nothing she could do , the other employee had just left and she had just arrived what a crock of sorry excuses!!! Very large portions of excellent food is what you'll find here. Service is spotty during the busy times, but folks do their best to accommodate anything reasonable even then. A great spot for both Tex-Mex and "standard" food. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed... read more

After seeing the reviews my family and I decided to eat here wow what a big mistake that was!! The service was good but that's about it the brisket was fatty and gross the chicken had a buffalo wings style sauce all over it the fajita must be the worst in the whole valley!!! We were in Brownsville and decided to try this place because it had good reviews. Sad to say I was disappointed. The name of the restaurant had "mesquite smokehouse" in the name but we didn't have anything that was smoked or cooked with mesquite. I got the chicken and it had a buffalo sauce and it looked as though it was baked in an oven. The same for the brisket. I've had smoked brisket and this one looked like it was made in a roaster over, and it was extremely salty. Kudos in the beans, though. A different take with adding small brisket pieces instead of bacon. Overall the food was okay, I was just disappointed because I was expecting "smoked" bbq. read more
