Came to try out this chicken and pickle location for the very first time. The place is super beautiful inside and outside as it's newly built. I came here for a pet charity event. However the experience started a bit rough unfortunately. My husband and I went to order at the bar but the bartender told us to go and order at the cashier instead if we wanted to walk around with our food. So then we went to the cashier in which we waited on this one site staff who was doing something with register then walked away then this other girl came and said she can't take our order as she is not 21. So my husband got super upset and we left. However since I wanted to help the charity event as some of the proceeds from food and drinks went to the dog charity organization I went back to order a blue moon in which Kobe was an awesome bartender who completely changed my mood. I appreciated his service and the fact that he was apologetic about the whole experience although it wasn't even his fault. We came to watch nba final, but wrong place, they had music bingo loud. We decided to eat some food, i got the show me burger with tots, tots were COLD! We also got signature tenders; it was super hard to chew on and slimy inside ,very breaded on outside!!!impossible to eat and very disappointing! Service was good and people were nice! What an amazing place! Li expected a fun time with pickleball and it certainly was. The staff there was great. What surprised me was the dining experience where all of the food is scratch-made. Can you believe they roast rotisserie chickens in-house? All of the food is fresh and delicious. Our server Kaydra was so friendly and had an amazing positive attitude. I was nervous coming into chicken and pickle because I read all the reviews but my experience was otherwise. My husband booked two courts for my birthday! We had about 16 people split the two courts. It worked out because some people ate first while some people played and then we switched off. At first I thought 2 hours wouldn't be enough time but it ended up being plenty. We got the bacon bird which was okay (little burnt) but the tator tots it came with was fire. One Tiny complaint: they do book reservations back to back. So they kick you off your courts really fast when another reservation comes in. I didn't like the pressure of being rushed. We were told that there wasn't a reservation for 30 mins so we were okay with being on the court but as soon as a new reservation came in they had to get us off quickly and I didn't like being rushed like that. I feel like they should allot 15mins in between reservations so that we're not pressured to rush off the court. They weren't being mean about it or anything, just rushed. The place was clean and well kept. There's lots of space, cool turf area for kids and gatherings outdoors in the middle. We went to Chicken N Pickle on the first Sunday for Kids Krew. They offer brunch from 10 am to 2 pm ($26 for adults and free for kids). The food was alright (wouldn't pay for brunch again) but Bingo made up for it. We had a fun time playing Bingo for gift cards and pickleball paddles. There's a different theme each month and we were greeted by Bluey in June. They had paper doghouse crafts and bracelet making sets. I cannot believe this is my first time coming here. Atmosphere/Ambiance - 5/5 - This area is very close to the Hub, where I think most people up north know that area. This place has 2 open area courts and then a few that are covered (in a building). It has a large play area for the kids, and also have plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Staff - 5/5 - Very Friendly. They explained the process regarding both Pickleball court reservations and the main reason why we were there (V day event). Food/Drink - We came on Sunday, which is their Sunday brunch $26 from 10 am - 2 pm). We had the following (at the buffet): - The kid's 'table' had cheese pizza and HUGE tenders. Both were great. - Mini Salmon Avocado Toast - 5/5 - These get refilled, but go by fast. - Omelet station - Plenty of toppings to choose from. - Smoked Salmon - 5/5 - This is where you get your money's worth. - Waffles - Great for the kids. - There are additional stations in the back that had scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruits and pastries (along with ice cream) Last but not least, they have $1 mimosas. I am delinquent in submitting this review. My husband and I got takeout dinner for the household on Friday, 8/15/25. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles, 8pc Wings (Southwest), Tasty Tots, Pork Ribs, Chorizo Queso, Quesadilla (Carnitas), and Brookie Brownies. Unfortunately, the only thing that was good was the queso. The biggest letdown was that the brownies were hard. We love brownies - but not those. First timer at Chicken n' pickle tonight. This location is more about pickleball than it is about the food. Really great facility and the ambience is fun! We came Saturday night (10 - midnight) and reserved the indoor court via the website. We initially reserved an hour and had so much fun that we stayed for two. We were a party of six - mix of older and young adults and teenagers. Facility provides paddles and balls at extra cost, however you can bring your own if have them. The courts were all full and it didn't feel overcrowded; it's spacious. Music selection and volume was great and the temp in the facility is just right. You can work up a sweat and it's not hot inside. They also have water available in coolers and refill stations at no additional cost. The outdoor area is cool with lounge chairs, turf grass, covered outdoor courts, bean bag games, and oversized games like jenga and connect 4. However, like the prior reviews, the food is mediocre. We ordered the cheeseburger with fries, fried pickles, and two specialty drinks. Staff was friendly and refunded a non alcoholic beverage that someone in my party didn't like without hassle. I will definitely come back. Cool spot to bring family from out of town especially if the group is looking for an activity. read more

My friend went to eat here and she has a serious gluten allergy, she asked the waiter "do these fries have gluten in them?" the waiter said no and when she got her food she could sense they had gluten in them so she asked the waiter again, "do these fries have gluten??" and then the waiter said "to be honest i don't know" he went to check and said yes they have gluten. I love the entertainment part of this place but when we arrived mid afternoon, the pickle ball courts were already reserved until 10 p.m. so if that is what you plan to do arrive early or maybe call to see if you can also reserve over the phone. Not sure because it was our first time. We were ok with not playing pickle ball because we have those courts where I live. They have cornhole, battleship, ping pong to name some of the other games I noticed. Beautiful weather the day we went for our group. I will say the waiting staff is set up where different waiters/waitresses come to help from the initial drink order, to the actual appetizer and overall food order and refills etc. We had a hard time initially when we arrived with service just to get drinks going. When we finally received the service, we noticed way more staff coming to check on us. The manager also came over to us, apologized for all the waiting time and any confusion and comped our desserts and some drinks on our tabs. She also gave me two gift cards ($20) for our group for our next visit. I've heard about this place before we went and was just expecting more from the food side of it. The chicken reminded me more of the flavoring from that of the big chicken legs you see at the State Fair. The smell reminded me of it too. It wasn't terrible but when I was thinking rotisserie, I was thinking the vibe/flavor from a place like Boston Market or even the rotisserie style chicken you get from the stores. We also tried the fried pickles. They were ok. The alcoholic drinks were great and we very much appreciated the manager visit and how she took care of us. I really wanted to like this place, but the experience left me pretty frustrated. I checked the website ahead of time and saw that they had a happy hour from 9-11 p.m. with $6 margaritas. That is the main reason I went and took all my friends there so late at night. That sounded great -- but when I got there and asked the bartender about it, they had no idea what I was talking about. Still wanting a margarita, I went ahead and ordered what was listed on the menu as an $8 "short" margarita. Later on, I checked with someone else and they did confirm there was a happy hour -- so I figured it would be $6 after all. But when the bill came, I was actually charged $10 per drink, which made absolutely no sense based on the menu or the happy hour details online. No one working seemed to be on the same page, and honestly, the margaritas weren't even good enough to justify the price. The staff was friendly enough, but the lack of clarity and communication around pricing really soured the experience. This place is really neat! Came here for lunch on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded. Service was friendly and the food was really good! I ordered the double flat burger with bacon and it was definitely one of the better burgers I've had here in Dallas. The chicken and waffles were really good as well.
