Chicken N' Chops had its soft opening about a week or so ago. This restaurant seems to be the first attempt of a Cavite-based restaurant to penetrate the Metro Manila market.
As their name suggests, they have all sorts of chicken and pork dishes, all at affordable rates. The location is just about right because it is very near the entry/exit of Bicutan, which means nearly all the residents of Better Living Subdivision will be seeing this place going to and from their places of work.
There's ample parking, which is a big plus since many restaurants along the main thoroughfare of Dona Soledad Avenue offer little parking space for patrons.
Chicken N' Chops was in its final stages of construction when I happened to pass by. I chatted with one of the guys standing outside and he told me that they already had a few drive by customers even if they hadn't even had their soft opening yet.
Regarding their signature chicken dishes, he assured me "masarap po!" and guaranteed that they were as good, if not better, than the well known chicken restaurants.
I could smell the chicken frying and I have to admit it whetted my appetite so much that I wanted to order. But the gent apologized and said that they were only cooking an advance order. They would be taking orders one or two days after, he told me.
I glanced at their menu and found their prices to be fair. Just about right for a restaurant that is targeting the middle class market that is Better Living.
One can eat inside or order take out at Chicken N' Chops. At the time of my visit, they were still doing finishing carpentry work.
Since chicken and pork are among the staples in the tables of most Filipino families, this new restaurant has a fighting chance of succeeding. read more
