Due to other reviews, I've avoided the sides til I recently tried the cole slaw, and found it was very good, too. Based on that, I'd try other sides. I popped in randomly while shopping in the plaza. I had never been here before so I had to actually take time to read the menu. The staff was super patient and friendly and they had that same attitude with everyone who came through the door. I got the wings, fries, and mac and cheese. The food was awesome! Simply the best Fried Chicken in our general area! We have ordered 40-50 pieces for a number of backyard parties to complement the other food and there is never a piece left. Whenever we do our overnight tuna trips, all the guys are always asking, "Are you picking up the chicken"? On the big orders we always ask for the chicken to be put in a metal tin pan rather than in the cardboard buckets. Eat here! Originally discovered this place for their wings, but so much of their menu is delicious. The original wings are spicy enough for me. The hot were tolerable but I will stick with original. I think that John K is probably right - just get a giant bucket of chicken and pick up some sides on the way home. Actaully, who needs sides? A giant bucket of chicken can be very filling. I think they have the best fried chicken and chicken sandwiches in the area but am not a fan of the side dishes (I had the fries and mashed potatoes). This afternoon my sister and I ordered fish & chips from Chicken Kitchen. When we received it and started eating it, we could not have been more disappointed. The coleslaw was sub standard, the fries were frozen fries heated up and the fish was just passable. The packaging was poorly done and sloppy. We will never order from them again. Went here last minute after reading an article online about the place. The only thing you should expect from this place is real good food. Ordered 10 of the original recipe wings and 10 of the 10 of the beyond hot. Deep fried cripsy goodness. Such meaty pieces of chicken that did not lack flavor or kick. Best wings I've had in a long time. ONLY thing I could even complain about is the fact they charge for your side of blue cheese and celery. But hey, people gotta make money somehow I guess. We order delivery from this restaurant on a regular basis and like the food alot but on multiple occasions our order has been messed up with no help from the staff but we are nice people so we just let it go. Tonight on the other hand was worse then ever we ordered delivery and the girl on the phone had no idea what she was doing and my husband and I just knew that our order would be messed up. When we called back to ask for our missing item the same girl was rude as rude could be and then put us on hold for a long time just for a man to get on the phone and basically tell us we made the mistake and not them and in his words "we can bring you the item at some point if we are in the area" very unprofessional and no customer service skills whatsoever. This resteraunt seems to like to insult their customers. To make a long story short, i am currently working full time in a location nearby and i stopped in here to grab something for lunch recently. I was already having a horrible day at work due to several of my co-workers harassing me and i was very upset. I was hoping i could at least have a reprieve from being treated so poorly while on my lunch break but i was quickly proven wrong by this establishment. As i stated before i was very upset and on the verge of tears from the harassment taking place at my job so while i was waiting for my food i was texting a family member about it to try to calm myself down and talk it out with somebody. I was no more than 15 feet away from the counter when a customer comes in to pick up her order. As she was waiting for it, she said to the woman working behind the counter at the time "That's our future right there". To which the employee responded: "That's a scary thought, isn't it?" I look up and they are both staring and laughing right at me. I am working a full time job and trying to put myself through college right now, on top of trying to save up to move out of my parents house. I mistakingly thought i could give myself a break from the stress of both my day and everything else that's going on with my life right now and just eat in peace when i went here. Evidently a young woman can't confide in a relative on her phone in this resteraunt without being insulted right to her face for it. So my advice would be if you would like to have a nice relaxing meal and not be judged at the same time, avoid this place. And to be honest, the food is average at best. read more
