Chicken King - Gross - Food Near Me - North Little Rock, Arkansas

I ordered a 50 piece Hot wing. I live over an hour away. Once I got home I realized my ordered was wrong. I called and a young man told me since I lived so far away just to call and they will make it right for me. The lady up front not only gave me a hard time, but put me on hold, "so she thought". Not only was I called horrible names, she also said "come get this order" and hung up on me. Unexceptable behavior and I will NEVER do buisness with them again. This is the location in North Little Rock read more

The food is fantastic. 5 stars! The service and ambiance is less desirable. I got the lemon pepper wings. And I don't know if I got the wrong order. But they told me it'd be hot. And it was an amazing hot wing with loads of flavor. They were out of Fries. So I ended up getting onion rings and coleslaw. The Onion Rings are definitely worth a purchase. The coleslaw was a regular creamy coleslaw, which is nice to take off the heat. The managers special comes with a drink, fries, little dinner roll and ranch. Note. There are No diet drinks here. People raved about dessert. But I didn't get one. The bad. It took 30 mins for a lunch special. Order ahead. The place isn't very nice. So don't go looking to sit down at a table. They switched cashier in the middle of my transaction, which may have caused a hiccup in the ordering. But I ended up with 2 sides for the price of one. I tried to give it back but they let me keep it. Drinks are kinda small. Ask for less ice. Overall. You should try this place for the wings. I might have to go back for the fish. read more

If you're looking for something pretty, this is not the place but if you want amazing wings pull up get your order and get up out of there. Wings are amazing!!! And the catfish is the best I ever had hands down! read more

For what I've ordered, I've give a 5. For what you see while your there, it would be a 1. By that logic, it's a 3 for me. The owner and employees definitely aren't impressed by you, the customer. Just place your order to go and go.. The building and area all look like shit. But!!!! The wings are really really good!! Love the Extra Hot sauce. read more

Chicken King has the best gd chicken wings in the entire state. There's no dining room, because they don't have time for that nonsense. Go in, put in your order, and sit there awkwardly scrolling through Instagram until they call your name. Try to get home before you start eating, but I'm willing to bet once the wing smell pervades your Kia you're going to pull over, eat one flat and say "this is the best gd chicken in the state" and then eat the entire box in a parking lot like a divorced dad. read more

Wings are always fresh. I call and ahead and my order is usually ready in a decent time. Good customer service and attentiveness to customers while ordering and picking up order! read more

One of the best places to get chicken wings! The service is also great and they are quick on getting your order ready. I recommend 100%, you will not regret it. read more

A terrific neighborhood chicken joint. I love the chicken, fish, and the occasional piece of poundcake or sweet potato pie.

The business is very small not much seating space for customers the workers are not very polite but they do speak it took more time than I expected to receive my food I personally feel like it's pricey but it's still affordable the customer service could have made my experience better unfortunately I don't see myself eating here often. The chicken is pretty good I personally don't like to fish the pork chops or fried too hard in my opinion other than that it's a decent restaurant outside of the no dining in read more

Why did the people cross the road? To get to the Chicken King! Do you want good chicken wings, in a plethora of flavors? Country Fried, Lemon Pepper, Hot & Honey Mustard BBQ, Hot, Honey Mustard, Garlic. Or maybe a pork chop, catfish, or shrimp plate ? If you've ever had any meal from here then you know why they are the King. Be forewarned you MUST call in your order at least 20 minutes before you get there, or you'll be waiting. That could be a bad thing except, EVERY order is cooked after you place it. Therefore if you show up at that magical time between when you place the order and it hits the window you've struck gold. Don't have much money? No problem you can get the poor man's special for 5.75 everyday, anytime 6 wings, fries, ranch, roll and drink. Or maybe a M-F lunch special for 6.75 and you'll get 3 more wings for your buck. Swimming in just enough sauce, so there is no need for ketchup on the fries. They are on a funky corner with limited parking so one must be careful not to whip in because there may be someone whipping out with a hot fresh lemon pepper wing in one hand and the steering wheel in the other. I love this place...Yes it's small, generally crowded, but well worth every bite. Big or small they have catering available also. read more

Wonderful! I am passing through and asked where to get good wings and I was directed to Chicken King. It's small, but it has everything you want in a southern place to eat. I was a little hesitant being the minority in the area, but the staff was super helpful and the food was really good. I got the hot and honey mustard. Word is they are known or their lemon pepper and honey mustard, but both of my choices were awesome! All of their menu looks good. Next time i'm trying the catfish. Enjoy! read more

I was pretty upset when I saw the price of feeding my family at Chicken King. We ordered a 15-piece shrimp dinner, fried okra, and a 6-piece chicken strip meal and it came out to just under $40. Ridiculous. The chicken was worse than Slim Chickens and the shrimp was mediocre at best. Instead of eating here, go to Red Lobster and order whatever you want. Or save some money and go to Slim Chickens and enjoy better food. Will not return. read more

Okay, I didn't call ahead and had to wait, but I'm going back tomorrow. The HOT chicken wings are AWESOME. Just enough bite in the sauce and a little messy, but you won't need many napkins after you lick your fingers. I'm not sure I'll be able to try all the flavors 'cuz the the HOT wings were way to addicting. read more

When ordering we were told it would be 10-15 minutes. Well it took 32 minutes and upon opening my country fried chicken order I only had 8 pieces of chicken instead of 10. Well at least my food was hot hence the 2 stars. read more

They could also call themselves Catfish King! I was jonesing for some fried catfish while in Little Rock and the offerings from Chicken King hit the spot. The fact that it was paired with hush puppies and french fries left me happy man. I also tried their extra hot chicken wings and they were fantastic. Overall, great quality and great prices. Delicious as always! We ordered fish, lemon pepper, hot and country fried with honey mustard wings. So good and ready in under 15 minutes!

I have made many trips to North Little Rock over the years. Every time I visit there on Business I have to order from the Chicken King, Lunch, Dinner or both. I make sure I go the day I arrive and the day before I leave. I even told them if I they could send it to my home I would order from them. The location might be a bit intimidating but the food is good. Call ahead if you can it's all take out. In the time I have been there they were closed once for a while. I'm not sure if it was reopened by the same young people or not but it is as good a before. They cook the best wings I have ever had from a wing joint. I had the pork chop sandwich which was great the first time. The second a little over cooked. I wish they would send me their cooking technique so I can do the same at home since I through making trips there. read more

This place is simply amazing. I live up on Scenic Hill and have to stop myself from eating here nightly. They're garlic hot tossed chicken tenders are to die for, I cannot get enough. If you like Chicken, you are doing yourself a favor by eating here. Even if you live within 5 hours, you have no excuse to have not tried it yet! read more

Love the great taste of selection .... I will be back !!! EXCELLENT !!! Salute 5 times

I ate here because I heard it was so good, and I love chicken. Well, I was very disappointed because of the prices. I ordered regular wings and teriyaki wings and they were SALTY!!!!!! I don't think I can handle eating here again.... read more

Ordered a 10 piece wings meal at lunch time. After a 45 minute wait, learned that the tickets for my order and 3 other orders weren't even printed out despite already having paid. Utter lack of management. Would not recommend, there are far better options for chicken in Little Rock. read more

My 1st time going was New Years Eve on my bday and phone ordered a 30 pc wing. Got the wings home and before I could fix my plate my daughter screams and comes in the kitchen showing me a 4 inch long strand of hair looking like weave. Now mind you that every cashier that I noticed at the front had weave in their head with no hair nets on. I couldn't see the cooks or just didn 't pay attention. Now when my wife called the Manager on the phone to complain , his 1st question to her was did she have weave in her head, WOW. And she explained to him that she didn 't and he asked if my daughter that noticed the hair in her wings had weave; and she still answered those uncalled for and ridiculous questions; which was NO she doesn't have weave. He never said he would reimburse our money, because I surely don't want ANYMORE HAIRY WINGS!!! They have POOR customer service concerning management. And customers shouldn't be asked disrespectful and rude questions just to clear Chicken Kings wrongdoings in preparing their food and not requiring their employees to wear hairnets. I will NEVER return again and I will pass the word on. Who really wants hairy food? read more
