My son wanted sushi for his birthday so after trying (and only being moderately impressed) with another sushi restaurant in town he decided to take a chance on Chin Chin. Being his birthday, we decided to get a variety of rolls for all of us to share and then individual meals for each of us. The sushi was 5 star level for Jonesboro...probably 4 stars if you were in a Little Rock or Memphis or other major city. The flavor of the fish was pleasant and the only knock I have is that they use a bit too much sauce on the rolls. Still, we devoured them very quickly once we received them. My General Tso chicken was some of the best I've had in a while. It was actually HOT (spicy) instead of just tangy. The temperature of the food was nice and hot as well, which I like. (I don't mind having to wait a few minutes for the food to cool so I know it's cooked all the way through.) My son ordered the chicken Udon soup noodles and wasn't entirely happy with it. Said the flavor was rather bland. He barely ate a quarter of it. (Felt horrible that it happened on his birthday. :( ) Bottom line: Chin Chin is in the upper level of sushi and Chinese food restaurants for the Jonesboro area.

We experienced a bit of cross-contamination on the way home and realized that the fish that everyone loves was in the same warming pan with fried shrimp which 3 out of 4 are allergic to (2 experiencing reactions) I think they were unprepared for the "after church" crowd that came in We went straight home after getting our food and found it all cold. The interior is clean and fairly well maintained but the service should be a bit friendlier. We will stick with Southern Chef #1 In the future
