We went in to place an order for carry out and the girl working the counter completely ignored one of the people in my party and was very much not paying attention. She was having a full conversation with another employee and ignored us while trying to place the order. Then after ordering I got my chicken strips and there was a hair wrapped around and inside the chicken strip. I would highly not recommend going to this location of Chick-fil-A. read more

Took my family to this Chick-fil-A location today for lunch, around noon. The place was very busy, but they had plenty of staff going around making sure tables were clean, orders were taken, all were very friendly. I was greeted when I walked in by Kennedy, whose smile was warm and welcoming. I placed my order on my phone, and it was brought out by Libby, who was as cheerful as ever. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I was able to get my drink refreshed as they like to say at the end, and even got their delicious butter mints on my way out the door. read more

We swung in here for a quick meal on a Saturday afternoon. This place was slammed just after 1:00pm, but the line was moving fast. For fun, we decided to time the whole drive-thru process from the first 'hello' to the final 'it's my pleasure'. 2:24 The Operater at this location has this drive-thru efficiency thing down to a science. We saw mostly high-school aged kids working, but they clearly knew their stuff and were definitely on the ball. Their billboard said they were hiring - $14-$15 starting wage. With those kinds of wages it's no wonder they have a bunch of efficient and talented teens working for them. We must have seen at least a dozen employees handling the drive-thru. Josiah and Beau are my new favorite people whoever hired them job well done. Now I don't usually leave reviews usually because I tend to forget when I get home. BUT. If I remembered this there's something they were doing right. I met Josiah at Lost Island where I was working when he dropped off our food. And even then he was professional even did his "my pleasure" which I gave him crap about because everytime I hear it, it sounds forced. He brightened my day on that very dreary Friday. Then today I walked in to grab some food before I went home after work. My grandpa had just died that morning so I was in a bit of a low mood then here come Josiah who I remembered and is trying to get me to apply there which I currently am thinking about it. But he made my day a little better. Then Beau was kind enough to leave me an extra treat (I cannot say what it was because idk what their policies are on handouts) anyways. He gave me a little treat to brighten my day which made me cry all the way to my car. H meet rude people all day where I work. And I just know they deal with some rough people there. I'm 70 years old and a life long customer.... all the way back to the Truett Cathy's original Dwarf House in Georgia. When this CFA opened in Waterloo, it was as good as any ever was. But in the last year the service has slowed down considerably. I almost always order take out via the app, but even after the time taken to drive to the store (8-10 minutes) I've had to wait as long as 15+ minutes for a simple order of just 1 sandwich and fries. That was never the case previously. The staff is still friendly and courteous, but something has changed in procedures or staffing that has been very detrimental to CFA's reputation as the fastest service in the industry. I'm sorry to give less than a 5. I had super high hopes for this place everybody raves about them but I can't say I feel the same way. The service was great. Fast friendly. Couldn't ask for more for a fast food venue. Loved the double drive up ordering. Food was out quickly and I was on my way. The service gets 5 star. The food, well it was meh. I ordered the classic chicken sandwich. 3 meals of them actually. First off I was so excited for the waffle fries but they were limp and zero crunch. I even ate them right as I left the drive thru so it's not like they say in the bag for awhile. My kids hated them and didn't eat them. The chicken sandwiches were ok. I got the kids theirs plain and had the mayo and pickles (classic) on mine. No flavor to the chicken breading. I've had better sandwiches elsewhere. The thing that really threw me off: the pickles on the bottom of the sandwich under the chicken. The first time I took a bite I thought I got a bad piece of chicken because of the wired texture crunch from my bottom teeth. Nope just the pickle. So the food was a 3 star. The service a 5. Chick fil has been one of my favorite restaurants but this location has to be one of the worst. Everytime we go they forget straws or don't add the sauces. The order takers cannot understand the word "colby" as they always put pepper jack on my Chick-fil-A sandwich. Went through the drive through, and the person taking our order miss heard our order. We needed 3 six piece kids meals, they had 2 four pieces on the order. As she was repeating it back to us at the window, the mistake was being corrected. A guy, who possibly could have been a manager started making comments about how it was ridiculous that people change their orders at the window, loud enough that we could hear. I'm a fan of Chick-Fil A and was there on opening day and since then. They service has been fast and the food has been consistently good in comparison to the other chain locations. Opening day they had enough staff directing traffic and inside that the wait wasn't long. This location has a play land for kids but the staff has been just as friendly as any other location. The Drive-Thru takes some time to get through but they are proactive about handing out menus for those who've never been to hurry the process. read more
