We are on a road trip and we're hoping to swing by the drive thru for a quick snack that wouldn't take too long. We even ordered ahead a mobile order to help speed up the process. When we got there, two lanes were operational. We picked the one on the right, which ended up being a mistake. The lane on the left had a person doing face to face outside and was quite speedy with her order. The right lane was using the drive thru speaker. We waited behind one car without moving while the lane on the left sent 7 cars through. Come to find out, the guy operating the speaker was not speaking as soon as you pulled up. He may be multitasking with drinks or doing something else, but it did make us take much longer than we had hoped. Avoid this location at all costs! Hands down the worst drive-thru service I have ever experienced. They only had one person taking orders, and they completely ignored the right lane speaker. I watched 12 cars go through the left lane while the right lane didn't move at all. Once I finally made it to the window, I saw several employees just standing around doing absolutely nothing. I've come here a few times as I am driving down the interstate. Lately, the service has been poor and navigating the parking lot requires top notch defensive driving skills. If you use the entrance coming from 26 south you have to drive around the building to get into the drive- thru lane. Most recently, I placed a mobile order and arrived to the restaurant, upon arrival I was directed to get into the drive thru lane and then sat for seven minutes waiting for someone to come to the speaker. We were advised there were two lanes open but the wait in one line was ridiculous. It was like they forgot the speaker was there. It was so bad the car in front kid me drove out of the lane and left the restaurant. We sat for another six minutes, waiting for the food only to be told that we were still waiting for two items, one of which comes prepared, which makes no sense. The staff and service provided at this Chick-fil-A is unlike any other. I've been to in a very long time. I love that they have the old school playground, which makes the ambience so nostalgic in the three minutes it took for me to get my food I had four of the staff members come to check on me. We've been to a lot of franchises throughout the southeast -- inside and drive thru. This was the worst experience ever. I started to order inside but after waiting in line for several minutes, behind four other customers, for the SOLE cashier to switch drawers at 11:00 with no movement or acknowledgment of the growing line, I left. We then decided to try the drive thru since no other staff were working the counter and drive thru typically is fast -- not today. It was no better and only worse because we were now stuck in traffic. If this was between 11:00-11:15, good luck at lunch time! BTW, our nuggets were warm at best and dry. Quick stop right off the interstate. Black owned which is great for this area. Service was quick and the food is top notch just like any other Chick-fil-A. This isn't my first time here so I was happy to see that there wasn't too much traffic with this being the only Chick-fil-A in the area. Also they don't have pull-up if you order online. You have to join to drive through or I guess say that you're going to eat in and you can pick up your food from inside. It looks like they are adding on to the back which will be good because we all know that this restaurant can get very crowded and parking spaces are a necessity. 1st time inside Chick-fil-A in a while. Stopped here on the way out of town. Their Mac n Cheese is awesome for a fast food restaurant. Paired with their lemonade, half regular and half diet. Without a doubt this was the busiest Chick-fil- A I've ever seen anywhere! We had two vehicle loads of people starving for something quite good to eat! Normally, I'm not a big fan of this chain but everyone else loves it! We passed an estimated one hundred places to eat in Orangeburg, and I was so hungry I could have eaten a pair of dirty socks! Finally, the lead vehicle pulls abruptly into this place. It's super crowded with three drive thru lines backed out into the highway! This was one of the times where I was slightly disappointed at the speed of service and order correctness at a CFA. It took FOREVER from order to food. Keep driving. We are on the road again and figured you can't go wrong with Chick-fil-A. So pulled off of I-26. Well the service in drive thru was like ??????! The guy kept looking pass my husband and looked at me like I was crazy! Weird. Ok maybe it's just me so we smiled said our thank you, after we ordered. We had to wait a few minutes when we pulled up. Well on top our bag was a multi bun still in plastic wrapper. My filet was in bowl at the bottom of bag. My bun was cold, not buttered or toasted. This not my first time ordering this. Never had to put together my own sandwich. Got three meals $32. Welllll the fries were cold and old. And my tea was not good at all. Seemed old not refreshing at all. This past time they were so packed we had to wait for a parking spot. After which I ran inside to order and almost left after seeing how long the line inside was. We ordered through the app, otherwise we would've attempted to get out of line and leave, however there is no way out once you get in line. You are absolutely trapped once you get in line. Contacted the Owner Operator and received the generic apology and they loaded some free rewards. After waiting 15-20 for two entrees and one was missing the CHICKEN FILET, why would I want to come back and show loyalty? A refund would be better than a reward that would never be used. Poor professionalism and disconnect with guests that come through to support a local businessman.
