The best Chick-fil-A I've ever had in my life. They know how to make their food correctly every single time. The chicken breast is breaded too perfection nice, crunchy, and thick. Fries or seasoned to perfection and they refreshed. I decided to try the peach lemonade it was so good! I may need to order a jug of that. The service is always professional and polite. Ambience of the space is decent. Their drive-through is a much better experience than eating inside. They know how to move the drive-through line quickly and efficiently. This is the only Chick-fil-A that I trust! I highly recommend going here. read more

Omg! A HOT MESS. I get told by a 13 year old I can't have my food well done! (Soggy waffle fries, and spotted half way cooked wet chicken coating should not b a requirement to eat here it does nothing for me) I ordered it crispy- and have for YEARS. I can't believe my horrible experience. I'm writing this b/c for the amount of people here... there are only 2 stalls. There was a line for men's and women... a woman throwing up. I'm dealing with a special needs kid that needs the larger stall and the staff were conducting interviews outside at at 2 out of the 4 outdoor tables outside. Chick-fil-A always lives up to the hype of awesome customer service! It was starting to get really chilly outside and I noticed there was an employee who was still taking orders outside in the drive thru. I ordered inside and our cashier was so friendly! We started up a conversation and next thing you know, our food was ready. The food to me is always good for it being fast food. Chick-fil-A has always been my favorite! I decided to give this spot a shot since I was across the street and had a curiosity if it was worth the craze. The line was nuts. They had multiple employees outside assisting in keeping things in order and directing cars on which way to go. They had cones spread out and about three different ones swooping around the entire lot to circle until you retrieve your food. I debated on leaving after a few minutes, but realistically there was hardly a way out. If you decide to try this location, keep in mind, once you get in line, you're basically stuck and almost forced to go around regardless. Long story short, make sure you're driven to wait the full duration. They have you order from an employee with a tablet-like screen. I didn't know their menu, so they had to find us a paper menu since the whole layout was designed to order before you approach the traditional menu. That was rather annoying and they seemed shocked to see we didn't know what we wanted. I've never tried it, so of course I needed a menu of some sort. I ordered the Number 1, which is the chicken sandwich with waffles fries and a drink. I upgraded to a Large drink for an addition 40 cents. I also got the 12ct breaded nuggets and the 4ct chicken strips. After we ordered we were directed to another employee, who repeated our order back to us to confirm and handed us our receipt. They took awhile to let us proceed and it seemed as if this system let the other lane's cars proceed before our lane, which was unfair. We approached the window and they had another employee hand us our food. The chicken sandwich was great. I'd definitely order that again. The breaded chicken nuggets were alright. They weren't anything special for the price. The chicken strips were breaded nicely and had flavor. The drink wasn't that good. Overall, the food was pretty good. It wasn't worth the price and wait combined. I might come back on a different day in the future when it's conveniently not as packed. read more

Poisoned my mom! My mom has been on a very strict gluten free diet for 5 years. The person at the register at the front ignored her request to make the meal gluten free and gave her a sandwich with a bun that wasn't gluten free anyway. Going gluten free is a serious thing! Top notch service at this location. Even with a jam packed drive thru they get you out pretty quickly. My order is always correct and the food is delicious. This location also hosts a number of special events for kids which is awesome. There was one worker here who had a light up headband that my son was obsessed with and she just gave it to him. I love the food here. I love the chicken dipped in honey mustard sauce. The waffle fries are always hot and fresh. The fruit salad is delicious and healthy. The only thing I disliked was seeing some manager named Jillian being really mean to her employees. Mean and disrespectful. One girl was weeping as she was cleaning the dining area. My heart went out to her. You would think that with the current worker shortage, workers would be treated like gold to retain them. In any event, I never had an interaction with Jillian, so I won't hold that against the establishment. I would just recommend that Jillian be retrained so she can learn how to treat people kindly and with respect/dignity. read more

I have to give this Chick-fil-A five stars because the service is always impeccable. The last time we were there the manager got our teenager to laugh and put him up to the test. He had to eat the whole 30 piece nugget order that we placed for him. If/when he ate them all he would give him a free meal coupon and I'll say we were proud because 28 nuggets got eaten and the manager still gave him a free meal coupon! It really made the teenager feel extra special when we had come there so that the toddlers could play in the play space. read more

I normally like this place. The food is good and the employees are beyond nice and helpful. The one star is because the dining room was closed for far to long. The chicken tenders are to small so I normally get chicken tenders but now they only have spicy at this location. Everyone doesn't like spicy stuff. I guess I'll find someplace else to eat. So I've started the new dieting craze that has hit the region lately. No it's not the lemonade diet or the cookie diet. It's the no chicken on a Sunday diet! Yes I have started to lay off chicken on the last day before heading back to work because Chick-fil-A being the excetional company that they are shares the opinion that Sunday belongs to the family and not the drive thru. Now my son loves this place more for the playground, but he does love their chicken nuggets and fries. Myself, I love the spicy chicken sandwich. They claim to have one of the best chicken sandwiches out there and they are correct. And since the entire region knows this many people flock like chickens over there to grab them not only can they keep up with the demand they always end up serving a great meal with a smile and, "my pleasure." I visited the Merrillville Chick-fil-A on 3/11/21. Their system is amazing. Everyone seems to have a job, and they get it done. We live south of this area and only get to stop in once in a while. I'm never disappointed! I don't usually write in but I felt it necessary due to our service . A young man named Tyler Carter took our order and answered all our questions about items on the menu. He went over and beyond and was so polite. Everyone we spoke with as we drove through was so great. Thank you for your terrific service and especially for the fabulous lunch.
