(Mind you I'm in my car with my wife and waited in line till it was my turn to order) I said ok use the coupon for 1 meal at the 6.99 price and then charge me full price for the other meal. I was told this cannot be done!!! REALLY what training did this person have? (She was pleasant but not well trained) She gave me the choice to cancel my order for the coupon 3417 or just buy a SINGLE order TOTAL. I'm almost sure she could have put the order for 2 exact meals thru at FULL price on 1 credit card charge, but that wasn't even offered. The manager should have told her if a problem occurs she should ask the Manager for solution. REALLY BAD that I could not be billed for both meals on 1 credit card purchase since my wife and I was together. I really thought Poppies would have pushed KFC out of business on Cedar St. The brand new Chic fil Lay store just build on Cedar Street will most likely put your store out of business because there service it some of the best in the business. The service is always very friendly and efficient, but they do run out of stuff like a lot of Popeyes restaurants tend to struggle with. Not as bad as the other location in South Lansing though! Lastly, the food. Never had a reason to complain about it, it's always delicious and fresh tasting! I want them to bring back the beignets!

I have had it delivered before and it was downright inedible and made me feel sick so I don't suggest that! I haven't been inside this restaurant in years and I can only assume that's probably for the best but I can't judge that fairly. What I can judge is the outside which looks to be in rough shape and noticeably outdated compared to the one a few miles down the road. Lastly, as far as service goes, I honestly can't say I've had a bad experience. I've heard about a lot of others having bad experiences but I guess I'm lucky. Overall, I typically avoid this place unless I get a specific craving for something on their menu...but then I have it and remember why I never go.

The staff is always really friendly, patient and efficient, also keeping the restaurant very clean! You would think that when you take TWENTY MINUTES to get someone their order, you'd get it right…read more The team was COMPLETELY ignoring the dining room until people had stood at the counter for about ten minutes. The drive-thru was kept flowing of course, but the team there were apparently getting THEIR orders wrong too because people kept coming in with missing items or items that needed correcting. Even delivery drivers were having to wait. Finally some red-headded manager or somebody comes in supposedly to try to get the kitchen caught up, but things didn't improve much. After about 21 minutes, I got my food- my fries were cold. My mom, who ordered only about a minute after me, still had to wait more than 20 minutes for her food. And when they did finally get it to her, one of her items was wrong. I took it back up to the counter, and when I began to express my displeasure to said manager person over taking twenty minutes to still get an order wrong, he cut me off immediately and rushed back into the kitchen. I am a manager myself. That is NOT how you should EVER handle an upset customer! Overall, I will NOT be going back to this location for a good long time until they get their act together, and honestly, the manager needs to either be let go or retrained, because he made it quite clear that his priority was NOT the guest experience!
