Had CFA on my TDL to compare with other fast food places serving chicken sandwiches for some time. In my humble opinion the atmosphere is quite sterile and not comfortable in the least, others may differ. Just doesn't seem like a relaxing place for a meal. Staff were friendly and very efficient in moving customers through the order area and brought my order to my table. I ordered the deluxe chicken sandwich with waffle fries and a coke. The sandwich was ok but to me on the dry side. The chicken sandwich was ok but not as good as the offerings from Popeyes. Waffle fries were ok but a bit under done for me, not crispy and pale looking. Anyway, not overly enthused by Chick-Fil-A, nice to try but probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit. read more

In spite of the '5' rating, I can't say I'm completely floored by Chick Fil A. I think if they'd come to Canada 10 years earlier, it would've been a bigger experience, but in a way, they're a victim of their own success. By that, I mean that due to their exponential growth in the States by offering a fresh, higher quality fried chicken sandwich, other vendors began to also step up their game. For example, Popeye's almost certainly brought out their improved chicken sandwich a couple years ago to compete with Chick Fil A. And for me, I may even slightly lean to preferring the Popeye's sandwich to Chick Fil A's. With all that said, and in spite of the fact that Chick Fil A might no longer be the equivalent of the fried chicken sandwich unicorn, it's still objectively a very good sandwich. They're huge on quality control, so it's fresh, well proportioned and ultimately very tasty. They of course have have famous variety of sauces which gives them a unique edge too, as well as waffle fries which I love. And their ice tea is a nice bridge between sweat tea and regular brewed ice tea. And their service is head and shoulders best in the industry too. Still a fantastic fast food option to get a fried chicken sandwich, just not necessary something I'd wait in line for either. read more

It's nice to finally have a Chick-fil-A closer to home. The Spicy Deluxe is still very good with nice breading and flavour on the chicken. Chicken strips have a nice flavour and still have good dipping sauce options unique from other fast food places. Service is good as they bring the food to your table to avoid overcrowding in the ordering area. read more

Politics aside, I've been to CFA a coupla other times in the US, so I thought that I'd refresh my memory of what the hype is all about. I believe there was 3 locations in ON: downtown, Yorkdale, & Kitchener. First, there's currently no indoor dining. Maybe staff needed time to figure out how they were gonna check for the Vaccine Passports / didn't want to bother as the weather is still cooperating for outdoor dining. They do have an outdoor patio, but I saw most people eating in their cars. Second, I wasn't a fan of their set-up. They have these clear, plexi room dividers set up to control the "line". Along the way, there are workers with iPads taking orders. You then pay at the cash, receive whatever drink you ordered, and hafta wait again for your order to be ready. All in all, be prepared to wait as it does take some time for your food. From a health and safety pov, the dividers weren't the best choice. As you can see from the pics, people can easily trip over the legs. Prices are on-par with other fast food places - sandwiches were ~$6, salads were $10.50. However, what sets CFA apart from McD's is that they use actual chicken for their strips, sandwiches, etc. Their sauces are also good. And their Sunjoy drink - basically a Sweetened Lemon Iced Tea - uses real tea! I highly recommend that drink if you're here. There's also a heavy emphasis on Customer Service, a la Disney Store when it first opened! This is unusual, but appreciated for a fast food joint. Food tastes cleaner and lighter than other fast food competitors. Menu is limited, so that's great for indecisive people! Obviously, if you're here, you're ordering something chicken. read more

We walked in and were greeted with a line longer than the great wall of china. Having to wait no longer than 10minutes, we came face to face with employees taking orders on tablet that looked like a glorified Nokia. Despite the ancient technology, we almost instantly came to the consensus that this by far has to be the most efficient way to take orders at a BUSY fast food restaurant. However, efficient is not always excellent, we received the wrong order! We ordered the Chick-fil-A chicken burger, the BLT grilled chicken burger, the chicken nuggets and the waffle looking fries but received the spicy and fried version of all those things! They compensated us with our original order AND let us keep the previous order which was awesome! All in all, it was a fairly good experience, the food hit the spot, would come back for sure! read more

Ended up here on a whim just to try it and see what all the fuss is about. We managed just to get in before the rush came. It's a nice environment, very clean. Everyone is super polite and welcoming. Ordered the chicken burger (w cheddar) and was really good. The chicken itself was very juicy. The waffle fries were average at best, nothing different than you'd make at home. They did have really good lemonade. I wouldn't drive out of my way to go there but definitely would if I were in the area. read more

Overall I would say the food is retty good. The Line wasn't too bad because we beat the lunch rush. The sauce is good but overhyped. Our spicy chicken sandwich wasn't really spicy. The tenders has a nice spice to it though. The nuggets and tenders are on the smaller side, but atleast it's real chicken. We paid $57 for 3 sandwiches, 2 nuggets, 3 fries (didn't receive one though) and tenders.I wouldn't drive across town for it, but if I was in the area, I'd order again read more

Had tried chick-fil-a in the states and thought it was ok at the time from what I remembered but decided to give them another shot as they opened a location here in Kitchener. Ordered for takeout (as they don't do dine-in at the moment), the regular chicken sandwich meal with sweet iced tea, waffle fries and chick-fil-a sauce. The sandwich and fries were ok. the food always tastes fine but there are items missing from my delivery order EVERY SINGLE TIME. you get 3 sauced with a large fry and I've never received more than 1 in my delivery order. happened 4 times in a row. will not be delivering from here again. read more
