Milkman, you were so, so, so good to me! I've never been into the restaurant, though I have gotten…read moreDoorDash once before. It was as delicious as I wanted it to be! When my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by such a sweet staff who immediately welcomed us in, shared their thoughts on the menu (since we were first-timers), and suggested we leave a review (they were so lovely, so how could we not!) The entire restaurant feels like the diner Sam worked at in Cinderella Story from the early 2000s - very vintage, very retro, very 50s! It's what I imagine restaurants looking like when my grandparents went on dates when they were my age. I had gotten the tofu nugs via DoorDash, which were better IRL and the milkshake was scrumptious too! My friend got the Milkman Burger, fries, and a fruity pebbles shake. It was all great but let me tell ya...we had this meal almost two weeks ago and I'm STILL dreaming of those French fries. I have had so many iterations of fried potato before...shoestring, steak, wedges, sweet potato, those made from yuca, curly, dipped in ice cream, etc. and these are the best fries I've had in my life. If I could live off the fries, I would. They were that good. I already have plans to share this place with other friends of mine as it has officially worked its way into the rotation for me!

I did have it to go so all I can tell you is the food was pretty good. I don't know how much I can actually recommend it. The best thing it is down town Cinci so it's decent enough to go to for lunch.

First time in Zip's and it was a Saturday and there were no tables to be had when we walked in. It…read morewas after a Reds game and although about 15 minutes away I still saw fans in the seats. We came in from the Reds game ourselves. The service was quick which was a great thing. This is more like a 3.5 star review. Parking as always in the Mt Lookout neighborhood is hard to get. We ended up parking a block away and it was parallel parking on the street. The place was packed full of customers making it pretty hard to hear each other talk. We originally sat at a high-top table but moved to a booth when one opened up. I ordered a Bourbon Lemonade cocktail but would not order it again, it was ok but really not boozy and did not have a lot of flavor. About the food, I ordered the Zip's Burger as it comes and also a dinner salad to go with it. My husband ordered the Double Zip's Burger and fries and my friend ordered the Zip's Burger and Onion Rings. The salad although large was just mostly iceburg lettuce and a few croutons and two slices of tomato, nothing special. I will say their house-made balsamic dressing was good though. I had one of my friend's onion rings and also my husband's fries. The onion rings were not crunchy and I was not a fan. The fries were ok but I would pass on those as well. The standout for all of us was the burger. I would definitely rate their burgers 4.5 stars. Perfect medium cook and juicy and if you like your burgers on the thicker side then you will like these. I am typically a smash burger girl but I gave the thicker burger a go and it was really good. This place is continually mentioned in Cincinnati foodie groups as one of the top spots to get a burger in Cincinnati and I will have to agree. Next time I may try a soup as my side as on this day it was a tomato bisque. This spot is definitely worth trying and we may hit it up again after another Great American Ballpark outing.

Thus is a must go to stop if you have not been and I guarantee, it won't be your last stop. I would go into details inthus review but this time, I'm going to just tell you, you have to come experience it yourself. The place is small so if you have to wait, it's well worth it. Tables turn pretty quickly. Just be patient! You can't rush perfection! Don't think about it, just GO!

The bad: -The jerk fries were very undercooked, good flavor but you can look at them and know they weren't finished cooking. 5/10 The ugly: -Was quoted 15 min, took 40 min to get my carry out order. I would return to try other Mac bowls, seems to be their specialty. I would love to see a seafood option offered for the Mac bowls (lobster etc). I would also like to see maybe some hand cut fresh fries for the loaded fries to justify the high pricing. Happy Hour pricing is great!!!!

There are so many different variety's of mac n cheese, sloppy joes, chicken etc. They also offer Koolaid, which makes me feel like a kid visiting my grandma. The Mac n cheese stole the show. It's just so good. The cheesiness is perfect, the macaroni was cooked perfectly. I am so impressed with the flavors that were bursting in my mouth. The cornbread was absolutely delicious. The texture was amazing. It was so light and buttery tasting. I didn't need to add anything at all to it. It melted in my mouth. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy. I got all sides and the price was very decent and the portions for sides are nicely sized for someone that eats off the kids menu.
