Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit Hash Browns
Marc Aka Max H.

The is review is based ONLY on experience with their BREAKFAST offering. So let's get some of the basics of their operation reviewed. I did not use their drive-in window because the lines for the drive-in are incredibly long. I mean like all the time, anytime of the day. It must be because this location is very close to the Palmetto Park Road north entrance to I-95 (and the east exit of I-95), and people are not inclined to get out of their cars if they are coming or going. Plus, there must also be a lot of vehicle traffic associated with FAU campus and BRRH. Realistically, in South Florida. In the summer. When it's 105 degrees. And you're running late for work. Or leaving work and want to get wherever you are going when you leave work. You don't want to get out of your car. You stay in car and text. Or play on social media. Or fix your make-up. So I got out of the car, parked and went inside. And ordered. And the service was fine. And it was clean. And the order was correctly prepared. So I have no complaints there. My issue is with the taste of the breakfast food. It was tasteless. I had the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. With hash browns. The bacon was tasteless. And fell apart. The egg-looking stuff was tasteless. It was yellow, so I guess it was eggs, but not any good. And the biscuit was mushy and tasteless. Maybe I don't like biscuits but I recall having them before and they were good. And the has browns were tasteless. One positive thing about it was that I did not get sick. So this warrants 2 stars. Now let's get to what one might say is "the elephant in the room." And that has to do with the long-standing and well documented anti-LGBT sentiments of the CEO of the company, and their significant corporate donations to anti-LGBT organizations. (Just Google Chick Filet + LGBT and you'll retrieve the history. Ya see, this reviewer is an aging boomer who prides himself as being gay ("born that way") and there is just something in my gut which doesn't feel right when I think of patronizing this business. Now, on a rational basis I realize that my "protest" will have no effect on the business, but on an emotional basis it allows me to be comfortable that I'm living my life supporting the values which are so critical to me. So, if management's values are incidental to the pleasure of the food offerings, go for it, but stick to their fried chicken sandwiches and waffle fries, which I heard were great.

Front of Store, 1277 Palmetto Park.

Here comes the craziness! The new store is well decorated and plenty of parking. The store entrance is on the north side of the store. There is a parking spot for an electric car, but so far no charging station to go along with the spot. We ate inside and the store is well lit and nicely decorated. The employees couldn't have been nicer to help with refills or clear trash away. We would have liked them to wipe the tables before we sat down, but it was a hectic opening day. The drive-thru is a bit awkward with all the yellow cones throughout the parking lot. I would have thought they would have figured out the path ahead of time. We will probably be back for the location convenience to us, but just another fast food spot.

Good fast food choice! Just opened, but seems like it will be great. Lots of employees at this new location and the line moves quickly. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich meal which came with fries and a drink. Nice crispy chicken and fries and good value for under $10. Also, had the kale salad, which is a good salad option. Nice inside dining area along with a covered patio. Friendly employees and quick service. Happy to have this new option in our area.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich.

Chicken Sandwich & Grilled Chicken Sandwich. OKAY. Found the taste of the Chicken Fillet on the Sandwiches to be GOOD but the Toppings are sparse and don't seem fresh. The Sandwiches are very small in size and not worth their price point. WALK DON'T RUN.

When the sauce is bigger than the chicken...,

$11 for tenders that are smaller than the sauce... c'mon now chic fil a... at least make the sauce smaller too if you're going to succumb to Shrink-flation, do it all the way!

I ordered the Magoo's Favorite Salad with 8 original fried chicken tenders, raspberry vinaigrette, walnuts, greens, and cranberries. The chicken had a nice crisp without being greasy, and the salad itself was fresh, and a nice portion. They also offer a grilled chicken option if you're looking for something lighter. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and comfortable for a casual meal. It's a little easy to miss since it's tucked into the corner of 441/Glades, but once you find it, there's Free parking nearby and it's handicap accessible. Plenty of seating inside. Overall, a tasty and convenient choice for fast food chicken tenders without the grease.

I kept reading about how Huey Magoo's had really amazing chicken and I've been wanting to stop by forever. I should say that I don't usually get chicken tenders that are breaded and fried I go with the grilled, and I usually go to Chick-fil-A to get it. They do a really good job. But I was definitely curious to see what Huey Magoo's was all about. So I stopped by with my kid on Thursday after school. I got three grilled tenders and fries. It was about 10 bucks for everything. I cant begin to tell you what a disappointment the food was. The tenders seemed microwaved and reheated. They were dry af, extremely tough hard to cut through and very chewy. It was completely disgusting. Also, my fries were lukewarm and I didn't really love the seasoning blend they used. After a few bites I knew that I was going to throw the entire thing in the garbage which I did. Luckily my kid was a good sport and we went over to Chick-fil-A to cleanse the palate so to speak. I don't know what the hype is all about, but I definitely do not see it. "Filet Mignon of Chicken"? Don't think so guys.

You don't see places like this very often. Chef/owner Michael Salamo has had a successful career as…read morea serious chef and has now dedicated himself to doing chicken and fixings the right way -- and his small place is seriously impressive. More homey than slick, this spot hits exactly the right notes by combining satisfying food with genuinely good, personal service. The woman behind the counter holds court and seems to know just about everyone who walks in -- always a good sign, and a clear indication that people are happy and keep coming back. I placed my order and grabbed one of the few tables. Most orders are clearly for takeout, and those in the know call ahead to shorten the wait. This is not fast food. I wanted to try both the roast chicken and one of their popular sandwiches. I ordered the Half Chicken Meal, served with roasted garlic, grilled lemon, flatbread, and their signature green sauce, plus two sides -- Mashed Potatoes and Creamed Spinach. The chicken was excellent -- high quality and perfectly cooked. I tend to focus on the pure flavor of the chicken, so I didn't use the accompaniments much, but I did try the green sauce, which was really good -- super fresh and clean-tasting. The sides truly elevated the meal. Fantastic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach that could easily rival what you'd find at a top steakhouse. For me, the sides clinch the deal and really define the specialness of this place -- a pleasure to find quality like this at a local, casual spot. I also ordered the Grilled Charbird Sandwich (grilled chicken breast, crunchy slaw, sliced pickles, chipotle mayo, toasted bun), which comes with one side -- I chose Broccoli. The sandwich is very well conceived, with great flavor combinations built around an excellent chicken breast, and it's a generous size. The broccoli was very good, though I'd still give the edge to the mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Based on this impressive first visit, I'm very much looking forward to returning to try other interesting menu items -- especially the Chinese Spareribs, Chicken Pot Pie, and homemade desserts. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The char grilled chicken is moist and delicious with crispy skin, and accompanied by a whole head of roasted garlic, a grilled lemon, fresh beaked bread, and a parsley dipping sauce. This location has a giant drive through, so it seems like it can handle a lot of drive through orders, although it was not very busy when I came. In terms of dining in, there are more tables outside than inside (the inside dining area is actually kinda small). All of the staff were super friendly and helpful, and my order came out quickly and piping hot. In terms of Raising Canes in general, I feel like Raising Canes is kinda like the In-N-Out of chicken restaurants. The menu is focused on a small set of foods, and those foods are done well. I'd only give it four stars though because I prefer other places' tenders and the food options they offer more, specifically the sauce options (I'm not the biggest fan of the Canes sauce). But the Texas toast and French fries are really good. On a sustainability note, I'd also wish they didn't serve everything in styrofoam containers. I feel like there is a more sustainable and Earth friendly option than styrofoam.
