I like spicy food but nothing too crazy, so this sandwich is always a good choice with their sweet and spicy sriracha sauce it is always a great meal. The service is good, when you order at UAB it takes a longer time to pick up but it's the only chick-fil-a on campus and it's a popular restaurant franchise so that's to be expected. If you order at the Hill Student Center, the ambiance is a little crowded but nothing too crazy. You can just wait somewhere in the hill and get updates from the GrubHub app. read more

The employees are always very friendly at this Birmingham location. I went around lunch time, so it was very busy. But despite it being busy, I got my food very quickly, and it tasted excellent. I ordered the chicken nuggets, a medium fry, and a cookies and cream milkshake. I always ask no cherry on the milkshake, and they have never got my order wrong. The restaurant was very clean, which made the experience so much more enjoyable. I usually go here for lunch once a week, and they never disappoint. There I was one day just enjoying my morning, then a thought popped in my head. "You have a chick fila gift card, you could get a sandwich, drink, and ice cream". I tried to ignore this thought but as you will see I failed miserably. As I couldn't resist the urge I ended up getting a spicy chicken sandwich with some BBQ sauce, sweet tea, and a small cone. All of it was delicious and I liked that the spicy chicken sandwich was actually spicy unlike a lot of "spicy" foods. I would say Chick Fila is the ideal fast food restaurant, if you have to get fast food that is. This particular location is very fast even during peak lunch hours which is quite impressive. It has been a while since I visited this Chick-fil-A and I noticed it has gotten much busier, especially during the lunch rush. Parking is difficult to find but the service is quite fast to make up for it. I ordered a 5-count chicken nugget and a large fry, both of which were piping hot and came with the correct sauces. Despite being so busy, the wait to order was short and the orders were sent out fairly efficiently. I am satisfied with the service I received and pleased with the food I ordered. For my choice of food this week I went ahead and treated myself with Chick-Fil-A. I went with my friend Jamal Musa. I went to order in the restaurant and got two spicy chicken sandwiches no pickles with a slice of Colby jack cheese, and a large coke with no ice for my choice of drink. I was craving Chick-fil-A this past week so I decided to get takeout one night for dinner. It was pretty busy and I chose the Carry-out method which required me to go inside to get my order. My order wasn't ready when I arrived at the restaurant but it was ready within 5 minutes and the service from the employees was really good. My order was correct and the food was great! I wasn't expecting much from this Chick-fil-A on the business district of town. They have a Chick-fil-A so just having one on this side of town people are probably thankful for. It's a decent size, but can get really crowded at the peak of lunch hour. I came in here last week after placing a pick up order I was going to eat at home. I was tired so just decided to eat it there. They unfortunately do not carry any hand sanitizer or sanitizing wipes anywhere in the restaurant. I have been a germaphobe since before the coronavirus so I don't think this is acceptable. I love those little hand sanitizing wipes most Chick-fil-A's carry! I had to bring my food and drink into the bathroom with me in order to clean my hands before eating. Thank goodness I ordered it as a pickup order and it was in a bag already. If I was dining with someone, we could take turns to wash our hands, but for many people that's not always the case. The food was good as usual, thank goodness. If I return to this location, I know to bring my own hand sanitizer or wash my hands before I even place my order. Although I wish I didn't have to learn this the hard way. read more

The staff at this location are very nice, however, they always get something wrong from my order. Since I work within walking distance I order almost every other week. Today I was highly disappointed because I got excited about the new additions to their menu. (if you've been before you know that they only have the core menu items at chick fil a and don't usually have seasonal items) but they added the Chicken Tortilla Soup AND the Southwest Salad. MY FAVORITES! Both of them come with tortilla strips but I didn't have a single packet in my bag. I also requested to not have the Chili Lime Peppers because I knew I wouldn't eat them and it would be a waste. instead, they gave me two packets. You feel so rushed at lunchtime that you check your bag quickly. In this case, I saw that I had the right soup (unlike the man before me) and the right salad dressing. But so much more that makes the meal was missing. A meal that costs over $10, might I add. If this was the first time a mistake had happened at this location I wouldn't feel the need to write a review, since I have worked in retail and foodservice and understand people are hum and make mistakes. But it's not the first time and they need to make sure their employees are focusing on the meals and not on a conversation with one another. read more

This Chick-fil-a location is tucked into downtown on 5th Avenue North across from the Harbert Plaza. The restaurant offers the familiar CFA menu selections in a slightly cramped environment. It's very busy over the lunch hour the three or four times I've been by, and although seating takes up a significant amount of floorspace in the establishment, an open table can be hard to find. I eat breakfast at this location several times a week and the staff has gone above and beyond to remember my name and my order. Not only is this location exceptionally clean, but it is extremely efficient as well. I am in and out of the door within minutes! I am so lucky I work right across the street from my favorite breakfast spot in Birmingham!
