This place is like my second home. Gigi is the GOAT. She definitely deserves a raise for letting us get breakfast at 10:31. GOAT!

I'm guessing it is good (better) for takeout but we arrived just after 1:30 on a Thursday and had no problem getting a table. It is light, bright, and cheery inside. The two young women working behind the counter were very pleasant and patiently explained the options to us and all the customers who came in after us. There are about a half dozen "suggested" bowls but you can create your own or make changes to the ones in the menu. I ordered the Berbere Spiced Sweet Potato with almost all the colors of the rainbow represented - spiced sweet potatoes, radishes, carrots, Brussel sprouts, broccoli, dried cranberries, and green apples (I think I remembered everything). There is an option for an upcharge to add a protein but the vegetarian option was uncooked tofu and I only eat tofu that is well-seasoned and cooked so I passed. Hubby had the Lemon Herb Rotisserie bowl which he liked. Both were very filling and we couldn't finish them. Drinks range from Diet Coke to cold pressed juices. Great option for downtown Green Bay. Four stars because the (one) vegetarian protein option was not to my liking.

When I tell you the Basque Country Salad is the best salad I believe I'll ever eat in my lifetime, I'm not exaggerating. Their white whine vinaigrette could be bottled and sold for millions. If you like chicken, prosciutto, walnuts, figs and goat cheese, this salad will make you shed tears of joy. Everyone is SO NICE there! Even when we cater in a smattering of sandwiches, pasta salads and dessert bars everyone raves about how fresh and delicious everything is. Top notch quality across the board.

I got the special of the day which was cranberry egg salad sandwich, and cranberry bread. It was so tasty. I had a choice of sides with it. Potato chips, apple or veggies and dip. I chose veggies and dip because that is not offered very often. The veggies were wonderful and the dip was even more wonderful. When I'm up in Green Bay again I definitely will stop by.

Super friendly staff. I ended up ordering the tacheen, my only other experience eating this was when a friend cooked it for me so I was interested to try it in a restaurant. A Hidden Gem in Wisconsin!…read more It's rare to find Persian food in Wisconsin, and Sofreh absolutely delivers. I ordered the chicken kabob plate, chickpea salad, and beef koobideh and I'm still dreaming about it. The joojeh kabob was the star: unbelievably tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. I honestly haven't had chicken that fresh and succulent in a long time. Every bite felt like comfort and celebration all at once. The chickpea salad was light, bright, and refreshing; a perfect complement to the grilled meats. And the beef koobideh? Perfectly spiced, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth good. My heart was so happy and my tummy so full -- exactly what you want from a great meal. Whether you're familiar with Persian cuisine or brand new to it, Sofreh is worth the visit. Warm flavors, generous portions, and a rare find in this part of the country. Service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back!
