Chick-fil-A here is convenient but it's pricy and the quality is just OK. I got the grilled chicken meal and it ended up being more than $13 post tax (like dang that's more expensive than Chipotle). The grilled chicken sandwich was warm but the chicken was pretty uneven in terms of size. Lots of tomato juice dripping everywhere. Overall, sandwich was fine. The fries were a bit soggy but nicely salted. Again, it's great if you're craving Chick-fil-A in the Ballston area because it's so close and inside Ballston Quarter. We did a quick pick up for hash browns for my 2 year old grandson after going to the Kennedy Center box office to pick up tickets. It was a bout 10:30 am and it wasn't busy. We were able to order immediately and our name was called as soon as we were about to sit down. My grandson needed a break from the car and he really enjoyed them. They were crispy and hot. What more is there to say....about a Chick-fil-A!? You would have to be living underneath a rock!...No, forget that....the Grand Canyons if you don't know about it.... at least on the east coast. The food is always made fresh, prepared with quality-real ingredients and the customer service is always far above par. This location falls right in-line with all the above. It just reopened in Ballston Quarters, formerly Ballston Common Mall. It used to be a part of the food court but now occupies its own space as a standalone restaurant. The menu is full of all the items you tend to be familiar with, when it comes to Chick-fil-A. Everything I ordered today was on point and delicious! I ordered my "go-to".....the #1 Meal: Chick-fil-A Deluxe w/ Waffle Fries and the Fresh Squeezed Lemonade. As if this was not enough food already, I order 8 nuggets and a Strawberry milkshake to satisfy the inner greedy voice inside of me begging for more. My order was great....prepared fast and the food...served hot, with no long wait times. And, most of all, the chicken sandwiches kick A@%! The service was fairly fast too...especially to just be opening and in full swing for the first day of business. The employees were very polite and eager to assist you. Per usual, it was crowded as everyone in the Ballston area has been anticipating the reopening of this CFA. But surprisingly they kept the lines moving fast and the quality of the food on par. My only gripe with this location is the seating area and space of the restaurant. It is very cramped, small and the seating is limited to a few 2-4 seater tables on the inside. I can see this making the dining experience undesirable and uncomfortable during peak hours or busy lunch timeframes. There are a few tables located outside the restaurant's entrance. Other than this, I am so glad to see this location finally opened. I am sure I will be a frequent visitor. When it comes to finding great fast food....somewhat on the healthy tip....if you don't always include a lemonade, brownie & milkshake like I do...this is it! Since I was taking the metro anyway and wanted to save on gas needed to drive to one, I decided to visit this Chik-fil-A location. It's located inside the enclosed part of Ballston Quarter on the first floor. It looks like the Yelp pictures from 2 years ago, so dine-in is an option. I decided to do mobile order. I came around 6pm although it wasn't too busy. The lady standing at the entrance was helpful and attentive. I quickly got my sandwich, but the ice cream took a little bit longer. Food is always good but in the past couple months the service has gotten so slow. We always order ahead of time and then walk over but I find myself waiting for at least 10-15 minutes. I've been here many times for lunch and more than 3 times they mess up something from my order. Yesterday I got a salad and when I got back to my destination I see they forgot the dressing to the salad so I couldn't eat it and saved it and went back today to just get the dressing. Mobile order here is so slow. I had a mobile order and there were people that walked in and ordered after me that received their food faster. At that point there is no point in placing a mobile order ahead of time. This is the third time I placed an order through the app and clicked the "I'm Here" button in advance of even arriving to the restaurant and still had to wait as people walk in, place their orders, and leave the restaurant quicker than myself. But somehow the second order I placed wasn't actually submitted to the cooks nor prepared (even though I had been charged). Unfortunately, when I asked about the status of the order they were closing and unable to provide the fries I ordered. I received a refund for the fries. We later found out the condiments also weren't included from the first order, even though they were listed on the order sheet. It's crazy I even have to give a chickfila a poor review. This location isn't the best... it's harder to get to... two everytime I go in there they seem slow to give the orders out. I went in today and the lady calling orders you could barely hear her, the woman packing the orders was over run with orders... Having grown up in Atlanta, I've been going to Chick-fil-a since I was very little kid, and I've never experienced the incompetence or rudeness of this location in my life. In 3 visits: 1) First visit, we were given a styrofoam cup with a 1-2" gash in it and half of the rim missing so that it wouldn't even be possible to put a lid on it. When we asked for a new one, the server acted as if we had massively inconvenienced him. 2) Second time was a mobile order. We waited over 20 minutes for it because they had not seen the order and the continued to forget to fill it after we asked for it. At least they were nice about it. 3) Third time, we ordered 4 things, and they got every single one of them wrong. 4 out of 4. When we complained, the young manager was extremely rude and dismissive to us. Bottom line, these guys need to get it together, or the corporate office needs to clean house and start over. read more

This is the third and final time I will ever go to this Chick-fil-A location. The first time I went here, my fries were completely stale and I had to throw them out. Thinking this was some unusual fluke, given how Chick-fil-A is known for its fries, I went back for a second time. This second time, there was a hair placed right in the center of my sandwich (photo attached). It strongly resembles a pubic hair. After I reached out to corporate Chick-fil-A, they told me to formally complain, and the owner of the local Chick-fil-A eventually reached out to me... about a week later. Today, on 6/6/24, I was at the Ballston Quarter Mall location (04085) and was surprised by the cashier's demeanor. She seemed very angry. When she took my order, I told her what I wanted, but she made a mistake and added an extra item. When I pointed out the error, she almost raced the voice, insisting, "No, you said you wanted two sandwiches." However, she calmed down when another cashier, Gail, arrived. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name, but I saw "Sebastian" on the receipt, but I do not think she was using her code. She started saying, "I don't know how we're going to work; they're closed," to her colleague. I was only there for 2 minutes, but it felt like a drama. Why I supposed to hear this. If she's having a bad day, she shouldn't be working with clients. She messed up my order, was confrontational, argued with her colleague, and misspelled my name. I've been visiting this location for the past few months at Saturday nights. I order ahead on the fantastic CFA app and the team is always on point checking in as customers walk up to the pick up area. They are friendly and courteous as you expect employees to be at a CFA. Last week the young lady that was helping with the pick up orders was especially good, addressing customers by name, even after giving them their order and them coming back to pick up more sauce or napkins. Impressive. They have a few tables out front and they do a good job keeping them clean. Dining room appeared to be open as well. read more

We ordered the chicken nuggets and a spicy chicken sandwich. Everything tasted delicious! The bread on the chicken sandwich was a little bit soggy but it could have just been because we waited until we got home to eat it. I would recommend eating hot right away. Chick-fil-A sauce is incredible. For this location I would recommend ordering online. We waited a really long time for our food (15 minutes). They gave us a coupon for a free breakfast sandwich but I honestly would've been happier if when we ordered they gave us a heads up like "if you order that you're going to experience a delay." I think they definitely have room for improvement in training for this location. Also, they should try to keep it more clean, I didn't want to eat there because it wasn't clean. read more

So my family and I have eaten here a few times since it reopened. The old location was always solid, but the new one seemed off. The layout is poor and cannot handle crowds.
