Only after he confirmed with his fellow employees what I wanted would he accept my order. Jerk. What I picked: jumbo tender and barbecue plate (wish I'd taken a photo of the menu board). The order was slow to arrive, though I found out that's because the tenders were being freshly made. And the plate contained an impressive amount of food when it arrived. The barbecue wasn't bad, the chicken was indeed hot, and the slaw and potato salads were nice additions. I didn't care much for the hush puppies as they didn't seem very flavorful and were too dry. One of the other staff members was kind enough to fill my drink cup several times as I worked my way through the plate. That evening, and during the following morning, my stomach did not handle the meal well at all. I hadn't noticed any off-putting flavors in the food, but clearly something did not sit well with my digestive tract. So between the early issues with the service and the frequent bathroom visits I made in the hours following my trip to Smithfield's, I'm afraid I've gotta suggest that you look elsewhere if you are in search of a good experience in the Aberdeen/Southern Pines area. If you decide to take a chance here, I hope your fortunes are better than mine were!

The guy points to the counter in front of him and says, the menu is right here. I mean, I could see the menu on the wall just fine. I ordered the 10 piece wing combo with fries, a sweet tea, 1/2 Garlic Parmesan and the other 1/2 Sweet Red Chili and the girl says "That's a good one!"-referring to the Sweet Red Chili sauce. The guy points to the sides and says, "Pick 2". I said, "Two? It comes with 2 sides?" He confirms. So I said, "Ok add the Mac n Cheese" and he asks if I want any additional sauces. I said just Ranch and some Ray Ray Sauce for the fries. He rings me up and repeats back, "10 Nugget Combo". I corrected him with "10 Wing Combo" and he re-rings the order, I pay and go have a seat. The girl goes into the kitchen, comes back out and says they are all out of the Sweet Red Chili sauce so I ordered the Stingin Honey Garlic. When the girl brings me the order, it's the 10 Wing Combo with Mac n Cheese and no Fries. I asked about the Fries and we looked at my order which said 10 Wing Combo-Mac n Cheese. I told her that the guy at the counter told me to pick 2 sides but no big deal since I got what I paid for (or so I thought-people count your wings!) and it was just miscommunication. Once I sat down to eat, there was no other interaction with the staff. I did notice the floor had dried up sauce in various places and the floor could use a good cleaning. About the food. The Mac n Cheese was served hot and it's basically noodles with velveeta cheese sauce which is fine for this type of establishment but I remember the other time I had visited, the Mac n Cheese was served in a cup and it had actual cheese melted on the top. The Garlic Parmesan Wings were amazing. Just how I remembered them from last time. The wings weren't served as hot as they should've been (IMO), but seemed like they had been precooked earlier in preparation for the Rush. The Garlic Parm wings had a generous amount of sauce on them. The Stingin Honey Garlic wings did not have enough sauce on them. Some parts of the chicken didn't have any sauce on them at all. The tea was good. And now that I'm uploading pictures, I see they only gave me 8 wings. 5 of the Garlic Parm and 3 of the Stingin Honey Garlic. I paid for 10, the receipt is shown in the picture. Just took another star off. Really wanted to give them at least 3 stars.

Of course, there weren't any made at the time and after calling two other locations, I thought all was lost. Theresa stepped in and said she would make me one and I could even pick it up after 4 that day as we would be out of town the next. I got there just after 4 and she had a beautiful cake waiting for me. Saved my hide and did so with professionalism and kindness. The easiest way to describe it is Chipotle, but with Korean-inspired bowls. You move down the line choosing a base, hot toppings, cold toppings, protein, and sauce. There are plenty of options, including purple rice, sweet potato noodles, kimchi, Korean BBQ beef, spicy chicken, salmon, and several different sauces. Instead of building my own, I ordered one of the chef-curated bowls, the BIBIBOP Fan Favorite. It came with chicken, purple rice, sweet potato noodles, roasted sesame broccoli, potatoes, carrots, corn, cheese, and yum yum sauce. The bowl was okay. It definitely felt more like Americanized Korean food than anything traditional, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. For around $12, the portion and price were reasonable. The first employee told me they had run out of broccoli, but more was coming out shortly. Somewhere between the first and second person assembling the bowl, the broccoli never made it in. I did not notice until I had already started eating. Not a huge issue, but it was one of the listed ingredients and one of the better-sounding parts of the bowl. I also did not realize the Fan Favorite came with yum yum sauce. It was fine, but I think I would have enjoyed the bowl more with gochujang for a little more flavor and heat. That is on me for not reading the description closely enough. The drink selection was probably the highlight. They had several flavored lemonades and teas in addition to regular fountain drinks. I tried the passionfruit lemonade and loved it. Refills are included, which made the drink feel worth adding. Overall, I would eat here again, especially if I was already in the area and wanted something quick that felt a little different from the usual fast-casual options. Would I crave it or make a special trip for it? Probably not. Next time, I would build my own bowl, make sure the broccoli actually makes it in, and choose gochujang instead.
