Little bakery/deli right on the main street in Washington. We got there a little late but I did expect that there would be a little more to pick from. Tiny and cute, welcoming. The chocolate chip cookies stole the show. Loads of chocolate chips inside, an all around yummy cookie! Also got the lemon crunch muffin and it was overdone and dry the hubby got cinnamon coffee cake which he has not yet tried. They would get 4 for the cookies but because I was disappointed with the muffin it dropped my rating. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back but I would certainly stop again for the cookies. read more

I love Chicco Baccello. Its a cute little cafe with a lot of seating, including comfy couches. Its a peaceful place to meet with friends or even just relax by yourself. They also have free wifi. The coffee is always fresh and tastes great. I've tried quite a few of their specialty coffees as well as their plain hot coffees. The prices are about average for a coffee shop. Its still cheaper than Starbucks and tastes 10x better. The gelato is delicious as well. A bit pricey, but its very good. They also have really good biscotti. Its a little softer than most biscotti, but I like it that way. It goes very well with a cup of hot coffee. I've never tried anything from the deli, but I know they they offer sandwiches and things like that. They look good, so I'll have to try one someday. read more

Very kind service, and a really good latte. Extremely smooth flavor with no hint of bitter or sour. The coffee crushed anything Starbucks can make, as well as every other coffee shop I've been to outside Europe. Definitely worth the 10 minute detour it took. read more

Tried this on a whim while in Pittsburgh because I needed coffee. Ended up getting a Turkey sandwich and wasn't disappointed. A medium coffee and Turkey sandwich[no sides] was about 12ish so not the cheapest place but good for small town Pittsburg. read more

Very cute place for WashPa. I was in need of a birthday cake last minute and searched for a bakery. This place came up with great reviews so I stopped in. I would hardly call this place a bakery. It's more like a cafe. They said they require 24 hours notice on all cakes. Regarding what I was looking for, they had no cakes, cupcakes, or donuts. Just a few cookies and one lonely slice of coconut pie. I settled on a dozen cannoli's which they put in a styrofoam takeout container, similar to what you would see at like a Denny's. I thought the presentation would be a little nicer. I had to write my Happy Birthday message with a sharpie on the top. It took about 15-20 mins for them to prepare my cannoli's even though they had been sitting on the shelf. I didn't understand what was taking them so long but the girl preparing them actually hand-filled each of them individually with creme. That was a nice touch! Overall, I would not come back here for a cake or other bakery needs. I would definitely stop in however if I was in the area and wanted to sit down and relax with a cup of coffee. There aren't many nice places like this in WashPa. They put great effort into the decor. They did a nice job on it. read more

they have amazing breakfast sandwiches (i recommend the cheddar, bacon,egg, and croissant sandwich)and coffee ( i got the hazelnut latte). the inside is really nice they have spaced out seating which is good for covid.you do have to wear your mask inside the restaurant but you're able to take it off when you get your food and sit down at your table read more

Today's lunch experience led us to downtown Washington Pennsylvania. This small gem of a bakery/deli was a a great place for lunch. The hero of the day was their meatball sub! Delicious. They also have great dessert. The meatball sub is a good size not too big or small. The ordering process was quick and easy. I would I loved some pictures and more side options. They have always been my favorite place in Washington. A week ago I saw employees without masks and didn't think too much of it. Today not a single employee was wearing masks or gloves. They were about to cut lunch meat without anything. They don't require masks inside of customers and have outside seating that is very cramped. I don't feel comfortable going back until they follow regulations. read more

Sooo glad Washington finally has a good coffee shop! I've tried several of their baked goods. Amazing!! The coffee is from la prima in Pittsburgh so it is top notch. Customer service is excellent. My kids and I love this place. The croissant breakfast sandwiches are OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD! Have it warmed on the panini grill, you will not regret it! My son's favorites are the munkins and we get so excited when we see they were just taken out of the oven! They are little monkey breads in a cupcake size. I love the iced tea they serve in the summer...very refreshing tropical mix and no sugar needed. The only thing I would change is bigger iced coffee/tea cups :) I'm kind of a java junkie. This place has seriously nice owners and employees. They will generally greet you with a friendly smile and strike up a conversation if they aren't too busy. The coffee is well priced and delicious and pairs with the baked goods ever so nicely. I've been here twice now, and have only tried the cookies, but they're fantastic. Half dozen for $5, so to me a little pricey, but worth getting on occasion. I've tried maybe 8 varieties, and I'd say four of those I'd rate excellent (chocolate chip, almond, toffee chip, and an iced sugar cookie that I can't think of the name of). It's nice to have a real coffee shop here in Washington. I got an iced coffee and it was well done: nice flavors, not at all watered down. I also appreciated the free WiFi. But, I think the layout and process for ordering food is confusing. The couple in front of me wanted to order something from the deli but were confused about having to go to the other room to order and then come back to the coffee shop side and pay at the register. I think they would be well served to combine the process. Also, the amazing looking desserts are in a case after the register, which I think is a lost opportunity for the store. read more
