It was worth every credit and I honestly would come back and pay the regular price! Upon arriving to the spa, the receptionist greeted me and gave me a tablet to check in and fill out my preferences for the massage, including choosing the style of music, scent of body butter, conversation level, and pressure. I loved they had a little display where you can smell the many body butter options before choosing one, and the friendly receptionist gave me her recommendations for a lighter scent. On the tablet you also answer questions about your health related to the massage (sensitive areas or injuries for example) so the masseuse is aware. After I was done they gave me a tour of the women's locker room which was immaculately clean. They had 2 changing rooms, a shower, private bathroom, a sink with lots of amenities, clean towels, slippers, and lockers. They gave me a locker which had my robe to change into. The robe was sooooo soft and fluffy. It had a nice weight to it, like I was wearing a blanket but with pockets! They encouraged I take my time and when I was changed and ready, I could walk into the lounge waiting area where my masseuse would meet me. The lounge had soft lighting, a nice variety of snacks and sweets and tea, comfy seating, a journal with little encouraging messages from past patrons, books and coloring, and a heated container with neck pillows that you can use! My masseuse arrived promptly so I enjoyed these amenities after my massage. The masseuse Eric was so lovely! They showed me to a massage room, oriented me to where to put my robe and glasses, and let me know the table was heated and they could adjust it to my preference. They also asked about my massage preferences and areas of focus. Once I was settled in, Eric came back and I had the most relaxing swedish massage! Perfect pressure and balanced on both sides. I was floating after! They brought me tea after and then I spent some time in the lounge. Overall incredible experience. All the staff were lovely, and the experience from entering the spa to leaving was so relaxing. I also loved the have a huge free parking lot! Its a shared parking lot in a plaza, so you can park right in front. It was a bit tricky to get into the lot from the main street if you have to turn left into it (you'll see a large sign for SPF which is a pickle ball spot that shares the lot). I ended up turning left into a small street and finding my way into the lot from there. Definitely check it out for your next spa day!

I worked at an ad agency. The media dorector was the the sister of the owner of the Salon Lana was working at on Halsted in 1992. That's how we found service providers before technology, kids! So I show up and the owner took one look at my messy mop of thick, frizzy, curls and said, "you belong with Lana...she'll tame that". The rest is history. I've recommended numerous people including my mother. Lana did my entire bridal party. I moved to Atlanta for two years from 1996-1998. I got one cut there that was disastrous. After that I booked my visits home around my haircut appointments. Lana has never failed me...cuts, color, growing out, drastic changes. I can always count on her to give me good, honest advice and impeccable customer service. Her prices are fair and the quality is professional. I always get compliments on my styles. Plus, the maintenance is easily replicated at home. I don't leave her salon with a style that's too difficult to keep up on my own. I hope she never retires because I'll be lost!

I even showed some photos just to give her the idea of what I really wanted. Unfortunately, the back hair was so heavy and not layered literally a blunt straight cut. Some strands were uneven on the temple area. And I do not have any curtain bangs as desired. My hair is thick and needs texturing and thinning shears to give it that nice flow. I was expecting something softer and more textured. I just wanted to share this feedback to tutor stylist on some popular haircuts. But maybe two weeks later, I did have go back for corrections. I got one joker brow and a fold on one part of my forehead again. I was advised that my face and brows are uneven - which I know they are, haha. But, I think that it might be more about how they do injections because I've had excellent results with a doctor's office in DC (where the nurse made smaller injections and more distributed along my forehead as opposed to injecting more Botox in a few spots. Or perhaps they don't have as much experience with East Asian faces. The team are super nice there, and if there are any undesirable results, they invite you back to make the corrections.
