One of the oddest layovers I've had in my life. I intentionally pit stopped in Chicago to get pizza but all the deep dish spots at the terminals didn't have any. So I went for another Chicago staple...the Chicago style dog. Now, I was hungry...I purposely skipped the mid flight snack and landing meal to eat at the airport but this meal was huge for me. Two dogs and French fries combo with a beer was enough to put me in an immediate food coma. The hot dogs were great, especially with all the green on top! The pickle, neon relish and peppers are a brilliant touch every time. But what I love most is that they have plenty of seating and it's a relaxed setting with a friendly staff. I love this hotdog. Perfect salt crunch and garnish. Killer cure for a hungover when you are flying cross country with a pit stop in ORD. Does this business actually exist? I went to the spot Yelp says it is and Nuts on Clark now occupies the space. Then I saw an arrow on the wall pointing toward the terminal exit and went there and checked into a place that was actually a kiosk serving dogs and personal pan pizzas pre-made. DEAR LORD I'm not sure how to rate this!! Great food. I loved the Chicago Style Hot Dog I got right before my flight. Price: the price is right! What an utter disappointment. I couldn't even enjoy my food because the customer service was horrible. Absolutely terrible. The older lady working the register needs to be terminated or replaced. First of all this is pure ratings on the generosity of the restaurant. I tried to use my debit, there was an issue with that. Then I tried to use a Visa gift card, they don't take Visa gift cards, well okay... I guess I am not going to eat. As someone else mentioned, it is just a small innocuous stand near Gate C8. After much hesitation and reading other reviews, I decided to take the plunge and try the Chicago style hot dog. Not a bad option when the lines of the 'real' restaurants in Terminal 1 are noticeably packed. The dog itself was jumbo in size, and the oddly artificially emerald green colored pickled relish was tasty with the fresh veggies and celery salt.
