I contacted Nombach on 7/16/24 re: an estimate for home + garage tuckpointing. Nice lady took my…read moreinfo and scheduled an appt with me. She informed me the rep would be Marcus who called me later to confirm appt however there was a time discrepancy...rep stated 9a and he said all he had was 3p. I took the 3 tho I wanted an earlier appt. Before the date I received an email confirming the 9a time. I informed Marcus and he said it was a system glitch. Hmmm ok. He arrived on time for my appt which was 7/24/24. He took his time measuring, answering concerns, using contractor language I didn't know about. I had a couple of issues with the work protocol. A prior contractor informed me he would be replacing entire sections for the same price vs Nomach wanted to work around them for the same price. He went to his truck and wrote out proposals which took about 1 hour. I know my house needs a good tuckpointing job but on one side it's just a few areas, the other side needs a little more attention and the garage needs sum tlc all around the bottom 1/2 but $24,609.24 is outrageous to me. The prior contractor wanted the same. I understand they may be qualified to do the job but that is a good chunk of my income to pay for a job. I get why my neighbors and others do it the cheaper route. People have $25k just laying around? We talked about other jobs too like replacing my door frame in my garage, said he had to consult with someone else; adding gutters to my garage, replacing wood - $5,222.11.....should have used the other guy 2 years ago who said he would do the same for $2100; replacing 5 concrete stairs and not the landing - $9,717....another guy said $10k 2 remove everything and rebuild. I'm sure Nombach does good work but u gotta have money to deal with them. Not for the middle class folk like me.

Very displeased with work and services. I'm not here to bash them, you judge for yourself. (Instead…read moreof replacing cracked area it was caulked) I will say I would never refer them to anyone. So much for excellent work here. Owner.... never heard from him. Having a drone came in handy.

I wrote a review of this company late in 2025 because of not great service. I'd hoped after several…read moreback and forth communication with TARP that service would improve. I was wrong. If it were possible to give a negative star, I would have done so. In their contract they stipulated that snow removal would be done within 12-24 hours. That NEVER happened. At best they got to it 3 days after it stopped snowing. They stipulated that they would put salt down as part of the original invoice. They did not do so after the first snow removal, which created problems moving forward given the brutally cold weather. Not only that, but I had to spend time going back and forth with them reminding them and sharing evidence that they told us they would do this at no additional expense when they said we would have to pay more for salt. I extended them the benefit of the doubt and each time they failed to live up to their contractual agreement. I finally terminated the contract and requested a refund for the days left in the contract. I've heard crickets from them. To say I am annoyed with this company is an understatement. I am also annoyed with YELP. I trusted that they vet contractors. I trusted that their Yelp guarantee meant something. It doesn't. When TARP ignored my request for a partial refund I filed a Yelp guarantee claim. They responded that I should contact the deadbeat contractor because their claims had to be filed within 30 days of payment. First one would think that such crucial information would be front and center of any description of the guarantee. It was not. Second, for snow removal contracts where the norm is to require upfront payment that rule is problematic. I had negotiated a 2 part payment with TARP because I didn't know them. My last payment was 2 weeks over YELP's 30 day timeframe. I asked Yelp for a grace period and explained that I had cervical spine surgery in January and have been out of commission until now. We will see how they respond. I am hoping that I will not end up having to put Yelp in the same category as TARP; a business that I will never do business with again.

The other companies charged a lot of money for spot fixes in very small areas of the roof that ultimately didn't solve our issues, or they quoted us a huge sum of money to replace our entire roof. This past week, we had extremely heavy rains and saw water dripping from a can light in an area that a previous company was supposed to have fixed. I put out a request on Yelp and skyline was among the first to respond. Frank called and offered to come immediately to take a look, even though it was quite late. They identified the area that needed remediation and quoted a fair price to fix it, plus the rest of the trouble spots on my roof. I knew we had more rain coming in a few days, so the job had to be completed quickly. The next morning, Frank's crew showed up and quickly made progress, but they also noticed something that no other roofing company had - they opened up the roof to find structural issues where 2 skylights had not been installed properly, and rafters were cracked. This explained why previous spot fixes hadn't resolved the issue. Again, Frank quoted a fair price to resolve this structural issue. They proceeded and did the work quickly, in time to finish before the next waves of rain came, including even cutting back a branch that was risking damaging a section of the roof. They provided before / during / after photos. The roof looks excellent, solving the one major issue, as well as doing maintenance work on many other areas of the roof that now look brand new. Throughout my experience, the one thing that stood out more than anything was Frank's responsiveness and communication. He was incredibly fast and responsive, took the time to answer all of my questions and helped me think through my repair options, and was available and responsive constantly throughout the job and at all hours of the day and night. I can't thank Frank and skyline roofing enough for their help. They'll be the first company I call the next time we need help with our roof and gutters!
