Negatives of the first charter: 1. Toilet did not work from the get go, and the crew couldn't fix it while in flight. We took for granted that the WC would be checked prior to departure. We are talking BASIC stuff. You don't even think to ask. Well, we flew for 5 hrs without a functioning toilet. 4 passengers and 3 crew members. 2. The AC did not work either. It was either off or too strong to handle, which means we had very poor air circulation. VERY troublesome issue during COVID times. 3. The seatbelts didn't work. We all got stuck in them, which was a major safety issue. God forbid an emergency, none of us could have easily broken free from them. 4. The map travel screens did not function and we were not able to follow the route. 5. There was no soap or paper towels in the bathroom. We could have asked but really didn't want to get into it at that point. 6. Only 40 min prior to landing we were informed that we had to be re-routed due to bad weather and had another 1.5 hrs to go. I was dealing with Arturo Gomez, CEO of Triumph Jets, who was very apologetic and assured me it would not happen again. He would withhold his commission if I booked another flight with him. I made the very unfortunate decision to give him another chance. I chartered the plane to leave for NYC at 1 pm on 8/14/2022. I had been very clear that I did not want to leave at 3:30 pm, as he had initially suggested, as that would get me into the city as 9:50 pm. In my email I categorically told him that it was "much too late". I was traveling with my 80 y.o Mother. Also, we all needed to get home early to feed/medicate our pets. I received a confirmation travel itinerary sheet stating we would be leaving at 1 pm and landing in NYC at 6:34 pm All seemed well until the day of.... 1) On 8/14/2022 at 11:16 am, at ONE HOUR before leaving the resort, I received an email from Arturo Gomez, CEO of Triumph Jets, stating the jet was late and we would be leaving at 3:30 pm instead of the booked 1 pm. 2) At 12:15 pm he was still trying to get answers from Talon the operator. At 12:15 pm the cars were already outside waiting to take us (5 passengers) to the airport: two of which were already settled inside one of vehicles. 3) In his emails Gomez admitted that he had been "randomly checking the flight status", which is just MIND BOGGLING. What he should have done: 1) Checked in with Talon the same morning Sunday 8/14/22 to make sure the plane had departed in time to pick us up and would be on time in Anguilla. 2) MOST IMPORTANTLY confirm on SATURDAY with Talon that everything was good to go/they were on the same page. If Gomez hadn't "randomly" checked the flight at the very last minute we would have gone to the airport and been stuck there for 3 hrs, which is what happens when you fly commercial not private!!! 3) At a MINIMUM He should have also contacted me the day prior to departure to let ME know everything was ok and taken of. It gets WORSE if possible: 1) We had to land in Puerto Rico for refueling. Gomez didn't bother to tell us that you are NOT allowed to bring unsealed food into PR. Not even if you're only in transit. I had the resort chef make a full lunch for 5 people to take on the plane. The food was immediately thrown away by PR customs as soon as they saw it. We didn't have any catering just sealed junk food snacks like potato chips etc. Nobody had real food from 3:30 pm to 11 pm. Gomez told us NOTHING! He had no consideration for the fact that there was an elderly 80 y.o passenger on the plane who needed to eat. It also didn't even cross his mind that one of us might have needed to take medications that required eating prior to. BOTTOM LINE: -Gross negligence. It seems Gomez decided to take the weekend off instead of doing his job and was doing us a favor by "randomly" checking the flight status! Also, Gomez never once bothered to check in with me during the entire flight back. He went MIA. -Ultimately, we landed in NYC at 9:50 pm. Thanks to the change of schedule we hit Sunday night traffic from the beach and didn't get home until 11 pm. -Gomez sent an email admitting his wrongdoing: "At the end of the day, the entire trip is a reflection of us so we apologize for not catching this sooner." but didn't offer any type of compensation. -We spent $$$$ to be treated with less consideration than if we had flown commercial. I could have booked a flight with Jet Blue for $417 and gotten home at 7:15 pm!!! If you want to feel like you're hitching a ride at somebody's else's convenience while paying $$$$ to fly private Triumph Jet is your company otherwise AVOID TRIUMPH JETS AT ALL COSTS!!!!

She answered all of our questions and stayed late to make sure we got our booking finalized. One thing is that their hours are standard business hours. So, it is hard to get in touch after 530p. I normally dont use a travel agent, but with travelers from different cities and trying to book an all-inclusive, it was a great benefit. I called around to other travel agencies and they had the best pricing. They also have a price match guarantee (not sure how it works). Update: After returning from our trip, I am very satisfied with the service and think that the travel agent was well informed and helpful throughout the whole process. Would recommend their services :D

The desk staff were very attentive and checking on everyone in the waiting area and accommodating folks with any language barriers. Our flight attendants were wonderful serving meals, snacks, and drinks on a packed flight. I highly recommend the Sky Time Peach and Grape Mix juice, but some alcoholic options like sake are complementary on their flights. The food was better than other airlines, even in economy class. With OneWorld and airlines operating under different names, we were delighted to be on an authentic JAL flight, and I hope to fly this airline again someday.

My family flew multiple airlines decades past to the Philippines but our most recent trip with EVA air is possibly one of the best in-flight experiences we've ever had. Average travel time to the Philippines which include flight time plus layovers average 18 hours. That is significant and any travel time within this range is considered an ultra-long haul flight. With aging parents in their 80s plus the travel time, we considered a few things. Budget and comfort were the two big ones. We can't afford to fly a family of 4 out in business however we opted to spring for premium economy. In 1992, EVA air was the first airline to offer premium economy seating. Over 30 years later EVA continues to perfect the premium economy experience and it shows in their service, amenities, environment and food. Service and food options were superb. The amenities and comfort are worth the extra expense. If you choose to upgrade, EVA air offers an exclusive premium economy menu which you'll have early access to view and select your meal by pre-checking through logging on their website. The premium economy dining experience is gourmet quality. For added convenience you have your own power source for USB and 110V outlets near each seat. Premium also offers upgraded personal care kits with a pillow and blanket set, larger seat pitch with greater recline, footrests and exclusive bathroom with upgraded bathroom toiletries. We requested wheelchair assistance for both my parents since the both of them, although able to walk, have limited mobility. Dad is on a cane and mom can only walk short distances. The staff on EVA air were extremely patient helping my parents navigate transport as they were coming on/off the plane. EVA flight attendants were ready to assist when my parents needed help with accessing the amenities onboard in addition to catering mom's dietary restrictions. Wheelchair assistance was available every step of the way between connecting flights and airports. It made traveling easy and stress free. Yes premium economy comes at a premium. The upgrade will cost a few hundred more per person but it is worth it especially when taking a long or ultra-long haul flight. The key is to fly during low season to get the best deals. For this flight we were allowed two large checked in bags with weight limit of around 50 lbs and one carryon. I can't remember the carryon weight limit but you can check the website on their FAQ page.

We had a great experience with Eva Air flying from Chicago to Guangzhou China with a layover in…read moreTaipei.  The Boeing 777-300ER basic economy seats had nice leg room (33" pitch), but if you want to go for premium economy, those extra roomy seats (38" pitch) almost look like they are worth the healthy premium.  The attendants and in-flight service and entertainment were fine.  The food was quite good and included two hot meals and a cold sandwich.  With comfortable seats, the 16 hour flight to Taipei went by relatively quickly once you are able to nap some between movies, music, and the meals.   From my experience to date, I'd rate Eva Air slightly over Korean Air (which was also satisfactory but with less comfortable seats) and any foreign airline over the US airlines for long haul flights.   We also flew Eva Air on the return trip from Hong Kong to Chicago and again with a 3 hour layover in Taipei.  The long 13.5 hour leg was also on a Boeing 777-300ER.  The seat pitch was a bit tighter by 1-2 inches compared to the outbound flight and I learned the degree of comfort actually depends on the version of the 777-300ER you get!  Upon some subsequent research, there are 4 versions of the 777-300ER and only 1 version has the 33" pitch vs 31-32" for the other 3!  Otherwise, food and service and entertainment were again quite fine except for one meal (a Korean-style BBQ beef with rice which was mediocre).  Flying Eva will likely also mean a layover in Taipei and their international terminal is state-of-the-art, classy, and comfortable, and so that is another plus.  Overall, I'll say 4.5 stars, a great airline, and I would enthusiastically fly with them again.

After my failed attempts at finding a flight on-line I called Adriana at Nitti...they are open by 9:30 on Saturdays! Within, literally, a minute, she had my friend booked on a flight with an actual seat that would arrive by the time she needed to be in town...and for less than 1/2 the price of all the flights I could find! And it was a direct flight!!! I said, "Surely, you can't be serious!" and she said, "I AM serious...and don't call me Shirley..." Come on! A litlle Airplane! joke never killed anyone...

The big point of difference back then was you were able to walk on minutes before the flight and they would wait for you if you were running late because of bad traffic. Well, both of those benefits are gone. You now have to arrive 1/2 before the flight and the doors close 10 minutes before it leaves. Also, even if you call in and let them know you'll be arriving just before departure, due to traffic in Chicago, they will not let you on even if the plane is still their. So, essentially, they are just another airline. Sad.
