I purchased my…read more2022 GMC Terrain on 11/21/2022, and for over three years I have been dealing with an ongoing transmission warning light, poor acceleration, and shifting issues that this dealership has failed to fix. Early on, I was told the issue was "not serious" and that I was covered. That turned out to be completely misleading. I have brought my vehicle in multiple times and even left it for an extended period, receiving a loaner, yet the problem continues. At my most recent visit on 2/3/2026, I was told there is nothing they can do because the light comes on and off. I was also told I needed filters, but within a day, the transmission light came right back on. I emailed management last year and never received a single response. No follow up, no accountability, nothing. Now I have been instructed by GM to take my vehicle to a different dealership, which says everything about how this one has handled the situation. This is the third winter where I cannot rely on my vehicle, with a 50 percent chance it will even warm up and run properly in Chicago weather. Between the distance, my demanding job, and dealing with health issues, this has been exhausting. I bought my last two new vehicles to avoid this kind of situation, but instead I have been stuck with an unresolved issue and a dealership that refuses to take responsibility. Avoid this dealership if you expect real service or follow through.

    Was told by manager his tech was "having a day" ... Would not return. Got my vehicle serviced here…read more Got the "all inclusive" bundle which included lube, oil change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection. First, I never was provided the multi-point inspection form. I followed up with the service advisor who never responded. Probably wasn't even completed. Second, there was no oil change sticker placed in my windshield, advising of what oil was used, when the next change is due, etc. Makes me think they didn't even complete the oil change. How do you forget to put an oil change sticker? Third, car was returned to me unwashed. This was just the icing on the cake - overall left with a bad impression. The service manager called me to discuss the above. He said his guy "was just having a day." Whatever that means. And as far as the car wash is concerned - it was "broke down" for the day. Just excuses, no further action. Would not return.

Granted, we did a TON of research before buying, watched every Youtube video, did all the side-by-side comparisons, read all of the blogs. So we knew probably more than most people do. But we were shocked by how many salespeople gave us incorrect information, and didn't realize it until we corrected them. Quite a few times they tried to upsell the vehicle based on things that were included, just to get us to pay a higher price. We dealt with quite a few bait-and-switch situations. Berwyn Kia was by far the furthest dealership from us (northside of Chicago), so we were hesitant to drive all the way down and deal with the same stuff. But they had the Telluride we wanted, so we made the drive. From the first interaction, everything felt different. It felt very casual, it went at our pace, and they recognized that we were knowledgable buyers and met us where we were at. They were really straightforward about pricing, and rather than having to negotiate, we got a great price right off the bat. Alex was really knowledgable about the car, and never once gave us incorrect information. It made us feel really comfortable. Aside from that, both Alex and Dennis (manager) actually took interest in us, and we had some really great conversations. When we actually came in to purchase the car, they took great care of us and we got to know each other to pass the time, because the actual purchase part does take time. Once we were ready to get in the car, Alex hopped in and walked us through EVERYTHING (features, specs, Kia Connect app) even though it was almost 9:30pm and the dealership had closed at 8pm. He didn't let us leave until all of our questions were answered. I really can't say much else other than if you're looking to buy a new Kia, I'd strongly recommend starting here and asking for Alex. A lot of dealerships are bigger and flashier, while this one is smaller and more humble. If you've been to those other dealerships, you'll feel the difference here immediately.

    Update on 5/2/26 came back to this dealership and service…read morearea for service on my Fiat and Xavier was so amazing to help me answer all my questions and he fixed everything that needed fixing. And then Xavier's manager helped me understand more about my gear shifter. Thank you service department for having wonderful hard working and knowledgeable and kind staff. Then I went to the express oil change service station and Adrian assisted me and took great care of my car for the oil change and topped off everything I needed (coolant and windshield wiper fluid is what they top off) and added air to my tires after a long cold winter. Oil change is $135. Free popcorn and hot beverages and water while you wait along w vending machines. And Miss Lovely Erica at the sales department was super nice too! She looks out for customers and has their best interest in mind still after 8 years. She made fresh popcorn for customers to enjoy while waiting for the oil change. Thank you Hawk! The staff make the place and thank you for hiring such dedicated staff. And they play 80s music, the gold standard across the world :) Only thing I would ask ... please update the sofa and chairs at the express oil change service area. I understand it's happening very soon but the sofas are lumpy and cloth which is not easy to clean as it absorbs dust and odors... vinyl cushioned single seaters and love seats would be amazing ... just my personal preference like the ones at airports bc they are durable and easy to clean and don't lose their bounce. Then the high round tables and chairs are fine as they can be cleaned easily but the height to chair ratio is too short for petite people like me and once I sat on the chair I feel like my chin is almost hitting the table so please have taller chairs so people like me can enjoy the table.     Signed contract on 05/6/26 to secure purchase, plates transferred and insurance notified. I noticed…read morea $2550 difference between the listing and contract sale price. On Friday 05/08/26, I questioned this, they refused to honor the listing price. On Saturday, 05/09/26, they lured me in, wrongfully repossessed the vehicle, and engaged in fraudulent spot-delivery practices. I had my copy of the contract in the vehicle. They removed everything out of the vehicle without my permission and failed to return my copy of the signed contract. I just so happened to have a copy of the sale, receipt, and registration. In addition, they failed to comply with the return of my down payment. Legal action is pending. The attorney general office has been notified. RUN FAST!!!! BEWARE
