I stopped in today for the first time, after calling to confirm they have an entrance off the parking lot in the rear (it's in the alcove next-door to the State Farm door, just east of Ace Hardware.) After chatting briefly with owner Ernie/Ernesto, who was awesome, I ordered a ham and cheese omelette (comes with hash browns) and an English muffin, and did my standard drink thing which is ordering a cup of hot coffee, creamer, and a glass of ice, and making my own iced coffee. Eddie was also the chef, and did an excellent job. The omelette was huge and full of stuff, the hash browns were nicely browned, and the English muffin was lightly toasted and piping hot - everything was exactly as I like it! I sent pictures of my meal to my husband and told him we are coming here this weekend. I'm so glad to find such a great, comfortable breakfast and lunch place right in uptown Edgebrook, that's open most days until 7pm, and now I need to try so many other things on the menu! (They're all available all day.)

Love small diner style restaurants like this. The service and attention was excellent, and food was very good. If you're craving Mexican breakfast, can't go wrong here. There is free parking in the back - fyi.

Cozy neighborhood restaurant. The food is good but what really stood out was the service. The owner and server both went out of their way to make sure everything was good. They also made us feel right at home, extremely friendly individuals. Glad to support this new up and coming business.

One of these things does not belong in a burrito.

Spouse picked up two burritos June 25, steak and chicken. No complaints about the generous size. I cut mine in half. Chicken wasn't what I'm used to, firm bits like you get in Orange Chicken. Little salty. On my last bite, something crackled. I thought "Oh crud, is there pork cracklin or a chicken foot in here?" Nope, worse. I pulled a shriveled up piece of plastic wrap, measuring 4x4.5" unfurled, out of my mouth. A food wrapper inside a burrito is absolutely disgusting and says a lot about kitchen hygiene. We won't be back.

It came as a great recommendation! We didn't have it for a while since we live the low-carb life but were thrilled to learn they do a "sub in a tub". I love their tuna salad/sub. Their bread is soft, back when I could eat it. They don't overfill it with mayo either and add some mild peppers or hot on request. I like that they don't have onions at the deli so it doesn't overpower everything else. My husband typically loves the club. They rolled a generous amount into a container and I used scissors to quickly and easily cut it. It was a perfect lunch and I have enough for another tomorrow! For $8, or $11 for a generous tuna scoop, you can't beat it. Staff is also quick and friendly at the deli, as well as checkout. You can find all kinds of things for the house or to gift someone whether it's food, a cookie jar, something imported from Italy, or a homemade meal. You'll find something for everyone.

The olives are just a perfect match to that super tender roast beef! Took home some vodka sauce and smoked mozzarella gnocchi for dinner too. The gnocchi are really nice fluffy pillows unlike any I've had before. So light.

(Sorry, no pictures this time! I was enjoying my food so much that I completely forgot.) The ambiance is welcoming, bright, and modern, and the restaurant is much larger than I expected. Everything was clean, and our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the Lox Plate, and it was outstanding. The salmon had the perfect texture and seasoning, the cucumbers and bagel were fresh, and all of the flavors paired together beautifully. I love seeing lox on a menu, but many restaurants either don't do it well or serve portions that are too small. Here, everything was spot on, and the portion was generous enough that I left completely satisfied. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal, and my husband and I have already said we'll be back very soon. This restaurant is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood, especially since there aren't many local breakfast spots nearby that aren't part of a chain. Highly recommend!

That said, there are so many options, particularly for this vegetarian and egg hater. Pro tip: Make a reservation! The place had a solid wait from the time we arrived until we left. Service was ok, spotty at bits, but I also attribute it to the place being busy. We had to ask a second time for some missing items. To eat, I got the berry crepes and a side of hash browns with cheese. My friend got the eggs Benedict with a side of pancakes. The crepes were very good, but I preferred the bites without the berry mascarpone filling. The side of pancakes my friend got was huge, this would be plenty as a main. They are very good at accommodating larger parties, but do wait to seat you until your party is all there.
