I made an appointment as a new patient to have a spot checked and then I thought oh I do need a couple other concerning spots looked at. so I called back Incase they needed to reschedule based on doctors time frame. I made them aware of what I needed and I was told that the doctor will only check two spots at a time and I was told pick the worst of two. I was dumbfounded by that comment and dumbfounded that they wouldn't even do a total skin check on me. I had to pick two moles and that's it and then come back and do two more. They don't listen and only care about selling you the product that's paying them to put posters up. I've never gotten great help from a dermatologist until now. I didn't want to go, but I had exhausted all my options and my acne was just getting worse. PA Bruno had been recommended by multiple people and now I know why! He actually looked at my face, listened to my story, and talked me through what was going on and what we could do to fix it. You can tell he cares about his patients and wants to help. I just went back the other day for my 6 week follow up and Bruno remembered me and help tweak my plan to get things moving along. If you are struggling with acne, I highly recommend seeing Bruno, he is amazing and has made this difficult journey much nicer.

I ended up with lots of stitches. During my follow-up the doctor said he had "good news, and great news". The "good news" is the second sample from their lab showed he got all the cancer. The "great news" was their in-house lab made a mistake on the first sample so I never had skin cancer in the first place! So I go through pain, can't sleep on my back for 3 weeks, and now a lovely scar on my back. All for nothing. "Great news". I will NEVER return. My new dermatologist said I should have asked them to compensate me for my out of pocket expenses. And they never said "sorry". If you go there, get a second opinion. My opinion, don't even go there.

Please stay away from this spa!!!…read more Updated: I have irritant contact dermatitis and cutaneous trauma from the facial I received - per my dermatologist. I also requested a full refund which they said they would. Hey guys I just want to share my terrible experiences that I have suffered from Merum Face Bar on Watters Creek, Allen. I came in on Friday for a relaxing facial massage which supposed to be gentle - no harsh chemical peel or laser. During the facial, I did notice a burning sensation on my face so I immediately told her and she took the pumpkin enzyme off and it calmed down. It was over an hour facial and they should have noticed my irritation during the process and could have stopped the facial. I also communicated with them clearly about my skin type and the products I have been using. I have combination/oily skin and my skin is not sensitive at all. I never had any allergic reaction to any skin care products I have bought from Sephora/Spa/Clinic etc in my whole life. I also get facial at different spas once in a while but this never happened before. Now they are telling me to seek professional help as there is not much they can do. I am traumatized looking at my face right now. I could not see a dermatologist on the weekend and still do not know if anyone can squeeze me in next week so my anxiety is crazy right now.... Also, They don't even offer me any post facial cream to help with the irritation. No offer to issue a full refund on this traumatized experiences. Just very disappointed on how the manager level handled this.
