Our whole dining experience was very pleasant, from Judah who took our order to the staff tha prepared it, everyone made us feel appreciated!! Don and Tiana (sorry if I spelled it incorrectly) went out of their way to make us feel at home. Don told us about his experience in the Navy, as my wife had mentioned to him that we were there before our son left for boot camp training in the army reserves. He also told us about all community services your restaurant provides, amazing! This will definitely be one of our "must stop" food places every time we visit! The downside is they need more or larger set up as they quickly run out. If you're in the area it is worth trying. Now for the food: The mac n cheese is one of the better I've had. The potato salad is a southern mustard version, I believe. The baked beans may have cumin, I believe. At first, it wasn't bad but the cumin sort of tired me out. These sides issues are personal preference issues. If I liked their flavor they'd be good. The ribs were fall of the bone, but that shouldn't be the final judgement. The pulled pork and brisket were tender, however, all three suffered from what I'd say is a lack in flavor. I prefer more flavor to it. The bbq sauce isn't bad. I didn't have enough to really judge it. It isn't a thick sauce. I would prefer my bbq sauce to be in a container for me to apply rather than spread over my meat. Is it the best bbq in PA? No. Is it better than average? Yes, but not a top tier. Are the portions generous? For me, no, but maybe others yes. Is this the best bbq in the area? Currently, I'd say yes. Overall, would I eat here again? Yes, as they are currently the best in the local region. Will I go out of my way to eat here? Only if I have a strong urge for brisket or ribs. I honestly believe this place is between a 3 and 4, so a 3.5. Again, the people here have been very nice and try to be as accommodating as they can.

We were also visited tableside by Chef/Owner Geno Goodman, and had a nice conversation about the restaurant biz. Our food was delicious. We started with the smoked deviled eggs, which were nicely smoked and seasoned. B had a special, branzino, with collards and Mac and cheese. I decided on a small rack of ribs with collards and corn on the cob. Everything was simply wonderful. The ribs were falling off the bone and amply sauced. There were covered tables outside, for seating, and a food truck was set up next to the entertainment. We were looking for a local place to get a quick, late lunch. We really enjoyed the setting, on the old Main Street of Mocksville, NC. We looked over the menu for the food truck and decided to give it a try. We ordered the BBQ chicken, BBQ spare rib sandwich, and potato salad along with the macaroni and cheese, for our 2 sides. Because of an arrangement with the bar/store, we weren't able to purchase our drinks from them, but they did have a variety of sodas, water, and alcoholic drinks. Everything was delicious. I am not a big fan of red tomato BBQ sauce but the sauce was sweet, thick and tasty. The meat slid off the bones, and was very tender. We loved the potato salad, too. I guessed most of the ingredients, but there was something else in the salad that boosted the flavor! When asked what else she put in the salad, Kay responded, "the special ingredient is "LOVE." Eric and Kay, the owners, were great. They were friendly, answered all our questions about the food, and where they can be found in the area. Their phone number is included so you can find out where they are usually set up. With the increased prices for anything connected with food, it was a little high, but in line with all the other food trucks in our Piedmont, NC area.
