Chorizo taco

Food is really good for the price and it's authentic Mexican food. The chips with queso + salsa is really good and the street tacos, chilaquiles, jalapeño margaritas were also very nice and flavorful!

Chiapas was a nice surprise, man o man, like a huge surprise. Like that present you had no idea you were going to get. First it looks like nothing much from the outside, but going in there are probably at least 7 or 8 good size booths and other tables and if decorated nicely with a good amount of TVs too. They have a menu with lots of really good options, seafood, chicken, steak, burritos, tortas, chimmies, enchiladas and fajitas, plus much more. And yes red salsa and chips to munch on. By the way I love the little glasses the salsa comes in. Burrito deluxe smothered in cheese was huge and so good, the plate was as clean as a whistle. The Camarcncs Alambre (shrimp wrapped in bacon), looked incredible, my wife loved it. Overall Chiapas is incredible, we loved it and were pleasantly surprised. Their menu is large with lots of options, you'll find something incredible and want to go try something else on your next visit. It's a great find enjoy!!

I feel foolish for passing this as many times as I have without trying it. It is now going to be on our top places to eat. It's probably the most authentic we've had, they have lengua tacos!!! The chorizo is amazing and so tasty, we did the happy dance! The lunch fajitas are soooo good! It's the perfect portion as well. Don't be like me and miss out!

Three tacos plate

I've eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. The three tacos plate is really tasty, a good amount of food, and the meat is grilled perfectly. The margaritas, chips and salsa are great too. Personally, the beans are a bit bland. Customer service is courteous, efficient, keeps drinks filled, yet leaves you to eat your meal in peace. The tables and chairs have pretty artwork. I consider Chiapas my new go-to whenever I'm craving more authentic type Mexican food at a casual sit-down place.

The only thing Win and I ordered here was Horchata! Best decision we've made this weekend ! Cute restaurant and will stay for dinner another time!

The service was slow. We had to remind them we were sitting there and then again for our straw and silverware. They were busy so we can understand that. The waiter was apologetic and nice, so that helped. The food was mediocre. Chicken was dry and overcooked and the sauces tasted generic and a little sour. My margarita was strong. I like that they didn't skimp on the alcohol but I think they overdid it.

The inside, food comes out hot of the kitchen on the right

We stopped by on Saturday for dinner and we arrived just in time. Chiapas is one busy place for Mexican food in Centerville right across from Incarnation church. You are given chips and salsa when you are seated, they have quite a menu, it was hard to decide with so many choices. Everything is numbered in the menu and has many enticing pictures of the dishes, if you're unsure what to selected. We were looking for new Mexican place to try and we were treated to a great meal, I enjoyed the steak fajita quesadilla, another friend had two steak mini-quesedilla's and another beef Chimichangas. The food came out hot from the kitchen and the beers were ice cold. They do a lot of carry out orders as there were several people coming in and out picking up their meals, or stopping in to place a carry out order. Note the restaurant is small and their parking lot can be small with lots of people coming in and out. Also they do have several authentic hard to find items on their menu - a true sign of a great Mexican restaurant Chilaquiles, Torta Sandwiches and several soups (Pozole, Caldo de Rez, Mexican Meatball Soup) They do have an outdoor dining area, which will be great to enjoy in warmer weather on a future visit. Thank you Chiapas team for a great Saturday dinner.

Chori Dip

The chori dip was flavorful and had just enough chorizo to compliment the cheese dip. The salsa was also great - definitely on the tomato side. The chimichanga was okay. Nothing really stood out there. Same with the steak fajitas. The steak was definitely overcooked and lacked much seasoning on the meat. The chorizo taco was the best item by far - very savory and had great spices! The al pastor is a pass.

I had thought about this place before but we went somewhere else to eat. On the day we decided to…read morestop, we were hesitant but we were glad we did. The decor wasn't over the top and the music wasn't loud. I decided on the shrimp tacos with black beans and rice. Very tasty. The sauce on the side is way too spicy for me. I didn't need it. My wife ordered the Fiesta sampler appetizer, they were shredded chicken. The chicken could have been seasoned a little better but not bad. She said she thought the beef might have been a better choice for her. Chips and salsa were good. Our server was very attentive and friendly. This place was closer than our usual restaurant, will be back

Bowling Soup wrote a song about my life titled, "come back to Texas" with the infamous line- "come…read moreback to Texas, besides the Mexican food sucks north of here anyway." This is hilarious and not always true. We come to Ohio to visit my husbands family and okay- I'll admit I don't trust Mexican food in states that don't border the beautiful country of Mexico. But this was a delightful surprise. I ordered a steak quesadilla and could have done without the extra cheese sauce poured over it. But the flavor overall was good. Rice and beans were also flavorful. I would have like a salsa that had a bit more spice and bite to it. Throw some habaneros, Serranos and tomato's together. Please!!! My husband ordered enchiladas and said they were good. The staff was super friendly and attentive.

Vallarta Mexican Seafood…read more All the vibes of a Mexican Pacific Coast restaurant. Finally persuaded my 100% Italian wife to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood, and she loves this place. Caveat: Vallarta Mexican Seafood is several rungs above the average Tex-Mex joint in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. We really enjoy Sonora Grill Seafood Steak Bar & Grill, and Vallarta Mexican Seafood merits special attention as well. On our radar: La Poblanita Mexican Market and restaurant. A note on stars; Sonora Grille is on Burkhardt, and in a small strip mall; I am not inclined to award a strip mall restaurant 5 stars; however.... Vallarta Mexican Seafoodis also in a small strip mall with plenty of free parking. Folks inclined to visit and dine at The Greene might go west to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood. Travel Tip: do check menu Spanish definitions to avoid order errors. We can depend upon Yelp whilst researching: Here are 5 Star Reviews for Vallarta Mexican Seafood. Several of these reviews encouraged us to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood: ...but their food is SO GOOD!! Fresh, flavorful, not your typical Mexican restaurant. Visiting from Seattle and was looking for some good authentic Mexican cuisine. Found it here! Vallarta Mexican & Seafood... a MUST try for super fresh, delicious, LARGE portion seafood! Amazing service, fantastic portion sizes, and the food was awesome! will definitely be back! Throughout our 60 year relationship, my wife enjoys dessert as an appetizer, and today is no exception. The Churro's are delivered in a flash; we discovered this special treat nearly 50 years ago during an expedition to Spain and Portugal. The very best Churro's were prepared by roadside vendors, and our friends, Bill and Ellen Rose agreed. Neat ambience, and delightful service. Music is Boomer Music.... My wife insisted on MAR Y TIERRA - Mexican Surf and Turf. Grilled chicken, steak and shrimp served with rice, charro beans, sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes - expect a togo box. My son elected QUESADILLA DE ASADA A flour tortilla filled with your choice of grilled meat, stuffed with cheese, grilled bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Served with rice. And I selected Steak PARRILADAsteak cooked with bell peppers, tomatoes and onions. Served with rice, charro beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and flour tortillas - expect a togo box. Way too much Tilapia on the menu - we recommend to lose this fish and replace with REAL fish. My wife is Very Pleased, and she advises that we shall return
