Nice place, relaxed atmosphere. Food was excellent and the service was really good. Pleasant, small restaurant.

This was probably the best Thai meal I've had in any part of the world. My partner and I walked in…read moreand were immediately greeted warmly by the hostess as if we were being welcomed into our new family. The decor was tasteful, service was friendly, and the food was amazing!! The menu only included beverages and a few add-ons; other than that, there's no need to choose what you're eating. Similar to visiting someone's home, you eat whatever they're serving. They started us off with some prawn chips (which have a highly addictive flavor and a fluffy/crunchy texture), then soup, then a selection of four entrees, along with some rice. They choose the four entrees based on what fresh ingredients they have on hand that day. (If you have dietary restrictions, tell them when you arrive, they can adjust the meal accordingly.) The portions of the 4 entree sampler were quite large, I'd estimate you get 4-5 bites of each. I was approaching full after eating two of the four, but I couldn't stop eating because it was so tasty! Our four dishes were a spicy green curry with chicken, a beef stir fry, stir fried vegetables, and some deep fried white fish with sweet chili sauce. It was all spiced well and cooked to perfection, none of the meat was too dry/chewy nor were the vegetables mushy. We finished off the meal with a bowl of diced fresh mango. What a wonderful, simple treat. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Delft!

Wonderful spot. Spicy Thai soup was just what the doctor ordered after traveling for a week…read more Everything else was delicious, too. Service was warm and attentive. The location couldn't be more convenient. Highly recommended.

While walking the streets of Amsterdam in search of Thai food, I found this gem within a 10-15…read moreminute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. I ordered the Chicken Spring Rolls, Drunken Noodles with Beef, and Tom Yam Kung Soup with a side of white rice and a beer (Singha). The Chicken Spring Rolls were crispy, delicious, and packed with flavor. I recommend ordering the spring rolls while you wait for the main meal. Make sure you use the sweet and sour dipping sauce that comes with the spring rolls. The Tom Yam Kung Soup is so good! With a coconut milk broth with a hint of lime, and shrimp, I highly recommend ordering the Tom Yam Kung Soup with a side of white rice (optional) to soak up the delicious broth, which will leave you warm and satisfied. If you are trying to decide on a noodle dish to order, I recommend going with the Drunken Noodles with Beef (or Chicken). You may also want to request a mild spice level depending on your spice tolerance because the default spicy level is medium spice. It was a great balance of meat, veggies, and noodles. If you're someone who loves Thai food, and you eat it regularly, then your taste buds will automatically tingle with happiness and familiarity confirming that you're eating authentic Thai food...and it's incredibly delicious. If you're exploring Amsterdam in search for a great place for dinner, I highly recommend you give Chok Dee Thai a chance. Service was great too!

The satay was disappointing compared to what I could get at swieti. The pad Thai though was super fresh and partner loved it. I felt it needed a bit of heat/spiciness but he thought it was perfect. It was definitely well made.
