I provided them with the information requested and was sent a text with the estimate. I then asked about the Costco 15% voucher and a time to bring the car in for repair. Their responds was I needed to bring the car in to the shop for a physical inspection to provide an accurate estimate. I brought the car to you on Friday May 14, 2026 asking for the estimate on the trailing arms and inquired about the dash board lights. They asked for 2 hours of time to prepare this. I received the estimate for the repairs along with an inspection report and quotes for 17 other "issues", I did not request an inspection of any kind. When I return to retrieve the car and finalize the repairs I ask a couple of question, first will they honor the Costco voucher and timing to have the repairs completed. Here are my challenges with the transaction, I had temporary access to these estimates and was locked out once I paid the fee of $81.00 ($77.,25 actual debit transition), your website states a free estimate but you charged me and then restricted my access. The garage has a deal with Costco to take 15% off the total bill but when asked I was told you would take 10% on part and 15% on labor. The texted estimate was $1610.00 prior to me asking about the Costco discount and the realtime estimate was $1750 as I recalling only being able to view it prior to lockout. Most concerning was your raid silent when I called to follow up on Saturday as requested by you, I called around 8:30 AM , followed up with a text at around 11 AM and another at 2:15 PM and as on this email there has been no response. The work has been completed by another garage and its is worth pointing out in this review it was completed at a cost of 1/2 what Logan Square Garage was going to charge me. Pulled into the alley and the guy at the front counter grabbed my keys and had the car in the garage in less than 3 minutes. They couldn't find a puncture leak, and came out to talk to me about it--confirming the tire location, and said they would check the others as well. Eventually they found a slow rim link, and cleaned and resealed. Communicated each step of the way which was helpfu, and only charged me $20 (their quick tire patch fee) even though it took them extra time. Appreciated it and will be back.

Misleading Groupon Offer - Not Honored by Business…read more Always call first before purchasing a Groupon. I purchased a Groupon on Christmas Day for this business advertising a full brake and rotor replacement (all four wheels) for $546. The listing clearly showed the deal as 30% off and stated it was ending the following day. Even though the business was closed on Christmas, the offer was actively being advertised, so I purchased it in good faith. When I arrived for service, I was told that the business no longer accepts Groupon and that they "don't have a contract with Groupon anymore." This was extremely frustrating and confusing, especially since the offer is still being advertised on Groupon's website. I've been trying to get my brakes and rotors replaced for some time, and paying over $500 only to be turned away because the business refuses to honor its own advertised deal is unacceptable. If a business no longer works with Groupon, their offers should not still be live and misleading customers. This experience wasted my time and created unnecessary stress. I would not recommend purchasing Groupon services from this location unless this issue is properly resolved.

I had been taking my car around to a few different shops in the area, and wasn't really having any luck, so I was pretty exhausted by trying to explain everything, but right away, they were just like "we'll just do a full inspection of everything!" I wasn't fully confident that they'd catch much (as other shops had not been able to catch anything going on). I took the car in right as they closed on a Wednesday, and by like 10am the next morning, I was sent a link to TekMetric - an app they use to document their entire process, including photos, diagnoses, and individual notes from the tech. The total on the repairs was MUCH higher than I anticipated, and I was a bit freaked out, but when I called them, I spoke with the person who inspected my car, and we went through each item individually over the phone, and discussed what was immediate safety concerns, things I SHOULD do but could get away with, and things that are more preventative measures that will need to be addressed down the line. They were very upfront with me about the timeline, which was a very quick turnaround. I've seriously have never been so impressed with a shop before. Their labor cost per hour was a little bit higher than what I saw from other local shops, but honestly, for this level of service, and how confident I was moving forward with the work, it was worth it.

1 star -- Avoid this shop if your time is valuable…read more I scheduled a 1:00 PM appointment for a wheel alignment after replacing suspension components. I arrived 5-10 minutes early, checked in, and left my keys. The person at the front desk told me the service would take approximately 1.5-2 hours. I left the car and went shopping nearby to pass the time. After about 1.5 hours, I received a call from the shop. I thought they were calling to let me know the car was finished, but instead I was told they hadn't even started working on it and needed another 1.5-2 hours. The explanation was that they had a pickup truck that needed to use the only alignment lift because it was too heavy for their other lifts. Since my vehicle needed an alignment, they couldn't use the other lifts for my car. The frustrating part is that when I arrived for my scheduled appointment at 1:00 PM, the alignment lift was empty. Instead of taking my vehicle for its scheduled alignment, they chose to put the pickup on the alignment lift, knowing that this would prevent them from servicing my car. If I'm not mistaken, the truck was a regular F-150, around 6,000 lbs. If their other lifts couldn't handle it, that's understandable -- but the way they handled the situation was not. They should have considered the scheduled appointments before occupying the only lift required for my service. The biggest problem was the lack of communication and complete disregard for my time. Nobody informed me that my appointment would be delayed. I had to wait 1.5 hours just to find out that they hadn't even started. Big shout-out to Midas, which took care of my car the next day, completed the alignment in less than an hour, charged the same price, and provided a 3-year warranty instead of Pep Boys' 1-year warranty. I won't be returning to Pep Boys. If your time is valuable, I recommend taking your business elsewhere.
