The food was really good. The service Was even better, the food came in under 5 minutes and the sever was incredibly kind. I would recommend this place for sure 5 stars.

Yvonne's famous hot turkey sandwich

Very cute restaurant. Staff was very friendly and a lot of items to choose from on the menu. We ordered the seafood platter and the hot turkey sandwich. I usually do not like to order turkey sandwiches at restaurants as they can be a little dry, but this one here is amazing! Very generous portion of turkey and it was not dry at all! I enjoyed every bite. Apparently the owner is a turkey farmer so they are well known for their turkey! The seafood platter was a great value as it comes with big portions (except for the lobster). But if you can only try one thing here, I definitely would recommend the turkey sandwich!

Mussels

Nicely decorated restaurant, staff was very friendly. Ordered mussels appetizer- over half of them were empty. For $13 I feel like that should not be happening

fish and vegetables on a table

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! We visited here once before when we came to the island and we knew we would return. We had steamed mussels as an appetizer with fish and chips and pan fried haddock as our main dishes, plus fresh dinner rolls. Reasonable prices.

Strawberry Milkshake at Chez Yvonne's

We weren't expecting this place to be very good based on the reviews we read. We were wrong! This place was great. First of all, our waitress was excellent. Service was fast, very friendly, and the food was pretty good. I ordered the strawberry milkshake as my drink. Sooo good. It tasted like it was made with fresh strawberries and it had the perfect amount of thickness. I ordered the chicken fingers with onion rings as my side dish. The chicken was great and the onion rings were so delicious as well! My mom had the clam chowder which she said was very tasty. The only downside was that the steamed vegetables that came with my meal were a bit over cooked, they were lacking flavour and could use some seasoning. Other than that, this is a great place to eat!

At first, I thought I should've worn a button-down shirt, but I quickly noticed a mix of attire--some people dressed up, others in shorts--so it felt welcoming and relaxed. We started with oysters, which were absolutely delicious--completely different from the ones I've had in Florida. For my main course, I ordered the special of the day: baked halibut in a jerk sauce, served with Irish mashed potatoes and shrimp. The halibut was cooked perfectly--flaky, buttery, and flavorful. The jerk sauce added just the right amount of kick. The shrimp were tasty too, though I do wish there had been more of them, or at least a bit larger in size. That was really my only complaint. For dessert, we tried the bread pudding and the sticky date pudding. Both came out hot, rich, and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth good. By the end of the meal, we left happily stuffed and excited to explore more of the fish and shellfish PEI has to offer. Service was excellent--our waitress was efficient, friendly, and refreshingly no-nonsense. I'd highly recommend Claddagh's for anyone looking for a great dinner in a warm, lively atmosphere.

The place was kind of depressing it was empty and staff were on their phones the whole time. Multiple people came in and left because of the ridiculous prices. Our family has to navigate life with a severe nut allergy, so we were impressed when the staff took the time to discuss with us exactly which menu items were made in-house and safe. It's a mom and pop operation, they talked about how hard it was to find consistency and quality from the suppliers during -and after- the pandemic. We were able to find several food options for my son, and for him we ordered fried fish with a side of poutine. He was in heaven. Well, we all were, actually, because the seafood was delish. We even returned later for soft serve ice cream because they guaranteed it was nut-free. My kid has only had ice cream from a commercial restaurant maybe 2 or 3 times in his life, so it was a very rare and welcome treat. We definitely recommend Captain Scott's - both for their food and also for their family's friendliness and service. We love this place. Thank you!

It cost extra (~$60 IIRC) for a lobster lunch. We were each served a lobster and in the centre of the restaurant, they had trays of side dishes (self-serve). I don't remember all the side dishes but there were salads, soup, mussels. One con was that these didn't seem to get refilled as much as they should've throughout our lunch here (though we were told it would be constantly refilled). If you are part of a tour, my tip would be to fill your plate on the first round with whatever you think you'll eat. I usually take small portions and just get more after, but there was no more in this case. :') For the most part, the service was great. Our food was served almost immediately after being seated. The servers were very friendly. Food wasn't bad. I found my lobster to be just a teensy bit overcooked but the food is rarely ever perfect when you're part of a tour, because they have to prepare so much all at once.

We stopped in for lunch and we were early but the owner was very accommodating. We just couldn't resist having the lobster dinner. Came with mussels and a salad to start. The lobster came with corn on the cob and garlic bread. Right off the highway and lots of parking.
