Run by McGill university, this hotel from what I've been informed has recently underwent…read morerenovation. It's fairly well located, about 20-30mins from the airport. It's about a mile walk to some of the more energetic night life areas from what I can tell. The hotel is a total of 26 floors which is nice, and the style/decor of the rooms are definitely very classy but you can tell the renovations were primarily aesthetic-based. Negatives: When we first walked into the room it smelled like a after-practice boys gym locker room. God awful. But thanks to some febreeze I carry in my suitcase, we were able to freshen it up. The water pressure is not particularly strong and the hot water seems to vary. We got a room with 2 double beds and one did not have a fitted sheet on it, just a flat sheet and the mattresses are firm but not high quality, one of them also looked a bit dingy (yellowing a bit), only noticed because of the lack of fitted sheet. My biggest concern though is the WiFi access. I'm not quite sure if it's because all my electronics are used to American settings, but when I logged onto the WiFi using my phone and my computer, both alerted me that the access was not safe and a security concern. Although most public networks alert me as to protecting my data, I don't usually receive notifications that the accounts are actually a security concern. It may just be my American networks not adjusting well to international networks though, I'm not sure. Positives: This hotel does have a decent amount of positives too. The employees have been very helpful and kind during our stay. We arrived around 2:30 and were informed our room wasn't ready yet so they held our luggage and had someone work on our room so it was ready by 3:00pm. There is ample storage in the rooms, a refrigerator, and it is spacious. The decor, as mentioned previously, is well appointed and they do include complementary Keurig's and k-cups in the room. There are also a decent number of outlets, which is also something I look for since I'm also fighting with my travel companion for charging stations haha. The rooms include all the usual amenities including iron/board, nice shower products, decent hair dryer, TV w/ cable, free guest WiFi etc. The pillows are also very comfortable, much appreciated! Prices are easily located on their site, we got a very incremental discount because we booked a blocked room for a wedding. I don't know the usual rates for Montreal but I assume this hotel would be considered a more affordable one in the area and I'd consider the price to be mostly fair. Overall, for affordability and location I would choose this hotel again. I'm sure the renovations were extensive, just a few more kinks to work out (showers are a big selling point for me haha). But service has been positive and I like the amount of space in the room!

Hahaha Jesus Christ where do I even start? If I could leave bsc a 0 star rating and still leave a…read morereview I would. Unfortunately, to be able to unmask bsc I must be willing to give them a star they do not even deserve. Please do yourselves a favor and read the one star reviews. I promise you those are the ones that are speaking the truth. Before I moved to bsc I checked the reviews and I should have dipped out then. Cause everything I read was true. I found roaches in my apartment on MY FIRST DAY. Within the first month of living here I had expensive property ruined & and was unable to find who did it due to there neglect to install cameras outside. The two main folks that run the office, lauryn & julie, are the worst. They simply do NOT give a fuck about you. They only care about money. If you move in here my best advice, besides to just like not to, is to keep your head down. Don't use the amenities or at the least limit your usage. The less they know your face the less they can target you. My friends and I have been accused of stealing. Myself and my friends have had our apartments entered with no warning. Ive been threatened with extra charges cause julie cant admit shes wrong. They are supposed to have each room checked when someone moves out before someone else moves in but in my time there I had three roommates move out and NON of those time did someone come check the room. All three left there side of the apartment an absolute disaster and next thing I knew julie was in my apartment telling me I would have to pick it all up before I moved out or id be charged "because there was no proof that it wasn't my mess" This place is just disgusting all around. From the bugs everywhere to the way the management so obviously doesn't give a fuck. They also neglect to mow there lawn for most of each month and the grass gets above ankle height. Which is terrible for pets cause it makes it easier to get fleas. The little dogs disappear in the grass sometimes because of how tall it is. In summary, save your money and find somewhere actually worth it to live. There's nothing good at the commons besides the fact that its a roof over your head. I hated my time there. The staff lacks any sort of sympathy for anyone and are unprofessional ass all hell. If yall treated us with more respect you would receive it as well but you think your better then us just cause your work in the office. This place is a joke and either needs to be closed or put under new management. All they do is lie lie lie.

This building is EXTREMELY dirty. Staff is nice enough but seem to spend more time on advertising…read moreand throwing small events for the building versus keeping the building orderly and clean. There doesn't seem to be enough custodians as the building always has full trash cans in laundry rooms, gym, cafe etc. The gym equipment is never cleaned and the stairwells and elevators might be cleaned once a month. They allow tenants to have large (Great Dane size) dogs which leave massive piles of feces near entrances. The building management allows tenants to leave their trash outside their door stinking up the hallways and there is often random items throughout the building (I.e., dirty underwear, whole pizza boxes, furniture). Management's negligence poses safety concerns since furniture in a hallway blocks fire exits and is not ADA compliant. I've contacted the building on multiple occasions and they claim they will act but have found the same results (if not worse) of their lack of cleanliness. As a student myself, trust me when I say you can find a cheaper place to rent elsewhere!
