I had several choices since Montreal is a large city well equipped in student housing but it was clear to me that I wanted to share an apartment with other students or, at first, to live alone for some time and then find a room in an apartment already occupied by students. I was not interested in any residence life or a life with a family At first, from Tunisia, I scanned many classifieds websites to find somebody looking for a roommate. I found many offers and contacted some potential roommates but there was always something wrong somewhere: the room was not available anymore, the rental was for September only, the neighbourhood was way too far from McGill, etc. So I decided to find a furnished apartment for myself and to look for roommate on the spot. This is when I visited The Apartment Network in Quebec Website. It has been so easy to book a furnished studio from Tunisia. I just had to pay a reservation deposit. No long questionnaires. No credit check. My father's credit card and it was all! And I had a large choice of furnished studios located in different Montreal neighbourhood. I could see them all on the Apartment Network in Quebec Website. Finally, I had the one who was my first choice at a walking distance from a metro station. After 1 month at McGill, I had met many co-students and 3 of them were willing to share a furnished apartment with me. So, I contacted The Apartment Network and asked them to change my rental contract for a 4 bedroom furnished rental close to a metro station. Believe it or not, they had this kind of accommodation available. So, now, I'm well installed with friends I chose. We split the rent by four and since everything is included, we pay monthly a rent close to the one we would pay in a university residence and it is soooo cool...!

We didn't have time to book a tour, but tours are offered. We slowly drove by Habitat 67, then illegally parked the car and took some photos. Traffic was minimal the day we visited. The Wall Street Journal ran a story on Habitat 67 on September 7, 2022. That article reported that monthly dues are now $760 / cube / month and that the complex needs some structural repairs.

What a cool housing and architectural landmark. I highly recommend to drive over and see this amazing piece of architecture. I did not realize there is a guided tour. We started having a bed bug epidemic. We have bought new mattresses and new boxes which are sealed in their plastic packaging since we fear for them to be infested again. Despite numerous treatments, they've never really disappeared. If you're lucky you won't have them for a few months but thats because the apartment complex is still infested with bed bugs and cockroaches. They hire people to spray which I've seen them exit out of a normal vehicle and not a company car nir exterminators. I would also like to add that they used this spray "Bedbug killer" from the brand OnGuard, which you can easily buy off amazon and it's definitely not effective. Not only because real exterminators won't use this but it's pretty cheap stuff. Use this review as a great warning.

Very expensive for such old apartments and gloomy buildings. Frequent services outages (electricity, elevator, water, etc). Many businesses have left La Cite complex (McGill bookstore left, The Source moved away, Royal Bank closed their branch, gym shut down winter outdoor pool, medical clinic and other stores are all gone). In other words, most of La Cite's advertised "amenities" are gone for good. Do not be fooled by online 5-star fake reviews, they are not written by permanent tenants. Talk to true permanent tenants of unfurnished units to learn the real facts, and avoid making the mistake of renting at La Cité.

We both really enjoyed our stay here.This place was just built about a year ago, so everything is new. Its only two blocks from Atwatter Metro Station and it has a Starbucks and Adonis supermarket in the same building which we both used almost daily. The condominium has 4 rooftop pools with BBQ Grills, tables, and beautiful views of Montreal. They also have a nice Fitness Center with a sauna, hot tub, and steam room.They also have a lounge area on the 20th floor which overlooks the entire city. This place seems to be soundproof. We didn't hear any street noise and it's located on a busy part of St Catherine. I'm not a Canadian citizen, but if I was I would really look into living at this place. So if you're able to live here, you want regret it. If you just staying in town for a while, there are some tenants that have rentals on Airbnb. If you want the Airbnb listing that I rented from, just PM me and ask.

This is an apartments building downtown Montreal that I visited 3 weeks ago looking for an apartment for my sister who is going to Concordia University in Montreal, I saw the building and spoke to the manager and she showed me an apartment that was very clean and in a great condition, also the building is very well maintained. The manager of this building asked me sent me the application by email and asked me to fill it out, scan and email it back which I did, I also offered to go to Montreal even though I live in Ottawa to give a 100$ deposit but she "the manager" said that she wont rent the apartment and she gave me her word. I called to double check that she recieved my email and apparently she broke the word she gave me and the apartment is rented. This obviously caused a big deal of inconvinience and is very unprofessional of this building's manager. The gym has great equipment and the rooftop view is amazing. The new managent company Maddox is fantastic. The old management Brivia group's employees were too busy trying to manage ( poorly) other properties to address our problems like the car elevator being broken. I've lived here for 2 years…read more Starting from the beginning, the real estate guy was super creepy. He also didn't show up to scheduled viewings. When I finally leased the unit, I had to run around to get my keys to move in, there was no one around or answering the phone or available to assist in any way. No one answered my calls and no one set the elevator into moving mode the day I moved in which was a huge inconvenience to everyone. The building smells like weed and cigarettes constantly, there are cigarette butts and joints and lighters thrown on my balcony from above. They got in my plants and ruined them. The security is also not 24h, I think they're only available certain days/hours. PACKAGES GET STOLEN SUPER OFTEN. Elevators are constantly not working. I notified that I was moving out and realtors showed up without 24h notice (or any at all) to show my apartment. I informed them that I didn't receive notice of the showing and the girl asked to come in anyway. I communicated multiple times that I have health concerns and needed notice of entry into my apartment so I could take necessary precautions but I don't believe I was taken seriously. They also ask to raise rent for the next term ABOVE Quebec guidelines for rent increases. The management is non responsive, but polite. It takes 3-5 emails to get a reply that shows they've only read half your email
