To say my experience at Hannibal's/Chez Vincent was an amazing time would be an understatement. I host different dinner parties quarterly and I had 24 guests dine in the wine cellar. The theme was a game of Clue and the wait staff was so accommodating with our crowd. Everyone was so helpful, the food was delicious, and the wine was paired nicely with the meal. Pictured is escargot, Caesar salad, chicken with a Dijon sauce and a raspberry/chocolate mousse. I know it isn't easy serving such a big group of people but they did a fabulous job! I highly recommend dining with them or if you're festive like me, renting out their wine cellar! Five stars all around!!!

First time here and it was for Magical Dining. Located in Winter Park where there were a lot of restaurants parking can be a little difficult to find. Upon arrival we were seated in a room that reminded me of a very elegant home. Most everyone there chose Magical Dining menu. We had the escargot for appetizers which were delicious. We followed that with filet mignon and potatoes for our entree. Slightly disappointed with the filet as it didn't have the good sear on the outside...seemed as of it was steamed beforehand. We ended with crème brûlée and chocolate cake for dessert which were good. Service was excellent too!

Ambiance: 3/5. Service: 4/5. Food: 5/5. Ambiance and vibe were a little confusing and discombobulated, and the blue chairs were not comfy for me. But service was good. Loved Kathleen. I think they were a bit short-staffed on the Hannibal's side due to event. But she was sweet and the food came out quick. We had the escargot and spinach dip for apps. Split the mushroom soup. It was phenomenal. Then we had the venison and the mahi mahi special. Both were great. Second time being here and both were great. Will definitely be back.

Lamb with a weird blue cheese sauce

Everything was very disappointing. The bread was a bit crusty and stale (though I did like the sun dried tomato butter they served with it). The lamb was simply ok. I don't like that they took the meat off the bone for me and then smothered it in this rich blue cheese sauce. It was a weird sauce to serve with lamb to begin with, and then there was just too much of it. I asked for double vegetables instead of the starch, and I feel like I still only received one portion. The meal did not fill me up, and for the price, I was disappointed in the size and quality. My dining companions said the burgers they ordered were again nothing special.

Great food and exceptional service. The French chef is amazing and has his pulse on new cuisine. Love it here so much

I visited Chez Vincent for a mystery dinner party called: Classified, this past weekend. While I've been to another restaurant in Hannibal Square, I had never been to Chez Vincent. So, I was quite excited to visit this restaurant and dine. The mystery dinner party was hosted in the wine cellar of the restaurant - which can be rented for private dining/parties. So, it was cozy and quaint and fit perfectly into our All Black Attire detective theme for the evening. The overall restaurant itself is charming. It has a lovely European feel to it that brought me back to my days of studying abroad in Europe. The wine cellar had a surprisingly modern twist to it but it drew in the grand archways used to transition to the wine storage rooms as a beautiful homage to a classic architectural feature. Overall, it was quite a stunning space and the brick... really just ties it all together. Coupled with the simple table decor (the hand towels added a unique flair), the space was fit for a mystery dinner! Speaking of, the dinner itself was quite tasty. In addition to having to solve the mystery of whom stole the Black Diamond necklace, with each new clue we were given, we got a new course paired with it. Starting with our appetizer, a salad, the main entree and ending with dessert. We had up to 2 to 3 choices within each course and mine (as I will also rate them) were as follows: Soupe de jour (mushroom soup), Caesar salad, Pasta with white wine cream (mushroom pasta), and the Creme Brûlée. All dishes were good but the standout dish was hands down the Soupe de jour. I am not even a mushroom lover (in fact, I do not eat them as their texture tends to turn my palate off). However, the flavoring of that soup was heavenly! I would go back for just that soup alone! I think it won my heart over because the mushroom was so finally chopped that I hardly noticed them. The Caesar salad was nothing to brag about. It was your standard Caesar. Dressing was good. The white wine (mushroom pasta) was also good and had a lot of the same notes of the Soupe de jour but it just didn't wow me as much as the soup did. Also, the mushrooms, were not as finely chopped and very visible - which took away a little bit from the overall experience of that dish for me. However, I love most pastas, so I definitely finished it. Finally, the creme brûlée was also nothing to truly brag about but it was good. I wished the hard top was hardened a bit more and the overall custard filling was just a tad more flavorful, but alas, it's one of my favorite desserts of all time, so I definitely finished it. All in all, the food was good! Finally, before I wrap this up, let me give a special shout out to the servers we had that evening as they were exceptionally great!! They went above and beyond (also special thanks to chefs). They accommodated for those whom had food allergies, were able to work within the cozy quarters of the wine cellar and kept up the light and warming banter we had that evening. I cannot thank them ENOUGH for aiding in creating a wonderful dining experience. All in all, I enjoyed my first visit to Chez Vincent. I'll definitely have to pay them another visit to get an even better feel of the restaurant but until then, this was a great first impression!!

My boyfriend and I decided on this restaurant for our monthly date night! Booked a reservation for a Thursday night at 7pm and glad we did. Once we arrived around the area, street parking was a little difficult but we called the restaurant and said we're running behind by 15 mins and they were very accommodating and said it was no problem. We entered the restaurant and the Chef actually greeted us. It looks like it was a very hectic night bc all the servers were scrambling around. We were seated maybe 10 mins later by the Chef. Our server was very nice and attentive! We asked for the Magical Dining Plan menu for a set price of $40. My boyfriend ordered the goat salad, mignon and creme brûlée. I ordered the escargot, salmon and chocolate cake. Oh my god, it was so delicious! The best escargot I've had in Florida! We paired our meals with Old Fashions and St Germain vodka cocktails. Definitely worth the price it for the quality of food and drinks. Only giving it a four stars bc we sat all the way in the back corner, where they leave empty dishes and cups on the table. Seemed like a busy night but it got a little uncomfortable with the dirty dishes piling up next to us. There was also crumbs I had to dust off my seat before sitting down. It wasn't the cleanest place, but the atmosphere and hospitality from the staff and Chef made it worth coming back for.

Hoping to beat the Valentines rush we made reservations for dinner Friday night. We arrived a little early but were warmly greeted and seated by the host. I ordered a large bottle of sparkling water which was promptly delivered. We made a couple drink selections. I ordered an house special old fashioned and Niki their house special cocktail Hannibal. Both cocktails were poorly executed. The old fashioned just tasted too heavy of melted ice and the Hannibal tasted more like a bland wine cooler than a sophisticated cocktail one would find in Winter Park. This was remedied with two glasses of pinot and chardonnay. My order - escargot, ceasar, duck a lorange, and espresso souffle. The escargot came in a reasonable amount of time and was hot, buttery, garlic, and parsley goodness. The ceasar salad was next and too came in a reasonable amount of time. This is what I would call a chopped ceasar and though they claim it came tossed in a homemade anchovie dressing, no such dressing was evident at all. Niki did report and I can confirm that the carrot soup was very good. Our entrees came shortly after my ceasar. Niki reports that she enjoyed the venison very much. I got to taste a bite and can confirm. My duck a lorange was expertly prepared and the brown sauce was not to heavy with sweetness. The potatoes were whipped like airy clouds and the vegetables were delicious. My only complaint would be the duck breast was a very small portion. The biggest disappointment was the espresso souffle. We were told as usual that it was required to order in advance. This is common most places but what we got was hardly souffle at all. It was flat, not risen, eggy dough and served with a cheap chocolate sauce which if it wasn't just straight Hersheys, I'd be surprised. I have had excellent souffle here and abroad. This was an utter careless offering. Skip the cocktails, salad, and dessert. Order apps, entrees, and wine. Me, I can't live without the first three so I probably will go elsewhere.

We decided to visit Chez Vincent for magical dining, and it was such a lovely experience. Not only is it located in the beautiful WP area, but it was such an intimate and memorable time at our visit. Prior to starting our 3 course meal, we decided to start with spinach dip! Although I do prefer artichoke dips texture over the spinach's softer texture, the dip was very flavorful. It was easy to eat, and coated in a very creamy sauce. It was healthy and still left room for our 3 course meal! Starters: We got the escargots and seared tuna. For the escargot, the garlic buttery sauce was divine. The escargots were very fresh and a considerable size. For the seared tuna, it was coated and paired well with a fruity and sweet sauce. The texture of the tuna was great too! Entree: For entrees, we both decided to get the Filet Mignon! It was very tender and cooked to perfection. Although the pepper sauce was a bit spicy for me, it complimented the meat well. The side of mashed potatoes was also very buttery and delicious :) Dessert: For dessert, we picked crème brûlée and 3 layer chocolate cake. The crème brûlées texture was perfect with the hard caramelized sugar along with the creamy custard. For the chocolate cake, it was very sweet but satisfied our sweet tooth! The portions were pretty big as well. Overall, we were pleasantly pleased at our visit. We sat in very comfortable couches and lucky for us, sat right by the speakers and piano, which played a number of classics. Additionally, our server was excellent and paced the dinner well, so that we would have room for each meal. I can see us returning here for a number of years :)

WOW!!! We visited this restaurant last night with some friends and the service and the food was great. The place is split into two areas one side is the bar/ dining area with a person playing the piano. The other area is just dining. Both side had upscale decore and a romantic vibe to it. We arrive a little ahead of our reservation so we sat and had a drink at the bar. The bar staff was very friendly and made it a great start to our evening. After our drinks our table was ready and we were seated. We ordered from the magical dining menu. For appetizers we ordered the ahi tuna and the escargot. The ahi tuna was served drizzled with balsamic vinegar and the escargot was baked in a garlic and butter sauce. I'm not sure which one we liked better. We all agreed both was well prepared and very tasty. For our entrees we ordered the blackened grouper and the filet mignon medium rare. The steak came with a cognac sauce and I wasn't sure if I'd like it but I took a chance. Oh I have to tell you that sauce was so good and it took the flavors of the steak to another level. The grouper too was mouth watering served with a Grand Marnier sauce which was to die for. The presentation of both dishes were also well done and appealing to the eye. For dessert we had the three layer chocolate cake and chocolate and raspberry mousse, both delicious. After dinner we headed back to the bar side of the restaurant, had a few more drinks, listened to the piano player and had great conversation with others sitting at the bar. I highly recommend you try this place. It offered a romantic atmosphere with well prepared foods and awesome service. We are already planning to dine here again.

What would be a good spot after dining here to walk to?

If you are looking for shops and restaurants, walk to Park Avenue. There is also a rose garden on Park Avenue, and the world-class Morse Museum containing works by Louis C. Tiffany.

    What's the dress code?

People typically wear well tailored casual clothing in Winter Park. The vibe at Chez Vincent is casual and relaxed.

From the moment we walked in and were personally greeted by the hostess who confirmed our special occasion celebration and food allergies, the service was impeccable. The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and truly enhanced our experience. They expertly described each course, including how to eat it, and were patient with our questions. We made a last minute early dinner week night reservation (you have to prepay for your meal including a 20% service fee) and were one of two couples for the majority of our three-hour 9+ course plus wine pairing experience. The restaurant itself is in the heart of Baldwin and the decor is modern, intimate, and clean. We began the meal with a special complimentary cocktail at the bar and then were seated in a huge, plush booth complete with pillows. The food was coursed at a great pace and it was nice to be able to watch the chefs plate the dishes. The music was of a wide variety and a perfect volume. The portions are small but packed with flavor and beautifully designed. There were minimal substitutions made due to my crustacean allergy and the Vietnamese dishes were all divine. I especially loved the main course with wagyu tartar, a donut, and broth that had been made over the course of several days and I will probably dream about for awhile. My other favorites were the foie gras appetizer and sweet yet savory cheese and strawberry dessert. We even received what I believe was a bonus almond and passion fruit dessert due to our celebration which was an awesome surprise. Throughout our meal we were served food and drinks by the same hostess who initially greeted us, the two chefs preparing the main courses, and the pastry chef. They were all equally wonderful to converse with and seemed genuinely happy to be there. While serving a dessert course, my dish tipped over right before the party chef set it down and he quickly went back and brought a fresh one to ensure my experience was nothing short of excellent. We were also provided warm hand towels for every dish with a hand component. Upon paying for our wine pairing and caviar and black truffle enhancements (which were originally presented to us in a special box), we were gifted personalized envelopes with a wax seal of the restaurant's signature logo enclosed with that evenings menu and a bottle of tea to go. Despite a 20% included gratuity, we appreciated the impeccable service and were genuinely thrilled to add additional tip. It was an incredible experience and I look forward to returning next quarter when they update 90% of their menu.

The minute I walked in, the staff was very quick to attend to us and tell us about their pastry case and about the chef. He hails from Paris, France and trained under a French chef since he was 16. According to the bakery staff anyway It's very cutely decorated and there is nice instrumental music that plays through the whole bakery. They have tables for you to sit-down and order breakfast as well. So if you want to grab and go, you can. However, if you're there to enjoy and laze around with food, you can do that too. The staff was super sweet and nice and everything came out very quickly. They even offered to wrap the baguette and hold it for me until we left since I wanted to take it to go. The pastries were absolutely delicious. Very flaky, crispy, and buttery bread that pairs really nicely with the raspberry and the pistachio. I would rate it a 10/10. I think it was that good. Like hands down. The nordic quiche was also excellent and is a quiche with cheese and smoked salmon and comes with a side salad and balsamic vinegar. The nordic quiche was a 9.5/10. The latte was a 7/10. Now, the baguette. They had two different ones, one that Americans are more familiar with and one that is a classic French one. The classic French one was more crispy but softer interior. I had ordered it to go and it was a long baguette that only cost $3. I literally ate the whole thing before my day was over. Didn't even make it that long. I think we paid about $30, without tip. It was most definitely worth it. My overall rating is a 9/10 and I loved it. I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend it to everyone.
