Classic burger
Vanessa B.

A wonderful place to eat. I had ordered the classic burger and a homemade lemonade, both left me more than satisfied. The fries are what blew me away. Their warm a steamy inside and thick crispy outside was perfection, I wanted a whole plate of them instead of the burger. I felt the portion was too much, it was a quarter of the plate salad, half of the plate fries and a quater was the burger. It was overwhelming. The salad was decent, and the burger was overall average. I would come again to hang out with friends and have a nice meal for a lunch or evening bite.

Excellent beer selection

Stopped in before a thunderstorm and had a blast! Great live music, excellent, friendly service, great beer selection and fantastic poutine. Can't wait to return.

24 taps, friendly bar tender, great location and food selection. Cool wooden bar and mezzanine. Beer, wine, spirits, flatbreads, appetizers, salad, nachos, sheppard's pie, fish & chips, desserts, cafés, etc. Great Craft beer selection! Here we are again 2 years later! Still like it! Perfect on a cold Québec City evening. Live music, great friendly bartender.

Poutine

Get the poutine. The murphy poutine is delicious, the potatoes were crispy the cheese curds were soft and a little melty and the gravy was hot and savory. The staff were very kind and friendly. The food came out quickly. We came here after walking around looking for a wuick bite. The poutine was very good. We also got the nachos which were kinda good. Honestly just get the poutine. Give this place a try.

Greek salad & Poutine

The poutine was soooooo good, sauce was amazing. We also got the Greek salad which was so fresh, it had capers in it which I've never had before. We came on a Friday night so there was live music which was nice. It was extremely packed and very loud but on a snowy Quebec night this is just what we were looking for!

Delicious Fish and Chips. Nothing was wasted, no crumb left behind!

Decided to go for lunch to Murphy's on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I admit to going there mid-afternoon but there was a healthy amount of people anyways. We were seated right away in a cute corner, the staff was very friendly and efficient. We ordered drinks (bloody ceasar and Kilkenny's beer) and both took the fish and chips. The food didn't take too long and everything on our plate was delicious. Crispy hot fries, tasty salad and hot fish in a light and crunchy beer batter. The music was a good mix of american and irish and we enjoyed our visit. Pros - Delicious food: hot and fresh - Short wait (not in rush hour however) - Friendly staff - Great decor and atmosphere Cons - Beer is a bit pricey $$ - A bit pricey in general but since food was good it passes

Greek pizza, Greek salad and Blonde Microbrew

So I live in the States, but grew up in Eastern Canada and always fly in to Quebec when coming home, so I can spend time in Vieux Quebec, as my heart is tied to this city. Have passed Murphy's many times but never stopped in (ALWAYS great bands playing, but I normally travel alone, so don't normally frequent bars/pubs when alone). Queue January 6th, 2021, red Covid days, and I'm staying down the street, so stopped in for takeout. I'm in love with this place now! The food is good, their craft beer was great, the music is still awesome, but with all that I'll be back because of the people! With all the shit going on in the world, and watching the Trumpers riot Washington DC while I was waiting for my food, my heart has been heavy. But the staff were all very warm and upbeat, there was joy in the room and hope in the air, and great music filling the room. I know this is starting to sound corny, but when a place (filled with strangers) can lift your spirits when you don't think there's any way possible, you take notice. I also had a nice long conversation with the owner Jean-François, and left feeling happy, and hopeful, and reminded why I love this city so much - because of the people! So happy to see Covid hasn't taken hold of this place, and excited to hear they have plans of more local music and art to share with their customers this summer! See you all in May! Merci Beaucoup!!

Pizza and salad

Friendly service during a very slow lunch. The pizza was ok but the sauce had no flavor. It does look like it would be a fun spot during the evening when they have musicians perform.

My friend got their specialty Jameson iced tea and loved it. We shared the nachos. They were good, but dry. Service was excellent and fast. The vibe is fun and the music was good. If I could give 10 stars, I would!…read more Decided to walk from the hotel and see what the old towns had to offer. Not disappointed at all. Almost at the entry to old town they entice you with a dinner special. This place is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was perfect -- warm, welcoming, and full of energy. The staff went above and beyond, super friendly and genuinely happy to be there (which says a lot). They also spoke English which helped out a lot. Now the food... unreal. Everything we tried was bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. The beer selection. Over 200 beers on tap and in bottles -- local brews, imports, seasonal picks -- literally something for everyone. The bartender knew his stuff and even helped us find the perfect pairings for our meal. Between the amazing food, the unbeatable beer list, and the great service, this place checks every box. Definitely my new go-to spot for dinner, drinks, and good times with friends. 10/10 -- Can't wait to come back!
