The pork served with both #49 and 58 were both juicy, tender, well- seasoned with great depth of flavor and texture. We also enjoyed the 3 bean drink. Reminds me of the Filipino halo- halo. My family made reservations for noon on a Saturday and thankfully so, because the line was out the door upon arrival. We ordered a pho dac biet (#15) and bun bo hue dac biet (#24) . Come hungry, because their large bowls are massive! Their pho was so nourishing and comforting on a rainy day. Each bowl loaded with a hefty serving of meat, tendon and tripe. The herbs were incredibly fresh and even came with culantro! But the star of this meal had to be the bun bo hue; I haven't had such an amazing bun bo hue from a restaurant in a long time. The broth was beefy and loaded with tender pieces of meat, but also finally had enough of the lemongrass essence I crave for in bbh. It packed just the right amount of heat without it being overpowering or mouth-numbing. I practically licked the bowl clean at the end of the meal. My family was ecstatic to have found another spot that hits close to home for them. Flavors are impeccable and portion sizes are very generous. We already decided that we will be regulars. The broth is soooo good. If they ask if you want vegetables added, unless you want fresh brocoli and carrots in your soup, i recommend against the extra vegetables. Combo A comes with a fried imperial roll. I cut it into 4 pieces and wait a minute before eating it. I have burned the roof of my mouth because the inside is so hot. It's a byob and there are dépanneurs and an SAQ nearby so you can pick up something on the way to the restaurant. I have also had their won ton soup as a starter. The won tons are very tasty and homemade. The broth again is great. I had the chicken in peanut butter sauce with crispy spinach. I had it with rice so that it can absorb the sauce which, yes, is somewhat thin. I finished the whole thing and felt like a piggy, but a happy piggy. I've been here 4 times in the past 2 weeks, feeding my cold.
