Really beautiful new church replacing the previous one. This church is very modern, open and full of light. The Altar is very simple and so are the chairs. Beautiful artwork on the wall was made of silver colored bows and they formed a beautiful heart decoration. The church's organ upstairs was simple and the organ pipes were silver colored. You could see that instrument just by standing or sitting in the actual seating area. Nice added touch was when you entered the church from the lobby area, they had placed a simple metal round candle stand for the quests to light up a candle. I like the fact that the visitors can do that now in a Lutheran Church. This church is definitely worth visiting.

They put these characters on everything! They sell a lot of souvenirs here. Nearly everything you can think of with hippos or "Finland" stamped on the front of it is sold here. It's well organized into different sections and types/prices of items. All of the prices here are astronomically high. Outrageously expensive. I saw things that I might like to get, but instead of paying these inflated prices and lugging the stuff half-way across the globe, I just bought online. The store is clean, and all the stock is displayed well. All the shirts are impeccably folded, and the shelves are immaculately dust free. Super clean store. The location of the store is right on the Esplanade, a beautiful setting. It's amid some of the most expensive retailers in the country. They have a all-Christmas themed department in the basement. My main complaint is that they don't offer any seating, or restrooms. If you need to use the restroom, they suggest you go out, down the street to the nearest coffee shop, and buy a cup of coffee to use their restroom. I hope they don't expect me back after I leave. The service seems that they're not there to help, just to make sure that the place is not messed up by the tourists. They followed not far behind me re-straightening and readjusting items that I had picked up, then checked the price, gasped, and set back down. Overall, this place seems like a huge shop that they have at the airport selling overpriced souvenirs to clueless tourists with too many Euro.

We were here to do a Geocache, and as I love gift shops, I popped in here too…read more It's perfectly fine, a normal museum gift shop, with an obvious slant towards Helsinki but actually nothing really very exciting or unique. This is almost definitely because I was there as an English-speaking tourist though, and I think this shop - and museum - are well suited to Finnish visitors. I'm glad we went and next time I'm in Helsinki, I may well pop in again - and perhaps be more inspired to shop!

We purchased a couple of wooden Christmas ornaments as well as a wonderful selection of wood Trivets for gifts. We thought the prices were very fair. They except euros or credit cards. Highly recommend this location if you are ever in Finland and looking for some souvenirs that can be usable gifts.

I actually saw similar items at other places after this but these were nicer and the pricing not higher than other shops. Apparently they specialise in this certain kind of beaded necklace, with handmade beads. I'm not much for jewelry, though. I did come away with a lovely trivet, and left a fair few things behind that I wanted (but just didn't need). Worth popping in when you go to the Lutheran church!
