Also of course the scenery is just lovely. I liked when you walk inside it really is like a cellar (hence the name). You walk down some steps that twist and it takes you to the main downstairs bar area where the cashier is with their little pastry and drink shelf. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the little snack bites looked. There were premade sandwiches, easy for on the go. They also had a few croissants and most impressive was their beautiful cakes! You could buy a slice. I regret not getting a slice but was watching my calories for the day. The day I came through they had carrot cake, mango cake, and blueberry cake. Yum. I ended up just ordering their recommended Somersby Cider. They had apple and pear, so I went with pear. Probably one of the best non-apple flavored ciders I've had in awhile. So refreshing! But the issue is that the lockers are located in the open floor lobby and it's easy to see the large keypad password if you're seated nearby. My biggest advice is they should move the lockers to an enclosed section and switch to (like most of the other lockers we ran into) keyed lockers for security. In relation to the exhibitions - most of the lobby floor was a waste. If you're a fan of Moomin one corner area is cute, but the rest is just a basic furniture showroom, there's nothing unique or engaging about it. All in all, Designmuseo is nowhere near worth the $26 usd purchase price and I felt extremely uncomfortable leaving my bag here so overall I can't recommend it.

HAM contributes a great cultural gem for the city here, with thought-provoking and interesting works of art. They had a big exhibition on Parisian art from around the time that Picasso was painting there, showing a lot of where he got his influences. They also had a seemingly permanent exhibition of photographs of a Finnish rock quarry that has interesting sounding geological features. When we went, the top floor of the museum was off-limits due to their ongoing installation of a new exhibit. So I felt like we missed a good deal of the museum's space. The museum is easy to get around, and the artworks are titled and described in English as well as Finnish. Outside the museum, there's a cool gift shop, with reasonably priced prints, cards, and some art supplies. They even have a clearance section with cool artsy books in Finnish! The museum also contributes large scale works of art to the mall that it's located in- so check out the chandelier made from pots and pans and the other big sculptures! I was really glad to find this museum. It's got some cool stuff! The best part, was we happened to show up on half-priced day- Score!

The cardamom carrot cake and Persian special tea blend were the best! The green interior made us feel like eating in a garden. The place was suitable for kids and even my father enjoyed the good vegan food although he is a meet lover. The stuff was really friendly and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed.
