Chez Clara was an amazing choice from the selection of restaurants along the Nice Port's eastern edge. While the positive elements started with excellent port views and a handwritten menu (no pictures or English menu tourist attractions here!), the real magic came from the warm hospitality and fantastic food. Our group of three split the mixed charcuterie, the mixed seafood grill, and a bottle of (very reasonably priced) rosé for under €100 total. The seafood, cooked by the owner's daughter, was simply the freshest, must perfectly prepared seafood had in France thus far. Each selection from the mix grille (4 kinds of fish, mussels, clams, shrimp, and squid/middle stew) was prepared uniquely and bursting with flavor.
Our meal concluded with a welcome from Clara herself (pictured in front of her restaurant), providing a personal touch to an already 5 star experience.
