We stayed in one of the soaking rooms and it was wonderful. We were provided with towels and salts to use specifically for the soaking tub. The tub was conveniently located in the main room with a view of the large screen TV which also could be pulled out from the wall and angled towards the tub and bed. We were a little confused about how the tv worked since it seemed that other guests were signed in to the streaming platforms, but that was likely user error. Perhaps a little note about logging in to streaming services next to the TV might be useful for others in the future. We were also able to access live channels. The room was clean, and had a microwave and mini fridge for our leftovers after eating out or for small grocery items from CalMart. The location is great and a short walk to downtown Calistoga. We were provided with robes at check in which were useful for the hot tubs and pools. There are two mineral water hot tubs of different temperatures and one large mineral pool for swimming. There are showers and changing rooms available in the pool area as well. They provided bicycles and helmets that we could take to ride during the desk hours. We would definitely stay here again.

It's 106 degrees per staff for the hottest pool, 103 for the second hottest, the 2 remaining pools (coolest is the large pool for swimming and second coolest is the adjacent small side pool) decrease in temperature from there. My partner likes the wet and dry saunas in the winter, and I see many folks going into the cold plunge afterwards. My favorite spot to relax is the single tubs on the upper patio, as I enjoy looking at the trees in the daytime and stars at night.

My mom has been coming here since she was a teenager, and we've carried through the tradition every summer. My husband and I love Hill House so much that when my wedding was cancelled during Covid, we eloped here in 2021. This stay has left such a bitter taste.. Lounging by the pool, my family and I were eating some pretzels and despite the other friendly staff passing by and checking in on us, Dylan stopped to tell us to put away our pretzels (obviously, because they want to capitalize on selling you food - fine). But his demeanor was so unfriendly and condescending. So we ordered poolside drinks and food with another friendly waiter, and unfortunately Draconian Dylan brought our food and told us that now our speaker wasn't allowed (even though it had been on the whole time with low volume, and there was no one there [see attached photo for emptiness]). Why go out of your way to ruin a family vacation when we're not bothering any one? Anyway, stay at the Bungalows of Calistoga across the street (so cute!) or Carneros (better pool! better views! better service! AMAZING cottages! and Domaine Carneros across the street for champagne tasting! All YES!) It's funny how one person can really ruin an entire day, and even an entire era of loyalty .. Train your staff better when you have families paying a lot of money to be here.

After locking up your belongings you will proceed to the waiting area where you will be greeted by your therapist. There are 2 pools in the family area and a jacuzzi. There is one adult pool, nextdoor. I would have loved to give this spa 5 stars, but the steam room was under construction and there isn't an entry from the spa to the pool area. The pools are in the center of the hotel property. Also disappointed that the spa robes don't have pockets.

They have a co ed waiting area for when you're ready for your massage or you have to go to the waiting area in your locker room so your technician can find you. I find it easiest to call and book an appointment over the phone. They're open until 7pm and if you have a service you have in and out privileges all day.

My body was tired and achey, and this was just what I needed. You valet park in the hotel's front circle - it's free valet but bring cash to tip! The spa is just off of the front drive/circle. Check in in the pretty spa reception area where they sell clothing, accessories, skincare, and more. And then you're escorted to the changing/waiting area. The entire spa is neutral / earth tones...a beautiful and peaceful aesthetic. I was assigned a locker with a plush robe and slippers. Then had the opportunity to shower or use the steam room, or just relax on the beautiful lounge chairs in the zen-like waiting room. My massage started with a choice of aromatherapy body oil (mine included cinnamon and rosemary and something else), and then a singing bowl/chime. Imagine a warm bed, warm blanket, elevated head and lower legs/feet. Cozy relaxation! It ended with chimes and a shooter of house-made, nourishing green juice! My masseuse came right on time and took me to a cozy room where my husband and I pretty much melted away for the next hour. Our therapists were both excellent, and very present the entire time. He had the hot stone add on, and I had deep tissue work. After our massage, our therapists brought us each a delicious green juice shooter. I called to make an appointment for this birthday and owner, Jin, was super responsive and communicative. We scheduled a 75 min hot stone massage, but when I chatted with Lillie about areas of the body to focus on, she customized the massage to my needs and didn't end up using the hot stones, other than a few as heating elements to rest on my body. She and Jin were so kind to adjust the price down as the massage I got was a bit cheaper. As a fitness instructor, I love anatomy and learning about the human body. Lillie is beyond knowledgeable, and super passionate about what she does. I told her that I sometimes get tension between my eyes and she explained that it could come from my eyeglass prescription being slightly off, or it could come from jaw tension and tension in my neck and pectoral muscles! Fascinating! It all makes sense. Loved Lillie's energy and her balance of gentle and firm massage. This sweet spa is conveniently located in downtown Healdsburg, across from the Police Station, just tucked down an alley. The space was clean and peaceful. I can't wait to go back! I won't wait another year, that's for sure!
