    Front Gate of CFD

I have been attending CFD since I was a little kid, tent camping in the parking lot then moving up to hotel "camping" as an adult. Sadly in 2020, due to covid, Cheyenne was forced to cancel CFD. This was the first time in 124 years that the "Largest Outdoor Rodeo" didn't go on. As a minimum substitute they organized the Big Daddy Rodeos which were small venue shows that were nice fillers, but I miss the day shows, the concerts and the hundreds of vendors. I am SO looking forward to 125th, in 2021!

My daughter who uses a wheelchair for mobility has always looked forward to her CFD days and concerts. This year however seating changed and the VIP section with bar height seating was placed in FRONT of the accessible section leaving people with disabilities without a view of the stage, just a great view of a lot of people seating in front of them.

We were visiting Boulder, CO and decided to drive up to Cheyenne on a whim for the rodeo. WOW! This was my first rodeo...literally! We had such an incredible time watching the events and then attending the carnival afterwards. This is a must see event!

My neighbors would spend most nights in Cheyenne at the concerts. We arrived at Cheyenne Frontier Days early in the morning, parking a little ways away and being taken in by bus. There were photo opportunities (like with different bull riders), carnival rides, dancing, beer gardens, the Indian Village. We also had PRCA rodeo tickets (about $17 each) and unassigned seating in the shade. For the number of hours of entertainment it was a pretty good deal- bareback, saddle bronc, roping, barrel racing, bull riding, steer wrestling. Minus, the bacon wrapped everything (corn, hot dogs), I felt like food options were a little lacking. Ended up with a grilled chicken breast sandwich for $7 and my first time trying fried Oreos (don't judge me). My mom kept comparing it to the New Mexico State Fair, and was saying CFD didn't have as much to offer. There were displays and contests from local businesses, and even a chance to try the bamboozled jelly bean game. By about 2 or 3 o'clock, we had pretty much already seen everything, although it was an enjoyable day overall. I would love to come back just to see Luke Bryan perform

Great arena for concerts! I'm from out of state, and this was my first time here. I was surprised at how large the area was, it was a bit confusing to try and figure out where I needed to go, and to my dismay, the employees all seemed like they hated their jobs and like I was just a nuisance when asking for directions. Probably should choose another career path if they can't be customer service oriented! Lady selling lemonade was very friendly and the lady who checked my bag at the entrance for the standing area was very friendly, and even helped me carry my belongings when I was spilling everything trying to empty my drink into a plastic cup. Parking was a nightmare so we ended up paying some guy to leave our truck in his backyard, but I'm glad I was able to make it work and meet my idol!

I went to 2 concerts here for Frontier Nights ... within a 4 day period. The first impressions that pop into my head are 1) Excellent security 2) Don't make people wait to enter for their seating ...both nights this happened and the "waiting area" got too clogged and people were drunk and combative 3) Fun 4) Restroom issues. Our first night - 3 drunk people pushed their way into our "zone" and started fighting. Security swooped in within seconds and removed them. #thankyou #boom . I'll keep it short. We were admitted through our entry area, and then "held" in an area before entering to our "party zone". We were held here forever. It piled up. People on horseback were supposed to lead us through, it was a $::t show. I did not feel safe. Yayyy! Always fun. Great entertainment. Thank you! Final comment ... the women's restroom was full of barf and nasty nasty stuff. Women were waiting in line to use the toilets, most of which were inhumane and beyond disgusting. #gross #youcandobetter .... Management needs to address this. Cheyenne Frontier Nights is supposed to be better than this. Enough said. Will I go back? Hell yeah. Do I want to use the restrooms? Hell no. Stay tuned for next year ... I'll be back. Hopefully I won't need to pee!

Amazing experience at the rodeo! Saw the Kane Brown concert and went on some carnival rides!

OK, I only have two words for you and that is: HOT COWBOYS. hmmm wait - while thats good it just isnt enough. How's HOT COWBOYS RIDING GIANT ANGRY ANIMALS. Animals as big, ugly and mean as Perez Hilton - you want to try that? Yeah, thats what I thought. Thats why these guys are PROS. Ahh, forget it. I thought the HOT COWBOY thing would be enough (and for me, oh my yes it is! *fans self with paper*) but there is SO MUCH MORE. Like the Behind the Chutes Tour, kettle corn, Native American costume dancing, costumed actors, hand made saddles, root beer on tap, history museum, chuckwagon cookoff, air show, steerbucks coffee, acrobatic horse riders, carnival rides, turquoise jewelry, outdoor concerts, pancake breakfasts and the friendliest, happiest people ever under a giant, gorgeously blue sky? Uh yes please! That plus a second helping, thanks! If it can please this high maintenance, New England raised, english saddle riding Chicago resident, then by god there is something for everyone. There is a reason it's called "the daddy of 'em all"!

The rodeo and the Indian dancing are really the highlights here. Lots of food options, neat selection of vendors, rodeo was first class. The Indian dancing was informational and very cool. **Definitely get seats on the side of the rodeo with the chutes (pricier option). The behind the scenes views of the Cowboys and the rodeo animals was worth the extra charge.** There's a discount option 4 tickets, four meals, a free poster. Look into it. Largest outdoor rodeo I've ever seen.

Frontier days is the one time each year that the otherwise quiet city of Cheyenne gets to shine. The whole city is a bustle with all the tourists that come from all over the world to see the world class rodeo and concerts. The venue where all this action takes place is called Frontier Park, a gigantic outdoor arena which serves as the rodeo during the day and hosts concerts at night, outside the area is a carnival with games, rides, food and souvenir vendors galore plus many many more. Other aspects of frontier days are multiple parades, featuring beauty pageants winners from all over the world, free pancake breakfasts, a gunslinger shootout and a old western frontier village which features native american tribes dancing ritual dances and many other things to see and enjoy.

Even without it though, it's a great price for what you get! There is so much to do and explore here! The music section is definitely a favorite as you get to test out so many instruments! Everything was well maintained (minus one or two exhibits that weren't functioning at the time). The toddler area is great for the little ones to be separate. Personally, I was absolutely stoked for the shadow wall - it's just a fun/silly thing to do. When we ventured upstairs we didn't realize there was a theater until a staff member asked if we were there to see the show. Since we had to get going, I asked if I could peak in real quick to check it out and he was totally fine with it. It looks so cool! We will definitely be back to catch a show in the future.
