My husband, toddler and I came here 2 days ago and had a very nice experience. We were greeted by another kind customer when walking in. He generously paid for our admission. He was a member at this museum. I've never had such a random act of KINDNESS before. The museum is big. Lots of carriages that are very well kept. Many photos and historic information. It was quite empty when we came in, perhaps due to covid. But it was actually nice because our toddler just ran around the whole thing. Didn't have to worry too much about him :) The gift shop was great and full of fun souvenirs. Got myself a warm fuzzy zip up vest on clearance for $20. Score! Parking is free. The staff are all friendly and welcoming.

This was so educational. We walked around and were able to see so many amazing things. They have the third largest carriage collection. Many different things and a great place to spend some time. We were only planning on being there for an hour, and next thing we know it was over an hour and a half. We would love to go back and see everything else they have.

Super friendly staff. Little gem of a museum. Take the time to stop. Great exhibits and amazing art show.

Went here on 12/11/24. First time here. We live in Denver so we were looking for 'museums'…read moreoutside the city. And we love going to Fort Collins for other stuff. They have a good size Kid Zone. Then they have the history of Fort Collins. Then, I believe, they have a rotating exhibit. At the time was all about Skin. On humans and animals. It was fascinating. Then the best part was the music area. So much interaction! It was great! Definitely recommend. Will definitely be here again.

There is so much to do and explore here! The music section is definitely a favorite as you get to test out so many instruments! Everything was well maintained (minus one or two exhibits that weren't functioning at the time). The toddler area is great for the little ones to be separate. Personally, I was absolutely stoked for the shadow wall - it's just a fun/silly thing to do. When we ventured upstairs we didn't realize there was a theater until a staff member asked if we were there to see the show. Since we had to get going, I asked if I could peak in real quick to check it out and he was totally fine with it. It looks so cool! We will definitely be back to catch a show in the future.

What a wonderful surprise. I had a day to spend exploring Fort Collins…read more The Avery House is a great way to step back in history and learn about the people and families that came before us. The lovely ladies that guide you room by room through the house know the history and have great stories to tell. The architecture of the house is very interesting and the fact that the original details and furnishings are still there is incredible.

The house itself is stunning; having been beautifully restored to Victorian splendour, it's charmingly reflective of the way its former residents would have lived. But it's the docents who are the real stars here - they're a group of incredibly passionate, lovely people who take every group of visitors around to introduce them personally to both Avery House, and the history of Fort Collins as a city. We especially enjoyed being able to explore and ask questions about all the small details in the house, from the furnishings to the lifestyles and stories behind every item. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone living in, visiting or passing through Fort Collins for how it lets you take a great look at one of the most interesting portions of the city's past.
