I am posting my original reviews in Yelp because the public needs to know who Lochavens Rottweilers…read morereally are: SecondRate Google apparently blocked my EVIDENCE BASED RESPONSE-W PHOTOS & TEXT MSGS directly Frm Kevin Sidwel's phone that contradicts his posted claims & lies: REVIEW #1: POSTED ON LOCHAVENS ROTTWEILERS GOOGLE BUSINESS PAGE 4/26 BAIT & SWITCH DEALER: UNTRUSTWORTHY Kevin Sidwell changed the price of "my puppy" 3 specific -evidenced times in the course of the purchase. All the worse, as when I first called him: I immediately told him I was not looking for a puppy nor could I afford one of his puppies. From offering me a "free" puppy on the evening I called; then requiring $500 when the puppies were 3 weeks old (claiming I needed to secure my position to select a puppy): then demanding $2000 dollars the evening before he had scheduled the puppy pick up at 5 weeks 6 days old. This breeder is a liar and a cheat. Note: I called him (having followed his Kennel for over 2 decades) and specifically asked if he had or knew of young adult Rottweilers needing rehoming as I had just lost my mobility Rottweiler to a tragic accident. Note2: I have all the text messages from Sidwell -I'll will post -I just didn't know how to attach them here. I am 70 years old. REVIEW (2) RESPONSE TO LOCHAVENS ROTTWEILERS KEVIN SIDWELL's GOOGLE BUSINESS PAGE REPLY TO REVIEW #1 (above) I am writing to provide an evidence-based account regarding Mr. Sidwell's recent response to my Google Business Review. While I intended for a concise resolution, the inaccuracies presented in his narrative make it necessary to share the documented facts to ensure the safety of other families and their pets. The evidence provided contradicts Mr. Sidwell's claims of professionalism and compassion and Protestants that are illegal m federal, stateDespite legal requirements, my puppy, Luke, and his littermates were transported at only six weeks of age. Furthermore, I was pressured to take possession of Luke by September 7th, prior to the standard eight-week mark. Regarding Luke's health, Mr. Sidwell failed to provide professional evidence of veterinary care or vaccinations. The only documentation provided was a handwritten note on a generic form lacking a professional signature. Consequently, despite receiving professional vaccinations and treatment upon entering my care, Luke tragically passed away from Canine Distemper, Parvovirus, and a severe parasite infestation. Further, Mr. Sidwell has recently engaged in personal attacks in a public medium regarding my character, cultural background and financial circumstances rather than addressing these serious health and safety concerns. He has also made contradictory claims regarding the pricing and "of the puppy. Furthermore, although Sidewell claims a motivation of compassion with regards to refunding my $500 deposit and the first of 10 contract payments he developed the day before I was scheduled to pick up Luke --- this refund was dependent upon me - deleting my Google Review on his Google Business Page: 4 weeks before he hosted a German Rottweiler VIP (Oliver) therefore, he motivation was not compassionate but his desire not to be inconvenienced. As he initially offered to return my money after Luke's death; but refused to do so unless I remove my initial Google Review. I believed him when he promised to start anew. I am sharing this documentation to ensure transparency and to protect other potential owners from similar experiences. Thank you for your time and for considering the facts of this matter.

My wife, daughter and 2 month old grandbaby visited Kevin and Lochaven last October. Owners Kevin…read moreand Jobie introduced us to his male dogs with strict instruction not to try to pet them, citing a past incident with Pan and what he said was an overzealous customer. Both dogs were brought out individually on a leash. Pan came out first, he was fixated on his ball, not social at all. We were reminded again not to try to pet him. Shadow came out next, he had a very aggressive temperament staring aggressively at my daughter and granddaughter who my daughter was holding prompting Owner Jobie to say to my daughter, glad he is focused on you because he is usually focused on me. She said she doesn't deal with the older male dogs she only deals with the puppies. Next dog was a Female who was very sweet and social, we were allowed to pet her. Regrettably, we put down a deposit for future litter and signed a contract. Several weeks later we were told Pan and Ivy II were to be our litter in May. We told Kevin we were concerned about our granddaughter's safety and wanted to talk to the owners of Pan's puppies about his temperament. Over the months to come we made several requests to Kevin to provide names of owners who have puppies from Pan. We were trying to mitigate our concern over Pan's aggression and lack of socialization shown when we met him. We had serious concern over our baby granddaughter's safety around Pan's offspring. For months Kevin stonewalled us and would not provide us with contact information making the excuse he wanted to wait until the puppies were born and said he did not know if the people would talk to us. Considering the original in person visit where we weren't allowed to pet Pan, coupled with Kevin's failure to provide contact information regarding past litters of Pan we felt this was a huge red flag. We felt it was an unsafe environment for my granddaughter; thus I cancelled my purchase and asked Kevin to return my deposit. On April 14, prior to birth of the puppies, during my phone conversation with Kevin, he AGREED TO RETURN MY DEPOSIT. (Kevin further added that the litter from Pan and Ivy was most likely a "false pregnancy" so there were NO puppies.) He requested my Venmo which he was given; however, the deposit was NEVER RETURNED AS PROMISED. My wife and I have called, emailed, and texted numerous times after Kevin broke our verbal contract; however, he has failed to respond. One of his numbers goes right to voicemail and the other says his mailbox is full. If you purchase a dog from Kevin beware of his business practices and be very aware of the temperament his males. On a side note, we have owned 3 Rottweilers and have had Rottys in our life for over 30 years. I should have known better when we weren't allowed to pet Pan and the aggression showed by Pan and Shaddow I should have never put down a deposit in the first place. Kevin will probably say how excited we were and how we thought the dogs were beautiful, all true however I would have never guessed that Kevin would have conducted himself in the manner in which he has ! His refusal to provide contact info for past clients and his refusal to return my deposit as promised/agreed. Kevin broke our VERBAL CONTRACT. Kevin business practices are completely dishonest and 100% unprofessional. It should also be noted there is another past review by "JH" that talks about the temperament of Kevin's male dogs. Kevin's current litter is from Shadow. Shadow was very aggressive toward my daughter and grandbaby. Please do your due diligence and research before purchasing a puppy from Shadow especially if you have small children.

Before we found our new family member at Goldendoodles Utah, I did a lot of research on the breed…read moreand then on the breeders. I was quite impressed with the testimonials given about Goldendoodles Utah that I found on the internet. Now I see why I saw so many positive remarks. First, let me say that their professional kennel is quite impressive. The whole family seems to pitch in. (Although mom is the professional Breeder) the facility was immaculate on a huge "doggy farm". You know, like the one you always heard about as a kid, upstate where your beloved pet went to go frolic with other dogs in a wide open doggy paradise....haha. But this one is actually real. They have all their Dams onsite and some if not all the Sires. It's anything but a puppy mill. This is a pro Breeder who is selective in who she sells to. You have to sign a contract, and in that contract you have to promise to never give your dog to a shelter for any reason, but to take them back to GU to be "rehomed". These dogs are the top of the top as far as health, intelligence, physicality and of course care. They see the vet more times before you take them home than most humans see the doctor in 10 years. They get shots, exams, dew claw removal hip assessment, you name it. This dedication to excellence has made her lines absolutely phenomenal. My puppy is incredibly smart. And of course gorgeous! They have you leave them something you have worn with your scent on it at selection day 2 weeks before you pick them up. So they are familiar with you before you get them. The Breeder who has interviewed you to find out what type of dog you are looking for as well as what your lifestyle is, introduces you to pups she thinks would be a great match. She knows their personalities as she socializes them closely before you get there. That requires her to know her pups. Of course you can choose whatever available pup you want to, but the Breeder gives a great recommendation. For us, it was perfection! That is why I am writing this review. I couldn't be more grateful. From the beginning of the process until you are driving home with your new family member, the process at Goldendoodles Utah is about the best one you could hope for. They even send you home with a blanket that mom and sibs slept on so they feel comfortable for the first few nights. It makes a difference. A big one. If you are looking for the best Goldendoodles in Salt Lake City, or even if you are out of state, I couldn't say enough good things about this Goldendoodle family. As you can tell, I tried! Haha
