Well-lit gas station, tons of space for wide and long vehicles to turn around and get gas.

Was in the area and couldn't when I passed by this gas station . Needed gas so ok let's stop by. Gas prices are really high here. See pic . Probably .21c higher than the Mobil off the freeway . They have a car wash as well as a nice mart . They're in same plaza as drive thru Starbucks . This gas station partners with vons so have your vons club number ready in case there are discounts associated . It didn't work today but seen it work before . I didn't like the gas pumps . The screen and keyboard were difficult . Also it prompts you for so much info (zip, car wash , vons #, receipt , etc). Plus , no receipt ever printed ! I'm usually oblivious to gas prices (granted, my fault) so I stopped here without looking at the prices. It wasn't until it was done that I noticed it was $3.35 per gallon FOR THE CHEAP STUFF!! My first thought was 'wow, gas prices went up a lot recently' but as I drove further down Sycamore after filling up, I noticed there was another Chevron no more than a mile away and their price was $3.09 (there is also a 7-11 there with gas for $3.01 but for this review, I wanted to compare apples to apples). Anyways, there's no excuse for a 26¢ per gallon price difference within a mile for the same brand gas. To add insult to injury, I pressed the button for a receipt and it said it printed but lo and behold, there was no receipt. As others have pointed out, the pumps are old and run down and the screens are so scratched, they are barely readable. I will avoid this station like the plague from now on and drive the extra mile (if that) for the one further down Sycamore or save even more and hit that 7-11. read more

I'm not sure why I choose to go to this station more often than others. It's in the opposite direction of all the other places I'm a regular at but yet, I find myself here weekly. I suppose it's because this Chevron is never busy, priced lower than others around, it's very open, well lit and is always clean. I've rarely need to go into the market but when I have, the workers here are always quick and pleasant. I have yet to use their car wash and probably wont because it's not touchless but I've heard great things about it. Still my favorite gas station even if I have to go 2 miles out of my way...worth it and I never have to wait for a pump. I'm certainly a fan of that! read more

One of my favorite places to stop. It's on a corner which is convenient and you can get to it easily no matter what direction you're traveling. There are many pumps and rows, so i never have to wait for a spot to pull in. The area is very clean and usually quiet. The store is a good size. It is also located next to a Starbucks! read more

Sure, this isn't the cheapest gas around; but there are a lot of pumps, a clean well stocked convenience store, and one of my favorite automated car washes in the area. I think a few of the past reviews have this Chevron confused with one further north on Melrose - this station is large, well lit at night, and has an updated drive through car wash that is reasonably priced. If you're in the area and need gas and a wash, stop by - don't forget, they are around the corner from a handful of fantastic local breweries, which is also a bonus. read more

Gas is always priced higher here than the surrounding area gas stations so, I only purchase the petrol early in the morning before a road trip or if I am running on fumes. A few good things about stations with high gas prices: #1 They are always empty - no wait! #2 You can wash all the windows on your car and never feel rushed. #3 If you want to fill-up your gas tank entirely, there is no one honking as you pump+click 65 times in a row till gas pours out of your tank onto the concrete #3a No guilty or shameful feeling when the gas spills out of your triumphant, "Definitely-effin-filled to the max" tank #3b Why would you fill-up at an expensive gas station? Good point, but it's my list #4 It's quiet, you can hear the tick-ticking of your engine and exhaust system contracting as you wait #5 Can ignite the streaming gas out of the nozzle with a lighter like that scene in Point Break (this one may get you arrested and or possibly killed) read more

If you are looking to get your car washed on your lunch break -- DO NOT go here. I have been here all of two times. Both times I was late coming back to work. It should not take a freaking hour to wash my car, especially when I am buying the cheapest car wash available. The guys that wash the cars move slower than any car wash employees I have ever seen. Aren't you supposed to be speedy at that so you please your customers? I started talking to some other customers about how I had been waiting so long, and they all acted like this was the norm. One person even said, "Yeah, you can't be in a rush if you want to come here." Well that doesn't work out so well for me. I will never get my car washed here again. And on a side note, when I told the first guy that I wanted the least expensive car wash, he let out an audible scoff/sigh of frustration. And on a final side note, when I got back into my car after work and looked in the backseat... I found a freaking Playboy magazine in my backseat... what the f??? If you live near Sycamore/Melrose you know this is the only gas station for a few miles. You would think with it's open layout and amenities it would be more popular. Well with gas prices generally 5-10 cents more expensive than down the street, no ice and expensive cigarettes I find this place useless. My 4 most purchased things from a gas station. Gas, cigarettes, ice and sports drinks, all just more expensive than counterparts. Sure they are an extra mile or 2 down the road, but come on Chevron, I thought you were a nationally competitive brand. It's a gas station so the bathroom is pretty bad and the service can be suspect. If only it wasn't so close to my good friends house and Iron Fist I could easily go without it. read more

It is the most poorly maintained Chevron station that I visit. The card readers at the pumps are often not working and you have to go inside. Receipt printer paper is often empty. read more

Don't go here if you want to vacuum your car. I spent 1.75 for 2min. I usually wouldn't complain about spending 1.75 but the first 30-45 seconds was the machine turning on. I got one car seat done and partially did a half of cup holder area. There was no sign on the machine saying how long each session last and I tried to get my money back but was denied. I love this place! Great customer service, restrooms very clean. You can feel the good vibe at this place. They have 12 pumps with diesel and big lot for trucks! I stop by years ago and I can tell they invest money in this place! New faces with smiles and nice 1 minute conversations with the cashiers since I come back to live around here. I frequent this station because it is much lower priced than the other Chevron located on Melrose closer to 78. BUT, last night was the 2nd time in a month that it's been closed and roped off. This station is not exactly on the way home so it's been frustrating to drive out of my way and not be able to gas up. What's up Chevron?! read more

Alright, it is a gas station. I dont know that I have a lot of insight on the topic. Especially because I am a pump and go kinda gal. So I haven't used their restrooms or really looked around their "shop" area. I suppose they would have the usual faire. They do have an automatic car wash and they are right by a DRIVE THRU Starbucks which is helpful for when i am running late almost outta gas and need a main line of caffeine without being late to work again....oh and I don't care that the gas will be over priced. I personally never get gas from here. I go to Costco, much cheaper. But I always get my car wash here. They're car wash service is excellent. They do a very detailed job, and your car will look immaculate. read more

Avoid this run down place. Three or four of their at-pump credit card readers are busted and have been for weeks. One or two pumps are also out of commission. And they are more expensive than nicer gas stations that are close by. They lost my business. read more

Quite possibly the worst gas station ever. 9 out of 10 times there is no receipt paper and half the time the card readers don't work. Every time I complain I am just told that the maintenance person will be called, but nothing ever changes. I would avoid this place. read more

So first off this gas station is located in a great place, from Starbucks, pick up stix and seconds away from the 78 freeway. I would NEVER put gas here because I swear gas is like .25-.50 cents more than any other chevron yet alone other gas stations around. But the reason why I love and come here is for the car wash, $20 for the regular vacuum, car wash and to be wiped down and $40 for all the above plus waxing (which I get and love). They thoroughly vacuum my car,shines it up, and keeps the rims blinging. I will say on a busy day U might be expected to wait a little longer than usual but worth every minute and penny. Be sure to tip the car detailers good because they work hard. read more

Ok so I seriously frequent this place...no really, it's quite depressing. Not for anything the Chevron station is doing wrong but because of the amount of gas my guzzler requires which is neither here nor there. So back to the station. Location is great with multiple and easy entrances, a car wash off in the corner and it opens into a parking lot with a sad but pretty Mexican restaurant and a Fourbucks...aka, Starbucks. The small store is always clean and staffed with very friendly and personable cashiers. They are attentive and take an interest on the customer. There is an ATM in the store but I am unsure of there is a restroom. Ok now to the only bad thing about the place. Several of the pumps have broken credit card slots so you cannot pay at the pump. And I think this is a legal issue but none of the state inspection stickers are intact so there is no way of telling If the pumps have been tampered with. Other than that be real watchful of cars flying through the lot as the open space lends itself well to ignant. Yes, IGNANT people pulling 4 g's in a parking lot. Gas prices here are much lower than they are closer to the coast and the fact that it's a top tier gasoline is great. I have access to the base and gas typically only one to three cents cheaper on base. I think it's worth the 17 to 45 cents more per tank to get a top tier gasoline. This station is my go to gas station. U won't be disappointed. read more

Monday-I used to go to the carwash here but now I go to others. They do do a good job but they are NOT quick and are pricy. The last straw was today when it clearly wasnt busy and as I pulled up the attendant took his time (im being fair when I say took his time) and finally greeted me he proceeded to tell me that if I want a regular wash it will be 35-40 min.
