This review is for the SOAPY JOES located at the Chevron. Well there's soapy water and complimentary air fresheners as is typical but other than that... wayyyy too crowded. The vacuums are at 50% - meaning every other possible nozzle does not have a hose. Not only are they lacking in number of hoses, the ones they do have in working order perform as enthusiastically as a after wife 20 years of marriage. Come here if you need to wash some annoying bird crap off your car but try to come at an off hour. read more

This seems a bit sketchy, this place is charging almost a dollar more for gas than anywhere else in the area. They also have different price for cash versus cards, no way they are charged almost a dollar per gallon more for credit card usage. There is a place across the street that is cheaper but the location makes it tough to get to and you would need to pull u turns and siting in traffic to get across the street. However, there are several places in the area that are easy to get to and less than a mile away. No idea how this isn't price gouging but trust they are operating within the law. But my suggestion is to drive a mile or so more and save yourself $10 or more on your fill-up. With the savings you can get some awesome food in 4s center just down the street. I feel like such an idiot. I filled up my tank today here and didn't look at the price. As others have stated it is $1 more per gallon than the Chevron just down the road in Rancho Bernardo, at most a mile away. I noticed when I had finished pumping the gas and the screen said $100. . It's my fault of course for not looking at the price, but I came here because I use the soapy joes car wash and am happy with the service at the car wash. Never EVER get gas here. read more

Very comfortable for women who need to put some gas at night, because is one of the best lighted gas stations in the area, and Rancho Bernardo tend to be extremely dark at night. They have done a good job in the renovation area, so much more space and clean lines. Also I use their car wash, which is only $5 for the "Average Joe" deal if you buy the gas there. It is also very convenient as is so closely located next to many companies and also medical center in RB. read more

This place has been remodeled so it a lot nicer than before. The set up inside is a lot better than before. They added more floor space and added more windows and lighting. I have not been through the new car wash yet but they added more amenities for cleaning your car after washing. read more

I was charged a higher price per gallon than what was advertised and what was listed on the pump.

The gas station itself is very clean and there are a lot of pumps so you don't have to sit around in line waiting for gas forever. However, the price of gas here was more expensive than most other gas stations. What normally costs me $25 to fill up my gas tank at most gas stations, cost me $40 here. I won't ever come here to fill up gas again however the only nice thing is there is a soapy joe's car wash so i will come back for only the car wash. read more

I fill up my car here 99% of the time because 1) it's Chevron with Techron (whatever that means), but mostly 2) it's conveniently only five minutes from my house. I believe the gas here is of good quality, as most Chevrons are, or at least believed to be. I can't really tell, except for the fact that my engine hasn't blown up yet. One time, I almost got free gas here too. Well, $1 worth. Someone was paying with cash inside and the cashier accidentally put it under my pump instead of his. When I initially saw the free credit, I immediately assumed whoever was here before didn't use up all of his money (what a fool!). I got the slightest squeeeeze out of the pump until THE MAN shut it down. He also came out and told me I have to pay for the petty, tiny, insignificant $1 worth of gas. Always getting gas here is just wonderful. What else can you ask for when 711 got all chips, slurpees, Arizona iced teas, you can stuff your face with, while you get quality gas. Man that's just pure enjoyment for anyone. Then after you can get a car wash at soapy joes! Like say what? They use magic potion, and what station has magic? The only one I know of is probably in Harry potter, so I have to say, hop on this gas station whenever you can! This place is a complete rip-off... you can save 30 cents a gallon IF you buy a car wash, but it's still 60 cents a gallon more than the gas station across the street... the gas station guy can't answer questions about the car wash, and the car wash guy can't answer questions about the gas... I knocked off a couple stars because their advertising of gas prices are deceptive, the lit up display for gas is only applicable if you purchase a car wash to receive a 20 cent per gallon discount. There is a barely noticeable small unlit sign below showing the price of gas without the car wash option. Also, you occasionally have to go inside the 711 when the pump doesn't register your discount when you choose to get the car wash. read more

I came to this car wash after driving cross country, so I understand the bugs may be tricky to clean but I was very dissatisfied from the quality of the car washes at Chevron. I first purchased the $7 wash and it hardly got any bugs off, I explained this to one of the workers and he kindly have me another for free, but it didn't help. He said the next time I come in I had to get the more expensive wash. A few days later I purchased the $15 wash and there is still so many bugs all over my car. Just signed up for monthly unlimited car washes! How can you beat $15 for any day, anytime 5 min car washes?! I not only get to drive through while sitting in my own air conditioned car but I also get to use the vacuums and towels for free at the end!! Not to mention, the attendant, Devon, went out of his way to make sure I was set up in their system so I could conveniently drive through next time :) He was so awesome!! I've paid up to $45 for my car to be washed at various places. While waiting up to an hour in the heat. But here, no way, I have my little sticker and drive right through. I can vacuum it if I want and dry it with towels or just let it air dry and drive away! Love this place! My car is going to be sparkling from now on!! read more

This is generally a great gas station, and the car wash is spectacular with very good facilities for vacuuming and cleaning your car after an external wash. However, they advertise the gas price with the car wash included on their big light sign. The correct price is on a smaller non-lighted sign at ground level. This is deceptive advertising, and may be illegal under California statutes. This makes them look like they are just a bit more expensive than the gas station near by, when they are in fact much more expensive. read more
