Probably the sketchiest gas station especially at night. Like some previous reviews stated, pretty much a crabshoot which pump works. Had an incident where I pulled up on my motorcycle to fill up, and was having issue with using tab to pay. A guy claiming to be an employee working there pulls up aggressively next to me, and says he prepaid for the pump that I've been using (while im still at the pum) and claims that I owe him money. Joe K and I will occasionally drive to Natomas during particular shopping excursions. This time I let my gas get too low and we soon found ourselves in desperate need. We spotted this station while driving down Truxel Rd., and thought it would be an easy entrance, but come to find out there was no way to access it from the direction we were coming. After driving a few more blocks to circle back, we eventually found this weird side street behind California Fitness. I wasn't even sure if this road would bring us to the station until we got a closer view of the Chevron. Then as we finally entered, this narrow street led us into the station itself. There seemed to be only one way in or out! Once we arrived, it was like any other Chevron gas station that one would expect. Plenty of pump access, with maneuvering space, Extra Mile convenience store, and even a McDonald's. The prices were high here, and the gas pump we were at, was hard to read because it was all scratched up! McD/Chevron Get your food and gas to go. Nice and clean location, right off the busy strip. The pumps are under a large covering to keep you protected from the rain and well lit for the occasional driver out on a late run. The food mart and McDonald's is a diagonal stroll from the pumps or if you are so inclined, feel free to pump your gas, roll through the car wash and then exit right out into the drive-thru lane for one order of soft serve and a small french fry. read more

I mean, it's a Chevron, what can you expect? The convenience store attached is quite varied in products and is connected to a McDonald's for an easy gas and go situation. The pumps outside take debit or credit, offer car washes and even lotto tickets. No need to walk in for that $2 quick pick anymore! Prices here are generally reasonable and in line with the rest of the region. Entrance and exit are easy to maneuver and when leaving you aren't forced to turn one way or another on Truxel like many exits in the area. Do you seriously want to know what I think?? 1. Faulty pumps that don't work (all the time) 2. Having to go in and pay cash (all the time) 3. Not having cash readily on hand (sorry I don't keep $50 on hand 24/7 to fill my tank up with gas!!) and having to use the conveniently ATM located inside to withdraw $$ to fill the gas tank up. 4. Having to pay the service charge at the ATM to pay cash to fill my gas tank Why are your pumps always down??? I've been there 3 times (over 2 months time) and they are ALWAYS broken! After having to pull $$ from your ATM (if not I would have been stranded) once , I learned my lesson. The other 2 times I just left and went somewhere else. Why should I pay ATM fees when you can just get your pumps fixed?? Is this just a plot to not have to pay credit card usage fees to save money? Is that why you ask for CASH ONLY? Even though this places appears to have a lot of maneuvering room for traffic, It's squeezed into the the very end of a plot with a full service McDonalds and convenience store all attached. I've seen people run up on the center divided trying to get into the station (very tight turn off Truxel Rd.) The drive thru for McDonalds is even more challenging if you have a full size SUV or Van. Now, let's get to one of my pet peeves. I don't mind tight area for in/out because the area for the gas pumps has LOTS of room. Ridiculously wide lanes (and that's good). But, when it comes to cleaning my window, I believe there needs to be a certain level of some type of cleaning agent in the water. Well, this Chevron not only thinks you can clean your windows with black colored water (from lack of the water in the containers being changed), they also think you, as a customer, want to smell that FOUL ODOR when you take the squeegee out of the container. When I say I thought I had been hit with a Sarin gas bomb when I held that squeegee. It was so bad that I didn't even try to clean my windshield because I didn't want the smell to linger. I promptly brought it to the attendants attention and they said "they'll take care of it right away." Now, if you didn't know, you now know - don't give me a time frame and think I won't check on it. I went right back 2 days later. Same dirty water and ferocious smell. I'm like are you kidding me?? Is that what you want to smell when you pull YOUR car up to gas station? No. You want clean, soapy water that has RECENTLY been changed so that it doesn't just smear the dirt, road film and dead bugs across your windshield. I mean the object of this process is to have a clean (or cleaner than what we had) windshield. Correct? read more

I would not give this gas station any stars if possible! FAULTY PUMPS and BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went there to get $10 gas in cash but my gas meter never went up! I complained but they did not want to give my money back and told me to go back the next morning to see in the computer if the gas really went through. I wanted to prove they were wrong so I went to Shell right across the street and pumped $10 gas and guess what?! It went up!! I went back and complained again but they were being hard about it, the indian guy was rude and still ddnt get my money back! Seriously.... who wants to go through all this trouble just for $10? Not me! Its not even about the money. Its about me paying for gas but didn't get any gas! I AM NOT COMING BACK THERE EVER! *Edit: I went back the next morning to check and still didnt get my money back. I know the manager could have given my money back if he wanted to but he let his pride get the best of him. This is actually a pretty decent Gas station, if it wasn't for their faulty computers costing me so much time, I would've given it four maybe even five stars. This is a fairly new gas station in the ever rapid growing Sacramento. Close enough to ARCO arena it provides competitive prices w/ well spaced pumps, and a Car Wash. It also conveniently decided to team up w/ a McDonald's too to help feed the junk food cravings you might have. Their store is large too, reminds me more of a 7-11. However there have been more than one occurrence of computer shutdowns here. I haven't had this experience at any other gas stations before. Basically the everything shuts down and you can't pay for anything via card, or even cash. It literally takes twenty or more minutes to fire everything back up again. While there's no sign of when this happens, if you get caught in the midst of this, expect to wait a while. read more

Prices are higher than other places. The airpump has a button, so I don't need to go inside and bother the cashiers about it. But the airpump is out of service quite often. Conveniently has a McDonalds connected to it so I can hit up that dollar menu while filling up my tank. Not very busy so I don't ever have to wait. The people who go here aren't ghetto, haven't had anyone ask me for change yet. The place is clean. One thing that irritates me is that the pumps don't lock into place, so I have to hold the nozzle the whole time while filling up! Would take off a 1/2 a star if I could. read more

I'd like to start by saying that I will never buy a cell phone charger at a gas station again and you should also exercise caution if doing so. So I purchase a charger and the cashier scans a pair of sunglasses around the same price and I pay and go home only to find out that the charger doesn't work for shit. So I return 6 days after my initial purchase trying to return it without the receipt because I didn't have it. The cashier named Muda immediately assumes that I am trying to make money off of the gas station. She points out how I purchased the last product of a particular brand and there are no more of that brand on the shelf, except that she says, "we don't carry that product, look at the shelf". And she did this maybe 3-4 times as if I was an idiot. So I go to the shelf and point out the very spot I grabbed the charger from. Then the manager comes and says he's been working 5-6 years at this Chevron and he never saw that product. HAH. Then the cashier named Muda says with hella attitude and I quote, "see? He doesn't even have a receipt." insinuating that I'm trying to return a stolen charger from another business. I argue for a few minutes before I brought up to the manager the fact that he has goddamn cameras everywhere. So I write down the time and day that I made the purchase and leave because they said they wouldn't be able to look at the cameras 'til noon. Soon I find my receipt and I return to the Chevron only for Muda to point out that this is a receipt for a pair of sunglasses and not the charger. So I tell them to look at the goddamn cameras and would you look at that, I was there, I bought the damn thing and their cashier's incompetence wasn't my fault, if you can't scan the product then don't sell it as another product. I will not be returning to this Chevron as they did not even apologize for their intensely rude behavior. As someone who currently works in retail, a simple "I'm sorry sir I can't return anything without the receipt" would have sufficed. I would have thrown that $16.23 down the drain and accepted it as a loss. But they accused me of trying to return a stolen charger after they made me look like an idiot because the particular brand of charger was gone. I will not return to a business that treats it's customers like criminals before even checking the facts. 1 star for making me exchange the shitty charger that "they didn't even carry", for gas because they refused to refund me even after they saw the footage on camera. read more

The cashier whom works the night shift is a racist piece of shit. My boyfriend and I went in around 2 am this morning for a bathroom break as we have been working for the past couple of hours. Anyways, my boyfriend(whom has IBS), apparently was taking too long..it honestly wasn't longer than about 15 minutes. The cashier Jahaad went to the bathroom and yelled at my boyfriend. When my boyfriend came out he continued yelling at him for being in the bathroom so long..mind you..I took just as long as he did but came out first and he had no problem with me..I am white and my boyfriend is black. Im not sure what the difference was being that we both took the same amount of time but were treated differently. I got most of the verbal exchange recorded of which I will be sharing with corporate as soon as they open today. Avoid this store at all costs unless you want to be treated like shit for taking too long in the bathroom while being black. Shame on you Jahaad. I will be pushing the issue on this. read more
