Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Employee Misconduct - Chevron 44th St & McDowell, Phoenix AZ Dear Chevron Human Resources, I am writing to formally report an upsetting and inappropriate interaction I experienced at your Chevron location on 44th Street and McDowell in Phoenix, Arizona, in the early morning hours of October 15th, around 4:00-4:15 AM. I have visited this station several times before and always had positive experiences with a courteous clerk. However, this most recent visit was extremely distressing and left me feeling humiliated and unsafe. While preparing a drink (using several cans of a Boba beverage I intended to pay for), the first cup I used cracked and began leaking. I immediately began cleaning up the spill myself to avoid creating a mess for staff or other customers. I disposed of the damaged cup and empty cans in the nearby trash to stay tidy. Before I could explain what happened or bring my items to the register to pay, a female employee (shorter, heavier-set, white woman) began yelling at me aggressively, accusing me of stealing. Then, a male employee (taller, dark-skinned man) joined in and also shouted at me, claiming I was trying to get away with not paying. I repeatedly tried to explain the situation -- that I was cleaning up and intended to pay for the drinks -- but both employees continued to interrupt me, raise their voices, and ultimately told me to leave and never return. I was shocked and embarrassed. I have never been accused of theft in my life. I also felt unsafe, especially given that this occurred late at night and I was alone. Their tone and approach were completely unprofessional, unnecessarily hostile, and discriminatory in nature. For context, I have worked in the service industry myself for years and fully understand how to communicate respectfully with customers -- even during confusion or mistakes. What I experienced at your store was unacceptable and far below Chevron's standards of professionalism. I am requesting that this incident be formally reviewed, including security footage from approximately 4:00-4:20 AM at that location, and that appropriate disciplinary or retraining measures be taken with both employees. I am happy to provide additional details or connect you with a witness who observed much of the incident outside the store. I am seeking a formal apology and confirmation that Chevron will take steps to ensure no other customer is treated this way. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Came here to get drinks and snacks. My mom's card and my card got declined with plenty enough money in each of our accounts. The cashier tried just ringing 1 bag of chips to see if it would work and it still didn't. Again, with plenty enough money in each of our accounts. The cashier was new and trying to be helpful. He called over the other worker to help. He was rude, nasty, disrespectful, unprofessional. Didn't try to fix the problem was clearly on their end. We had to use the ATM inside of the gas station. The money got withdrawn completely fine beings we had more than enough money to pay. Had to pay the ATM fee. When I expressed that I was upset he told me that I was never allowed back in there ever again. Very unprofessional and clearly just upset that he works at a local gas station overnight and can't do better for him self. I feel sorry for men who hate women and try to degrade them for no reason. RUDE and COMBATIVE cashier at 44th Street / McDowell Road in Phoenix, AZ. Gas nozzle leaked gas as I lifted it from pump (enough to wet my hand, leg and one sock) then spurted gas again as I tilted the nozzle toward my cars gas tank to insert nozzle. The gas ran down the side of my car and into the rubber trim around the backdoor. I filled the tank then went inside Cheveron. I told the cashier what happened in a calm, polite tone. Cashier was rude, unapologetic and insisted I had caused the incident. I wrote a note for management and returned to my car. Cashier followed my to my car with a man who did not identify himself to me. Cashier was rude and insisted she did not see any gas on my car. She told me "move your car so I can clean this area and put an Out of Order sign on gas pump". She never said please, smiled or apologized for the inconvenience to me. She accused me of lying and as I demonstrated what happened the gas pump nozzle spurted gas again without the handle being depressed. Cashier refused to acknowledge this and turned away as I spoke to her. I did use one bad word in my frustration, but apologized immediately to her. She remained turned away from me and repeated "move your car". I understand equipment can fail but there is no excuse for bad customer service and impolite treatment of customers. Stopped at this gas station to get gas and use their restroom. Started filling up and went inside as I was in bad need of a restroom. Restrooms were blocked off by signs stating that they were out of order! I saw three employees there and there could have been more. Asked if I could use one of them as it was getting critical and was denied. Makes you wonder where the employees go? Very rude IMO to deny an old man facilities when he is buying your gas. If I had known that they were refusing customers access to restroom facilities I would not have began filling up. This is the best gas station for Lyft and Uber drivers! Also anyone else who wants a free car wash ... SRSLY!? Yep a free $8 car wash if you buy $10 in gas. TWO THINGS I NEED EVERY DAY ... Well here I am reviewing a gas station; the reason I want to give a great review for this place is because, if you purchase $10 dollar gas or more, you get a free car wash! I repeat, it's a FREE car wash! The friendly owner approached my incredibly dirty car last year, and kindly explained (and walk me step-by-step) on how to claim those. So when the "carwash today?" screen pop up, select the silver (cheapest one, top left corner), and then proceed to fuel up. It will then print out a receipt with a code in the bottom. Finally, you can just pull into the carwash lane, and enter your code at the machine! If you forget to select a carwash option, just bring your receipt inside the store and they can give you a code too! The only drawback is that the air & water system is pretty much always broken. This place is newly remodeled. So far the service is good. $8 Car wash is free when you buy $10 or more in gas. You get to vacuum the car also. For what it is. You have a month to use the car wash if you don't want to wash by hand or vacuum at home. This place is a deal. And the other reviews says it's run down. You have to check it out again. So far it's a good place to go if you pay cash for gas.the amount your paying extra for the higher gas price comes back as a saving on a car wash. If you use it. Without the FREE CAR WASH... I honestly , like this corner store. I live right down the street so it's an easy walk. Everyone is always friendly to me and the service is great. I never take too long to get in and out of there. The area is ehh , but I , my sister or my girlfriend rarely have problems with anyone when we go. Highly recommend getting at least $10 in gas here so you can get your free car wash ! read more

Gotta be the worse gas station ever. First 2 pumps didn't work and top it all off they charge more if you use a damn credit card. I filled up only a half gallon and went to a quik trip. Located at 44th St. and McDowell Road easy access to the 202 and Phoenix sky Harbor international Airport. They have a set of twin brothers at work here; they are always nice and friendly. I have never had any problems getting gas here are getting to quick snack or something to drink. It appears that they are renovating and adding more space to the store.
